Exhibition | Queer Footprints: Melodies of Migration Weaving the Threads of Identity

Join us to celebrate the opening of the photo exhibition "Queer Footprints: Melodies of Migration Weaving the Threads of Identity"! 

This showcase, organized by Oyouns fellows Dipesh Khanal and Shuhrat Saidov and the Oyoun Team, features the stories of nine amazing queer immigrant artists living in Germany. Their personal art pieces highlight deep, vulnerable narratives of resilience, joy, hope, finding community, and various intersectional experiences. 

You are invited to immerse yourself in these stories and experiences and show your support to the artists and organizers. Mark your calendars: The exhibition will run from October 4th to October 6th, 2023

The vernissage will take place on 04.10.23 from 17:30 to 21:30.
Afterwards the exhibition is open on 5.10.23 & 6.10.23 between 12:00 h and 20:00 h.

Dipesh Khanal 

Dipesh Khanal (he/they), also goes by Sezz and is a board member of Queer Youth Group. He cooperates with Oyoun as a grantee of the CrossCulture program. Dipesh has a Bachelor in Social Work and English Literature and works with young people and CSOs on different projects and programmes. 

Shuhrat Sinov 

Shuhrat Saidov is a human rights defender, activist, and art activist. He has been involved in human rights advocacy at the Public Foundation for Public Health and Human Rights since 2010. In addition, he is the curator of the first school for art activists in Tajikistan and founder of the ART Lab Tajikistan platform.

Shuhrat and Dipesh are fellows of the CrossCulture programme by Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen.
