Şehnaz Layıkel

Şehnaz Layıkel wurde 1975 in Istanbul geboren. Sie studierte klinische Psychologie (MA) sowie Kunst und Design (MA) in Istanbul und New York. Fast 20 Jahre lang arbeitete sie in Menschenrechts- und Kulturorganisationen (u.a. SKYGD und Anadolu Kültür), in verschiedenen Kultur- und Kunstprojekten. Zurzeit promoviert sie an der Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK) unter der Leitung von Prof. Kathrin Peters und ist Teil des Kunstvermittlungsteams des Gropiusbaus. Şehnaz Layıkel ist Echoing Green (2007) und Ashoka-Stipendiatin (2012).
