panel | Berlin Cultural Majlis

This series is called "The Berlin Cultural Majlis". A similar version has already been organized in Washington DC by Sultan Al Qassemi and was very well received by the intellectual scene in the American capital.

The series of talks should offer Berlin/European based artists from the MENA region a platform in Berlin to present their works and discuss them with the audience in Berlin.

The kick-off event will take place on January 14, where Syrian artist Ziad Dalloul will present his work and Sultan will moderate a Q&A session with him. The event will take place in the hall (2nd floor).

Biography 

Sultan Al Qassemi 

Sultan Al-Qassemi is the founder of Barjeel Art Foundation, an independent initiative established to contribute to the intellectual development of the art scene in the Arab region.

January 21st with Rula Khoury (speaking about Palestinian Art) 17 - 18:30

January 25th with Nagham Houdhafia (speaking about Marwan Kassab-Bachi and his art) 19 - 20:30
