He performs concerts internationally\, in which he gathers distinguished musicians and singers from the west and East\, to advocate classical Arabic music in a contemporary world. \n_Layth Sidiq: Director  \nRegarded as one of today’s most gifted violinists\, Layth Sidiq is a Grammy-nominated violinist\, composer and educator\, who has toured the world and performed with major artists in world renowned venues. He is the Artistic Director of the New York Arabic Orchestra and often collaborates with institutions and agencies like Carnegie Hall and the UNESCO\, to further advance the cultural representation and inclusivity of Arabic music worldwide. \n_Ismail Lumanovski: Clarinet (Soloist)  \nThe extraordinary clarinetist Ismail Lumanovski is a musical force of passion and dynamic virtuosity. Already of\ninternational distinction\, Lumanovki has launched a major career as a soloist\, chamber musician in both classical\nand cross-over repertoire. His synergistic blend of natural talent and training combines the spirit of folk music\nwith the discipline of classical music. \nHis performances have been widely reviewed. DESCRIPTION:This series is called "The Berlin Cultural Majlis". A similar version has already been organised in Washington D.C. by Sultan Al-Qassemi and was very well received by the intellectual scene in the American capital. \nThe series of talks should offer Berlin/European based artists from the MENA region a platform in Berlin to present their works and discuss them with the audience in Berlin. \nThe kick-off event will take place on 14 January\, where Syrian artist Ziad Dalloul will present his work and Sultan will moderate a Q&A session with him.
