Bei dieser außergewöhnlichen Veranstaltungsreihe treten Dichter*innen\, Kurzfilmemacher*innen\, Tänzer*innen\, Musiker*innen und lyrisch begabte Künstler*innen auf.\nLasst euch von einer Reihe außergewöhnlicher Talente verzaubern\, in denen sich gefühlvolle Wortschmiede\, Musiker*innen und Geschichtenerzähler*innen vereinen. Angeführt wird das Programm von der renommierten Dichterin Aja Monet und der brillanten Rapperin und Dichterin Yarah Bravo. Die Dichterin und Saxophonistin Layla Zami sowie der virtuose Dichter Sami El-Ali begleiten euch auf dieser fesselnden Reise.\nFür die musikalische Untermalung des Abends sorgt die Poetry Meets' House Band unter der musikalischen Leitung von Johnny Kulo an der Gitarre\, begleitet von Sean Haefeli an den Tasten und Brian D. Im Jahr 2007 gewann sie den legendären Nuyorican Poet's Cafe Grand Slam Poetry Award. Ihre erste vollständige Gedichtsammlung mit dem Titel "my mother was a freedom fighter" ist ein Zeugnis für alle Mütter\, Frauen und Mädchen\, die darum kämpfen\, zu leben\, zu lieben und sich frei in der Welt zu bewegen. Die Gedichte von Aja Monet sind ein Werk der Schwerkraft. Ihr Werk bewegt sich ständig zwischen dem Ursprung und dem Ergebnis und lässt beide ineinander übergehen. Auf ihrem Debütalbum\,"when the poems do what they do"\, sehen wir ihr unermüdliches Engagement zu sprechen. Die thematischen Ursprünge dieses Albums drehen sich zuweilen um den Widerstand der Schwarzen\, die Liebe und die unerschöpfliche Suche nach Freude. \nAls Community-Organisatorin\, Dichterin und Pädagogin bewegt sich Aja Monet zwischen den Medien\, wobei jedes einzelne ein Element ihres Schreibens ist. Organisation und Aktivismus manifestieren sich als Teil eines Prozesses der Befreiung\, wobei die Gedichte\, die Musik und die Kunst als Schreiber der Zeit dienen. Aufbauend auf oratorischen Traditionen ist Aja der Kanal\, durch den sich ihre Vorgängerinnen bewegen. Zu jeder Zeit findet man den revolutionären Geist von Audre Lorde und den Last Poets\, man spürt June Jordan\, Amiri Baraka\, Jayne Cortez und sogar die ausdrucksstarke Flüchtigkeit einer vorbeiziehenden Blue Note. \nInstagram\nWebsite \nYarah Bravo (Spezial Gast) \nYarah Bravo ist eine Singer-Songwriterin\, Rapperin\, Dichterin und Beatmakerin. Bravo wurde als Tochter einer chilenischen Mutter und eines brasilianischen Vaters geboren\, die als politische Flüchtlinge nach Schweden kamen. Sie singt und rappt auf Englisch\, Schwedisch und Spanisch. Am bekanntesten ist sie für den Song Bluebird mit der Gruppe One Self und für ihre EPs Love Is The Movement und Good Girls Rarely Make History. Bravo war einer der MCs der Gruppe One Self\, neben BluRum13. Ihr Debütalbum erschien 2005 unter dem Titel Children of Possibility bei der Plattenfirma Ninja Tune. \nInstagram \nLayla Zami (Poetin/Musikerin) \nLayla Zami ist eine interdisziplinäre Künstlerin und Akademikerin. Als Resident Artist bei Oxana Chi Dance & Art kreiert und performt Zami multiinstrumentale Musik\, Klänge\, gesprochene Worte und physisches Theater. Das Duo tourt international und hat kürzlich ein Auftragswerk für The Kitchen NYC geschaffen. Dr. Zami ist derzeit Postdoktorandin im Bereich Performance Studies an der Freien Universität Berlin. Sie war Fakultätsmitglied und Co-Vorsitzende von Black Lives Matter am Pratt Institute in Brooklyn\, NY. \nInstagram \nSami El-Ali (Poet) \nSami El-Ali ist 32 Jahre alt und durch und durch ein 90s Kid. Geboren und aufgewachsen in Berlin\, wo er auch als Straßensozialarbeiter im Bezirk Wedding arbeitet. Im Jahr 2012 begann er unter dem Künstlernamen Sami El Poet mit Poetry Slamming und gewann 6 Jahre in Folge eine Meisterschaft nach der anderen. Wer Sami und seine Kunst zum ersten Mal hört\, ist fasziniert von den Emotionen\, die er mit dem Jonglieren mit Worten hervorrufen kann. \nYemi Osokoya (Filmemacher) \nYemi Osokoya ist ein Choreograf\, Organisator für inklusive Gemeinschaften und Filmemacher aus Lagos\, Nigeria. Er wird bei der Veranstaltung anwesend sein\, während wir gemeinsam seinen Kurzfilm "SCARS" zeigen. Als Suchender und Visionär verschmelzen Yemis Kunstformen mit seiner Umgebung. Die Idee\, des "mixed sein"\, sei es durch "Rassifizierung" oder unterschiedliche Herkünfte\, einen Menschen entfremden\, aber auch auf vielfältige Weise bereichern kann. Oft beschreiben “browns” oder “mixed people” das Gefühl\, nicht dazuzugehören\, wodurch eine überproportionale Schwierigkeit beim Anpassen entsteht. His research investigates tools to build an antiracist and powerful representation of trans bipoc people’s sociality\, identity\, and their historical journey. \nAstan Meyer is a singer\, actress\, curator and model born in France and traveling regularly to Mali since the age of 3. She combines different musical genres\, from jazz to rock to afro-techno to hip-hop and is also the lead singer of the band Asphalt Djelis\, which mixes ancient and futuristic sounds. She expresses herself also through all the dance influences she has encountered. She has appeared as an actress in music videos and commercials\, mainly in Germany and France. She has been involved in many creative collaborations such as with Puma\, Sevdaliza\, the Hoodoo Musical in Berlin. She is also a co-founder of Culture Supply and a member of Out Out Time Embassy\, a multicultural group of curators who generate conversation and curiosity about art and culture in Berlin. \nAmowia is a German-Ghanaian multidisciplinary artist who started dancing at age five. They learned hip-hop and contemporary dance\, teaching their own dance class by age fifteen. After moving to Berlin in 2014\, Amowia worked as a choreographer\, movement coach\, model\, and dancer\, appearing on TV shows and working with national and international artists. They honed their dance skills in London before joining the ballroom scene in 2018\, which allowed them to embrace their roots\, identity\, and queerness. As a DJ\, Amowia plays house music heavily influenced by afro beats\, hip hop\, RnB\, and ballroom beats. Their passion for house music has led them to give people a certain groove on the dance floor and take them on a journey. \nREGIE \nMirah Laline is a brazilian director\, actress\, dramaturg and theater pedagoge. She studied Directing in the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul\, and was in the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2015 as a DAAD scholarship holder. Productions such as „Der Hässliche“ of Marius von Mayenburg\, Sasha Marianna Salzmanns „Muttersprache Mameloschn“ and „Pátria Estrangeira / Fremde Heimat“ (Koproduktion Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe and Goethe-Institut Porto Alegre) won several awards in Brazil. In 2021 she developed the transcultural project „Juntos/ Bî Hevra“\, which took place at the "Galerie im Körnerpark"\, followed by „Das Humboldt Experiment”\, in Humboldt Forum\, with its first exhibition in March of 2022. Her work offers the opportunity of learning and exchanging about topics such as decolonialism and diversity in the cultural scene\, for institutions as well as for artists. \nCHOREOGRAPHIE \nBlack Pearl de Almeida Lima is a multidisciplinary Afro- Latinx trans brazilian artist living in Berlin\, Germany. She graduated from the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim\, has performed professionally in various theater institutions and renowned professional dance companies in Germany. Is currently a member of the Iconic House Saint Laurent Europe. She is the founder of Tampered Press – a literary and arts journal for Ghanaians and Africans\, and Black Girls Glow\, an initiative to foster collaboration among black women creatives. Larria encourages us to transcend and let go of the outer world in order to make room for an understanding within. \nShe has performed as a Vortex artist on the legendary 'Poetry Meets' stage\, immersing the audience into her fascinating lyrical realm. DESCRIPTION:The Poetry Meets Series is starting off the year with a plethora of good news. “Poetry Meets Jazz“ is back for its 3rd iteration with exceptional soul and jazz artist Yazmin Lacey as our main act. After a long hiatus Egyptian-Australian musician Mariam Sawires will be back as a Special Guest accompanied by Harpist Zainab Lax. \nFor the first time ‘Poetry Meets Jazz’ will feature an in-house Live Band. It will be honoring the intertwining power of poetry with Johnny Kulo on bass\, Sean Haefeli on keys\, Brian D. DESCRIPTION:The Poetry Meets Series presents its first edition of Poetry Meets SOUNDS celebrating alternative music\, sound art and the intersecting power of poetry. \nENTRY: 7PM | START: 8PM \nTicket: via Eventbrite \nMAIN ACTS: \nDouniah \nDouniah creates art that breaks boundaries. Her sense of aesthetics is reflected in both her music and her visual productions. Her sound reflects Gnawa and Northafrican jazz as well as soul\, jazz\, hip-hop and poetry. In her work\, Douniah illuminates herself and her surroundings with a critical and strong voice. She combines her perspective and observations on identity\, belonging and mental health in her lyrics. Born in Agadir\, Morocco\, raised in Hamburg and now Berlin-based\, the German-Moroccan released her first project - "Dream Baby '' - in 2019 on Cologne-based label Melting Pot Music together with producer High John. A collaborative album heavily influenced by jazz samples\, neo-soul and poetry. She either produced or co-produced the music videos for the project. This was most recently the case for Ebow's single "Friends''\, which was released in summer 2020. Douniah is also part of the Berlin collective Out Of Time Embassy and worked on the "Are You For Real" project for IFA. She has also made a name for herself as a feature guest on tracks by Farhot\, 2Kings and AgaJon. She graced the cover of the Spotify playlist "Butter''. As a pre-act\, Douniah played shows with Children of Zeus and accompanied Sudan Archives and JuJu Rogers & Negroman on tour. She is currently working with Berlin producer Dhanya (Modha\, Juju Rogers) on her first solo EP\, which will be released on Melting Pot Music in 2023. \nDamian Soul \nDamian Soul is a Tanzanian singer\, songwriter\, composer and guitarist. Born and raised in Dar es Salaam’s cultural melting pot Sinza\, Damian is one of the most talented musicians in East Africa\, performing a variety of musical styles such as Afro Soul\, Afro Jazz\, R&B\, and Bongo Flava fusion. \n  \nSPECIAL GUEST: \nMTCHL \nStreet musician and singer songwriter MTCHL rarely leaves home without a guitar or skateboard. The 24-year-old from Heilbronn lives in Berlin and learned to play guitar at the age of 12 and wrote her first song at 16. Her English lyrics are self-reflective and socially critical\, her sound inspired by rnb artists like H.E.R.\, PJ Morton\, Kehlani and SiR. She is currently working on several singles and an EP. \n  \nPOETS & SOUND ARTISTS: \nElsa M'bala (cover photo) \nElsa M'bala was born in Yaoundé\, the capitol of Cameroon. Her family moved to South-West Germany\, where M'bala visited an international school and learned to express herself in various languages. In 2009 M'bala co-created the Pan-African feminist poetry duo „Rising Thoughts". From 2012 to 2016 she moves back to Cameroon where she developed a new artistic language\, between visual and sonic explorations. Her current work uses voices and online samples in the form of transcoding\, code switching and algorithms patterns\, building a fine print of electronic griotage reaching from the past into the future. Mixing analogue and digital sound machines as well as electronic and acoustic instruments to experiment with speeches\, rituals and poetry. Elsa M’bala work Addis’63 is a sound performance that explore the complexities and dualities of life\, always torn between the aim to balance the inner with the outer world\, the spiritual quest for identity. Using the total submergence of electronic sound and the rhythmical properties of Ekang/Bikutsi rhythms of the Beti people of central Africa to help us reconnect with the mythological\, the spiritual and the imaginary. As the philosopher Mudimbe said\, Africa is an invention\, for that matter Africans have to (re-)invent themselves. \nYèni \nYèni is a musician with roots in Guinea\, Ghana and Germany. Her love for music was influenced by her musical family\, including her father “Linguist”\, a founding member of the hip hop band Advanced Chemistry. Yèni has been singing\, playing the guitar and the piano since childhood. She is a lead singer and composer in the Pan-African band Origin\, based in Conakry\, Guinea. Yèni is known for her sweet voice and her broad musical repertoire\, including Soul\, Afrobeats\, Reggae\, and House. \n  \nSPOTLIGHT ARTIST:  \nFeyisike Adetula (Ayansike) is a 17 year old creative talking drummer\, who started playing the gangan (talking drum) at about 11 years old. Her dream is to infuse contemporary art with the talking drum\, a feat she is thriving at. Taking influence from the rhythmic and expressive freedom of Jazz\, Otis’ work uses aesthetic language as an instrument to solo through themes of identity & existence. Since Otis' tenure as Sheffield's first Poet Laureate and debuts at Glastonbury and We Out Here\, Otis has played with the likes of Moor Mother\, Benjamin Zephaniah and Little Simz. \nSomadina is making music for herself. Part of the global generation of women where literally anything and nothing is simultaneously possible\, Somadina is finding her way one song at a time and cutting straight to the point. Her music is a tribute to the multiplicity of coming of age in a culture of metamodernism. In her 22 years\, Somadina has travelled the globe\, collecting experiences from a variety of places to call home. The genre blending nature of Somadina’s music is testament to her disparate references and ability to create her own unique sound. While Somadina’s music varies from track to track her unmistakable powerhouse of a voice is the ever present connection across her work. “If people can both hear and see my vision\, I figure they should be able to feel it..” And it is this creation of a feeling\, a mood - an undeniable energy - that makes Somadina such an intoxicating proposition. \nPoets: \nAmora Bosco is a Kenyan writer\, poet\, spoken word performance artist\, facilitator\, and activist based in Berlin\, Germany. Her mission is to bring about empowerment and positive change in the lives of African and the African Diaspora\, tackling issues of social justice\, culture\, health\, and education through creative writing\, storytelling\, and performance art. Bosco has and continues to establish platforms that give voices and raise awareness for diverse issues /situations in the everyday life of the Black diaspora community. Growing up in Mombasa’s thriving music scene Bosco performed\, recorded music\, and co-founded an artist network and event management organization focused on promoting Kenyan artists and music acts from the coastal region. Bosco works in project and event management\, teaches creative writing courses and facilitates workshops on a range of topics\, and offers African language classes. \nAdalet Müzeyyen: „I am because they are“ I am not just a me\, I am a we! In her stage presence Adalet wants to provide visibility for trans people and intersectional fights and show what they are capable of. Breaking down prejudices\, self-empowerment and empowerment as a community are Adalet's goals. As an aspiring lawyer\, she intervenes in political discourses outside of her art to fight for more rights and a better quality of life for marginalized people. \nOluwatoniloba  \nOluwatoniloba is a model\, content creator and poet. As a Nigerian with the zodiac sign Sagittarius\, she describes herself as a double force. Growing up in Stuttgart\, she found her love for poetry and fashion. She has been living in Berlin for 4 years now and found her love for herself there. Dalian\, China) ist Medienkünstlerin\, Kulturorganisatorin und Immigrantin der ersten Generation und lebt zwischen Los Angeles und Berlin. Ihre transdisziplinäre Praxis arbeitet mit zyklischer und generationenübergreifender Zeit. An den Rändern der kolonialen Vorstellungskraft arbeitet sie daran\, Technologie auf die Erde zu bringen\, indem sie kollektive Experimente in Ahnenerinnerung\, artübergreifender Pädagogik und vernetzter Solidarität entwickelt. \nAmira Zarari ist die Tochter jemenitisch-eritreischer Eltern\, eine von sechs Geschwistern und in Deutschland geboren und aufgewachsen. Schon in jungen Jahren war sie in vielerlei Hinsicht kreativ. Inspiriert durch das US-amerikanische Poesieformat Def Poetry Jam begann sie mit 16 Jahren\, Gedichte zu schreiben und auf der Bühne vorzutragen. Ihre Gedichte reflektieren ihre Realität als schwarze muslimische Frau\, die in Deutschland lebt. Nach einer Ablehnung an einer Kunsthochschule begann sie ein Studium der Middle Eastern Studies an der Universität Hamburg\, das sie derzeit beendet. Sie hat eine große Leidenschaft für Musik\, Interieur und Kaffee. Ihr Traum und ihre Vision ist es\, diese Leidenschaften eines Tages zu vereinen. \nArijit Bhattacharyya (b. 1994\, Bally) ist ein Künstler und unabhängiger Kurator\, der derzeit in Deutschland lebt und arbeitet. Seine Praxis dreht sich um umstrittene Erzählungen des Widerstands durch soziales Engagement\, Designinterventionen\, große Wandmalereien und Lecture-Performances. Sein künstlerischer Diskurs ist tief verwurzelt in der Auseinandersetzung mit der soziopolitischen Geschichte und ihren Auswirkungen auf kulturelle Praktiken. Als Kurator ist er an künstlerischen Verhandlungen beteiligt\, die Methoden des sozialen Ungehorsams erforschen. \nBruna Barros (or Mercúrio) ist multidisziplinäre*r Künstler*in und Übersetzer*in. Durch Literatur\, Übersetzung\, Kino und bildende Kunst schafft Bruna Erzählungen der Zuneigung. Zusammen mit Jess Oliveira bildet sie das Übersetzer-Künstler-Duo cocoruto. Bruna glaubt an die Wichtigkeit\, über sich selbst zu sprechen\, und an die Bedeutung des Erzählens von Geschichten. Als Dichter*in wurden sie in der von Jarid Arraes herausgegebenen Anthologie Poetas Negras Brasileiras vorgestellt. Als Filmemacher*in schrieb und inszenierte sie den Kurzfilm "Amor de Ori" (2017) und war Co-Autor*in und Co-Regisseur*in des Kurzdokumentarfilms "à beira do planeta mainha soprou a gente" (2020)\, der für den Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro 2021 in der Kategorie Kurzdokumentation nominiert wurde.   \nJess Oliveira ist Übersetzerin\, Forscherin\, Dichterin\, Mitglied der Forschungsgruppe Übersetzen im Schwarzen Atlantik (UFBA\, Brasilien) und Mitglied des Übersetzungs-Kunst-Duos cocuruto mit Bruna Barros. Derzeit Doktorandin in Literatur und Kultur (UFBA)\, mit einem CAPES/DAAD-Forschungsstipendium (2021-2022) an der Universität Bayreuth. In den Jahren 2019 und 2020 war sie Teil der Künstlerresidenz “Rethinking the Aesthetics of the Colony” in Johannesburg (Südafrika) und der gleichnamigen Plattform für Übersetzungsstudien und politische Imagination in der Diaspora. Im Jahr 2020 war sie nominiert für den 62. Jabuti Award in der Kategorie Übersetzung. \nCarla Abilés wurde in Salta\, Argentinien\, geboren und lebt heute in Berlin. Sie ist Teil einer Familie mit einer starken Migrationsgeschichte aus ihrem Herkunftsort. Sie arbeitet mit Poesie\, Installationen\, Fotografie\, Malerei und Stickerei auf verschiedenen Trägern wie Papier und auch auf der Haut als Teil einer Erkundung durch analoge Tätowiertechniken. Ihre Arbeiten befassen sich mit der Idee von Machtbeziehungen und der Überschneidung von Migration\, Feminismus\, Technologie und brauner Kultur. \nJumoke Adeyanju ist eine interdisziplinäre\, mehrsprachige Autorin\, Kuratorin und Tänzerin. Unter ihrem Pseudonym mokeyanju tritt sie gelegentlich als Vinyl-Selektorin und aufstrebende Klangkünstlerin auf. Jumoke ist die Gründerin der Poetry Meets Series [est. 2014]\, Ko-Kuratorin von Sensitivities of Dance bei SAVVY Contemporary und moderiert ihre eigene Radiosendung Sauti ya àkókò auf Refuge Worldwide. Sie hat ihre künstlerischen Arbeiten auf internationalen Literaturfestivals präsentiert und dabei in Englisch\, Deutsch\, Kiswahili und Yorùbá performt..  \nOzan Zakariya Keskinkılıç ist Politikwissenschaftler\, freier Autor und Lyriker. Er studierte in Wien und Berlin und lehrt und forscht an Berliner Hochschulen. 2021 wurde er als Mitglied der Expert*innenkommission gegen antimuslimischen Rassismus in Berlin berufen. Im gleichen Jahr erschien “Muslimaniac. Die Karriere eines Feindbildes” in der Edition Körber. Neben wissenschaftlichen Texten schreibt Keskinkılıç Essays\, Prosa und Lyrik. Seine Gedichte werden in Literaturzeitschriften und Anthologien in Deutschland\, Österreich und der Schweiz veröffentlicht. Für den Zyklus “jetzt nicht an gog und magog denken” wurde er von der Akademie für gesprochenes Wort ausgezeichnet. Im August 2022 erscheint sein Lyrikdebüt “prinzenbad” im ELIF Verlag.  \nSara Ehsan ist eine iranische Autorin und lebt in Karlsruhe. Ihr Schwerpunkt liegt auf Lyrik\, Kurzprosa und Theaterstücken. Ihr Werk wurde in vier Gedichtbänden sowie in zahlreichen Literaturzeitschriften und Anthologien veröffentlicht. Es wurde ins Englische\, Schwedische und Serbische übersetzt. Sara arbeitet auch als Dolmetscherin/Übersetzerin und Antidiskriminierungsberaterin. Sie gibt Schreibworkshops für BIPoC-Frauen und Student*innen.   \nKondo Heller (she/they) ist ein*e kenianisch-deutsche*r Dichter*in\, Schriftsteller*in und experimentelle*r Filmemacher*in. Kondo ist Barbican Young Poet 18/19\, Stipendiat*in der Obsidian Foundation\, Ledbury Critic und Image Text Ithaca Junior Fellow. Momentan interessiert sich Kondo besonders für statischen Sound als Portal der Erinnerung\, der Gemeinschaft und des Archivs. Zurzeit studiert Kondo an der Cornell University den MFA in Poesie. \nLeman Sevda Darıcıoğlu (Berlin & Istanbul) ist ein*e Künstler*in\, der*die größtenteils im Bereich der Performance-Kunst arbeitet. Darıcıoğlu macht hauptsächlich lang andauernde Live-Performances\, aber auch Videos\, Installationen und öffentliche Interventionen. In den Performances untersucht Darıcıoğlu die physischen/emotionalen Grenzen\, Begrenzungen und Potenziale des Körpers. Ausgehend von diesem körperlichen Ansatz interessiert sich Darıcıoğlu für Chronopolitik und Nekropolitik aus einer Perspektive\, die die Verletzlichkeit und Stärke marginalisierter Körper in den Mittelpunkt stellt. Darıcıoğlu arbeitet an Queer-Aneignungsmethoden der Vergangenheit und der Gegenwart aus einer nicht-westlichen Perspektive und entwickelt körperliche Strategien\, um die Geschichte von Minderheitengruppen anzusprechen\, die von der hegemonialen Geschichte ausgeschlossen sind. \nAkinbode Akinbiyi wurde als Sohn nigerianischer Eltern in Oxford\, England\, geboren. Er ging in Nigeria\, England und Deutschland zur Schule und studierte an der Universität Ibadan Englisch (B.A.). Akinbode arbeitet seit 1977 als freiberuflicher Fotograf. Im Jahr 1987 erhielt er ein STERN-Reportagestipendium\, um in den Städten Lagos\, Kano und Dakar zu arbeiten. Im Jahr 1993 war Akinbiyi Mitbegründer von UMZANZSI\, einem Kulturzentrum in Clermont Township in Durban\, Südafrika. Akinbiyis fotografischer Schwerpunkt liegt auf großen\, sich ausbreitenden Megastädten. Er wandert und schlängelt sich über die Autobahnen und Nebenstraßen\, um die moderne Metropole zu verstehen und sich mit ihr auseinanderzusetzen. Er wandert und arbeitet vor allem in und auf den vier großen afrikanischen Städten Lagos\, Kairo\, Kinshasa und Johannesburg\, streift aber auch durch andere Großstädte wie Khartum\, Addis Abeba\, Dakar und Bamako\, um nur einige zu nennen. Auch europäische\, nord- und südamerikanische Städte sind wichtige Ziele: kürzlich besuchte er Sao Paulo und 2019 Chicago. \nOxana Chi ist eine deutsch-nigerianische Choreographin\, Tänzerin\, Filmemacherin\, Kuratorin\, und Pädagogin. In ihrer Kunst verschmelzen die Gegenwart und ihre spürbaren Verbindungen zur Vergangenheit und Zukunft. Ihr Repertoire umfasst 20 Produktionen\, die international aufgeführt wurden.  Zu ihren Auszeichnungen zählen u.a. AIR at Abrons Arts Center\, Ambassador of Peace bei DOSHIMA und “A to Z of People Who Power The Dance World” (The Dance Enthusiast’s). Sie kuratierte Events für Schauspiel Dortmund\, Transitions Festival Berlin (Dagesh)\, und International Human Rights Art Festival New York\, u.a. Als Mentorin begleitet und bestärkt sie junge Tanzschaffende und war 2022 Guest Choreographin im Studiengang Choreographie bei der New York University. \nDr. Layla Zami ist interdisziplinäre Akademikerin und Künstlerin. Sie wurde in Paris geboren und schöpft Inspiration aus ihrem afro-karibisch-indischen und jüdisch-deutsch-russischen kulturellen Erbe. Als Resident Artist mit Oxana Chi Dance & Art kreiert und performt sie Musik\, Spoken Words und Theater. Poetisch-politisch verarbeitet und vermittelt sie Themen wie Erinnerung\, Diaspora und Zugehörigkeit. Sie ist wiss. Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Theaterwissenschaft (FU Berlin) und Adj. BLAZEY’s soulful voice and fiery rhythmics create a sound that’s vulnerable\, powerful and uplifting at the same time. \nSpecial Guest: Sadik Wave \nFresh\, catchy sound has been ringing out of the speakers of his followers for a few months now. She has been living in Potsdam since 2019\, where she is studying language pedagogy and narrative arts in social work\, while also working as a social worker in a school in Berlin. Writing\, dancing and performing are among her greatest passions\, as they allow her to deal with topics that are important to her\, such as language and identity. \nPoet: Jil Jilec \nJil Jilec is a twenty-something woman who processes her experiences through poetry & music\, while on a mission to spread more knowledge. What inspires her to share her art is to leave others with food for thought\, to realize ones own self-worth & how sacred human interaction is. That should never be taken for granted.
