And I’ve got 10 years experience doing so. \nDuring the genocide against Bosniaks\, I grew up in Germany’s cosiest refugee camp (by “cozy” I mean it was a damn aluminum container)\, until I was forced to go “back” to a country I didn’t even know – Bosnia. In the ruins of Sarajevo\, I studied Journalism and filled my adrenalin addiction through adventurous trips to exotic destinations such as Bonn\, Potsdam and Berlin – at Deutsche Welle\, the Electronic Media School and the Parliament of Germany (know your enemy). Despite a successful career in Bosnian media\, I decided to return to Germany in 2015 – after almost 20 years in Bosnia. \nHere\, I continued working as a journalist\, became a columnist\, founded “Perspective Collective” – a collective of journalists that are refugees and/or POC. Now I’m building a media startup in Bosnia and working on two documentaries. \nJasmila Žbanić (director) \nBorn in Sarajevo in 1974\, Jasmila is a graduate of her native city’s Academy of Dramatic Arts\, Theatre and Film Directing Department. Before filmmaking\, she also worked as a puppeteer in the Vermont-based Bread and Puppet Theater and as a clown in a Lee Delong workshop. Her feature debut GRBAVICA won the 2006 Berlinale Golden Bear\, was sold to 40 territories and received nominations for European Film and Actress at the European Film Awards. \nON THE PATH\, Jasmila’s second feature film\, premiered at the 2010 Berlinale\, in the Competition section. The film had world-wide distribution in 25 territories\, won numerous awards\, and was nominated for European Actress at the European Film Awards. \nJasmila’s films and video works have been displayed at dozens of art exhibitions world-wide such as Manifesta 3\, the Istanbul Biennial\, Kunsthalle Fridericianum Kassel\, Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation\, New Museum in New York(...) She’s interested in themes relating to freedom and shifting the contexts in which we dream and create futures in the present. In her artistic work\, Abdulkarim focuses on questions relating to freedom and dreaming\, such as in the project We Should All Be Dreaming created with Sonya Lindfors. Abdulkarim has scripted the award-winning short film Dream Dream in the Single Case series by Tuffi Fulms and represented Finland at the Venice Biennale (2018). She has co-founded the Feminist Party and served as Vice President of the Union of Women’s Affairs. In 2019\, Abdulkarim was awarded the Minna Canth Award for her work on furthering equality.  \n__Dr. Emilia Roig \nRenowned social justice leader\, author\, and expert on intersectionality\, diversity\, equity\, inclusion and non-discrimination Emilia Roig has been shifting the discourse on systemic inequalities in Europe through the creation of the Berlin-based Center for Intersectional Justice (CIJ)\, the publication of her book WHY WE MATTER\, her numerous speaking engagements and her high-level consultancy services. \n__Jasmina Music \nJasmina Musić was born in 1988 in Banja Luka and came to Dortmund with her family as a five-year-old. She studied acting in Hamburg and Tuzla\, as well as psychology in Cologne. She is a co-founder of the diverse female collective Her.Story\, which will conduct research on the topic of violence against women and on the genocide in Bosnia and Germany in the 2021 theatre season. \n__ShaNon Bobinger (Moderation)  \nShaNon Bobinger is a moderator and systemic life and business coach. Sie beschäftigt sich vor allem mit Empowerment- und Handlungsstrategien von Rassismus-Betroffenen Jugendlichen und ihren Selbstorganisationen in Deutschland. Ouassima Laabich hat Public Policy an der Hertie School und der American University Beirut studiert und arbeitet als Moderatorin und Referentin unter anderem zu Rassismuskritik\, Jugendpolitik\, Digitalisierung und kritischem Zukünfte Denken\, \n__Jeff Kwasi Klein \nJeff Kwasi Klein ist Leiter des Antidiskriminierungsprojekts EACH ONE von Each One Teach One e. V. (EOTO). Dort koordiniert er Projekte\, die die menschenrechtliche Situation von Schwarzen\, afro-diasporischen und Menschen afrikanischer Herkunft sichtbar machen\, insbesondere durch ein Monitoringprojekt zu Anti-Schwarzen Rassismus in Berlin. \n__Jess Korp \nJessica Korp studierte Sozial- und Kulturwissenschaften am Goldsmiths College in London und schrieb ihre Bachelorarbeit über kollektive Melancholie und das Empire. Daraus entwickelte sich ihr Fokus auf Museen und deren Darstellung von Macht und kolonialer Dominanz. 2019 ko-kuratierte sie die Dauerausstellung “Flechtwerk der Dinge - Das Sammlungsschaufenster der Humboldt Universität zu Berlin" am Zentralinstitut Hermann von Helmholtz-Zentrum für Kulturtechnik (HZK)\, wo sie bis 2020 als kuratorische Assistentin und Lehrbeauftragte für transdisziplinäres Kuratieren unterrichtete. \n__Nina Alerić \nNina Alerić kam 1992 als Flüchtlingskind aus Bosnien nach Deutschland. Heute unterstützt sie als TFD-Fellow vor allem Schülerinnen und Schüler mit nicht-deutscher Muttersprache in Förderkursen und im Unterricht an einer Schule in Mannheim. As cultural workers responding to the times with community building\, Out of Time Embassy (OOTE) consciously meld together sound and healing to form sessions of high-energy improvisation. Spaces are reimagined as interactive meditation sites for historical excavation\, archival protest\, and creative processing. Open and free artistic expressions are cultivated with an intention of decentralizing and celebrating the knowledge production process through action based art forms such as dance and music. \nOut Of Time Embassy \nOOTE is a collective that emerged out of a pure necessity to create and build community. It is a multicultural group of curators producing conversation and curiosity about art and culture and civic engagement\, meditating on local and global impacts of cultural work. OOTE embodies an international unity for seemingly disparate worlds\, building bridges and creating safe(r) spaces for expression to be cultivated and nurtured.
