DESCRIPTION:Der Verlust von Land\, die Suche nach Sicherheit und die Suche nach Raum für Trauer. \nDer Verlust von Land führt zu einem andauernden Trauerprozess. Das Bedürnis der betroffenen Menschen nach einem Ort\, an dem angemessen getrauert und Sicherheit gefunden werden kann\, ist groß.\nAuf der Suche nach Vertrautheit durch Menschen\, Erfahrungen und Sprache entsteht jedoch ein Teufelskreis aus unvollständiger Trauer und unbeantworteten Fragen.\nNachdem ihnen ihr Land beraubt wurde\, halten sich Menschen dort auf\, an dem zumindest die Geschichte des Landes weitergeführt und eine Vision als letzte Verbindung zu dem bewahrt werden kann\, was von dem Wesen übrig geblieben ist. \nDieses Konzept wirft die Frage nach Heimat und Zugehörigkeit auf\, eine Frage\, die untrennbar mit Freiheit\, Gerechtigkeit und Macht verbunden ist. \nDa diese Ausstellung Teil der Konferenz "Artificial intelligence and journalism in the Global South" ist\, sind Künstler*innen dazu eingeladen\, durch multimediale Beiträge Kunstwerke zu schaffen\, die KI-Werkzeuge in irgendeiner Form in ihren kreativen Prozess einbeziehen oder über sie reflektieren (indem sie sie verwenden\, sie kritisieren usw.).\nDenn KI ist ein unvermeidlich vorherrschendes Werkzeug bei der Gestaltung unserer Wahrnehmung der Realität. \nNach der Eröffung kann die Ausstellung vom 09.12. bis zum 15.12.2023\, täglich vn 10:00 h bis 18:00 h besucht werden. \nTicket: FREIER EINTRITT! \nSprache: Englisch + Arabisch \n  \nBiografien \nMENA Art Gallery \nMENA ist eine Online-Galerie\, deren Ziel es ist\, die lebendigste und einzigartigste Kunst des Nahen Ostens und Nordafrikas einer breiten Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen. DESCRIPTION:Eine Ausstellung mit den diesjährigen Eindrücken von Oyoun's Tiny House auf Tour\n\nNach einer Reise an fünf verschiedene Berliner Kulturorte und mit einem Angebot von insgesamt über 34 verschiedenen Veranstaltungen und Workshops im Laufe von fünf Wochen wurde Oyouns Tiny House zu einem nomadischen Treffpunkt\, um gemeinsam zu erschaffen und weniger bekannte Ecken Berlins zu erforschen. \nExperience Oyounity bietet nun die Möglichkeit sich durch eine multimediale Ausstellung eine Vorstellung von der aufregenden Reise des Tiny House zu verschaffen. Von Fotos\, Videos\, künstlerische Objekten\, Ton und Sprache bis hin zur Möglichkeit\, selbst Dinge zu schaffen\, wurde ein Gefühl von Gemeinschaft durch das kollektive Kreieren freigesetzt. Die Workshops verbindet besonders dieser kollaborative Aspekt der Veranstaltungen. \nWir freuen uns sehr\, euch zur Eröffnung dieser Gruppenausstellung einzuladen\, in der wir eine immersive Erfahrung der Tiny House Tour bieten. \nWenn Ihr das Oyoun betretet\, habt Ihr direkt die Möglichkeit mit Maurice Leoni-Osion und Linda Hamoui an dieser Ausstellung mitzuwirken\, indem ihr in den beiden Telefonzellen\, die auf beiden Seiten des Eingangs des Gebäudes ausgestellt sind\, einen Einblick in ihre Workshops erhaltet. Folgt ihr den Pfeilen zum Foyer im ersten Stock\, werdet ihr von den vielen fotografischen Aspekten der Reise von Tiny Oyounity begrüßt\, welche eine Sammlung von Werken der zahlreichen Teilnehmenden der vom Kollektiv Queer Analog Darkroom angebotenen Workshops darstellt. Sammy Scott\, Stella Rae Binion & Maurice Leoni-Osion arbeiten zusammen\, um euch einen ruhigen Rückzugsort zu bieten\, an dem ihr euch in der Poesie von Bild\, Ton und Stimme verlieren könnt. Bei Experience Oyounity geht es vor allem darum\, einen Raum miteinander zu teilen. Deshalb wird es am Eröffnungsabend einen Ort geben\, an dem ihr euch unter die Leute mischen\, tanzen\, einen Drink genießen und den Eindrücken der Workshop-Moderator*innen direkt zuhören könnt. Spart euch auf dem Weg nach Hause etwas mehr Zeit ein\, um das Tiny House auf dem Parkplatz von Oyoun zu betreten. Podcasting in einem antirassistischen/aktivistischen Kontext" ermöglichte es den Teilnehmenden\, Podcasts und die Möglichkeiten der Informationsverbreitung zu verstehen und zu nutzen. \nMaurice Leoni-Osions "The Home ReMixtape Archives"-Workshops waren eine Hommage an das Konzept von Heimat und Gemeinschaft\, in dem verschiedene kreative Methoden zur gemeinsamen Erstellung von Mixtapes eingesetzt wurden\, die das Gefühl von Vertrautheit und Zugehörigkeit vermittelten. \nSammy Scott & Stella Rae Bins "The Impossible Project" befasste sich mit den Unterschieden zwischen schwarzer Repräsentation und schwarzer Visualität. Indem sie sich dem normativen\, präskriptiven und fetischisierenden (weißen) Blick verweigerten\, feierten sie die Behauptung ihrer Handlungsfähigkeit und Vorstellungskraft als Schwarze Bildermacher. \nLey Mauthofer & Ana Uebachs "Let's Get Chemical"-Workshop ermöglichte es den Teilnehmenden\, gemeinsam in die Tiefen analoger fotografischer Praktiken abzutauchen und sich mit der Entwicklung ihrer eigenen Schwarz-Weiß-Filmrolle vertraut zu machen. \nSophie Klockenbusch und Jasper J. Maurer haben zwei Workshops – “Seeing Yourself: Queer Self-Portraits” und “Seeing others: Queer Portraits” – angeboten\, die queere Identitäten feiern und die Bedeutung ihrer Darstellung in der Fotografie mit einer Einführung in Porträts und Selbstporträts hervorheben. \nLaura Jaburek Otegui zeigte den Teilnehmenden im Workshop “Urban Journey: Exploring Neighborhoods Through Pinhole Photography”\, wie sie gemeinsam eine Streichholzschachtelkamera bauen können\, und verdeutlichte dabei\, dass die Kamera selbst ein künstlerisches Objekt ist\, das das Licht nutzt\, und vermittelte ihren Sinn für Kreativität und ihr Können in der Lochkamera-Fotografie. \nDiese Ausstellung wurde von den Leitenden der Workshops und von Queer Analog Darkroom kuratiert\, einem selbstorganisierten Kollektiv für analoge Fotografie in Berlin\, das einen Schwerpunkt darauf legt\, eigene Fähigkeiten mit anderen zu teilen. \nAccessibility: \nDas Oyoun arbeitet stetig an einem möglichst barrierefreien Zugang zu allen Veranstaltungen\, die im Haus angeboten werden. DESCRIPTION:Die Veranstaltung ist ausschließlich für FLINTA* und BIPoC. \nDaMigra läd euch zu einem Filmnachmittag ein. Gemeinsam mit euch wollen sie mit dem Dokumentarfilm der afrodeutschen Filmmacherin Mo Asumang „Die Arier“ (2014) auf die Suche nach den Ursprüngen des Arier-Begriffs machen und verstehen\, wie der Begriff bis heute von Rechtsextremen in Deutschland und den USA missbraucht wird. \nIn diesem preisgekrönten Dokumentarfilm zeigt Mo Asumang\, wieso ein besseres Verständnis der Geschichte für alle wichtig ist. Sie reist zu den wahren Ariern in den Iran und auch in die USA\, wo sie sich mit Rassisten trifft. Sie geht zu rechtsradikalen Demonstrationen\, um mit den Teilnehmer*innen zu sprechen: Sie möchte herausfinden\, warum Menschen rassistisch ausgegrenzt werden. \nMo Asumang benennt rassistische Kategorisierung\, Stereotype und Vorurteile und zeigt auf\, was uns hilft Rassismus entgegenzutreten. Sie zeigt hervorragend\, wie Hass und rechte Propaganda bekämpft werden können. \nNach dem Film soll ein Austauschraum geschaffen werden: Was nimmst du vom Film mit? DESCRIPTION:Konzert zur Feier des 50. Jubiläums zum Fall der Diktatur in Griechenland. \nAm 17. November 1973 erreichte in Athen der Aufstand der im Polytechnikum verbarrikadierten Bürger*innen seinen Höhepunkt. Das war die erste massive und dynamische Manifestation der Bevölkerung in Griechenland gegen die Militärjunta\, die wenige Monate später\, am 24. DESCRIPTION:Eine Ausstellung mit den diesjährigen Eindrücken von Oyoun's Tiny House auf Tour\n\nNach einer Reise an fünf verschiedene Berliner Kulturorte und mit einem Angebot von insgesamt über 34 verschiedenen Veranstaltungen und Workshops im Laufe von fünf Wochen wurde Oyouns Tiny House zu einem nomadischen Treffpunkt\, um gemeinsam zu erschaffen und weniger bekannte Ecken Berlins zu erforschen. \nExperience Oyounity bietet nun die Möglichkeit sich durch eine multimediale Ausstellung eine Vorstellung von der aufregenden Reise des Tiny House zu verschaffen. Von Fotos\, Videos\, künstlerische Objekten\, Ton und Sprache bis hin zur Möglichkeit\, selbst Dinge zu schaffen\, wurde ein Gefühl von Gemeinschaft durch das kollektive Kreieren freigesetzt. Die Workshops verbindet besonders dieser kollaborative Aspekt der Veranstaltungen. \nWir freuen uns sehr\, euch zur Eröffnung dieser Gruppenausstellung einzuladen\, in der wir eine immersive Erfahrung der Tiny House Tour bieten. \nWenn Ihr das Oyoun betretet\, habt Ihr direkt die Möglichkeit mit Maurice Leoni-Osion und Linda Hamoui an dieser Ausstellung mitzuwirken\, indem ihr in den beiden Telefonzellen\, die auf beiden Seiten des Eingangs des Gebäudes ausgestellt sind\, einen Einblick in ihre Workshops erhaltet. Folgt ihr den Pfeilen zum Foyer im ersten Stock\, werdet ihr von den vielen fotografischen Aspekten der Reise von Tiny Oyounity begrüßt\, welche eine Sammlung von Werken der zahlreichen Teilnehmenden der vom Kollektiv Queer Analog Darkroom angebotenen Workshops darstellt. Sammy Scott\, Stella Rae Binion & Maurice Leoni-Osion arbeiten zusammen\, um euch einen ruhigen Rückzugsort zu bieten\, an dem ihr euch in der Poesie von Bild\, Ton und Stimme verlieren könnt. Bei Experience Oyounity geht es vor allem darum\, einen Raum miteinander zu teilen. Deshalb wird es am Eröffnungsabend einen Ort geben\, an dem ihr euch unter die Leute mischen\, tanzen\, einen Drink genießen und den Eindrücken der Workshop-Moderator*innen direkt zuhören könnt. Spart euch auf dem Weg nach Hause etwas mehr Zeit ein\, um das Tiny House auf dem Parkplatz von Oyoun zu betreten. Podcasting in einem antirassistischen/aktivistischen Kontext" ermöglichte es den Teilnehmenden\, Podcasts und die Möglichkeiten der Informationsverbreitung zu verstehen und zu nutzen. \nMaurice Leoni-Osions "The Home ReMixtape Archives"-Workshops waren eine Hommage an das Konzept von Heimat und Gemeinschaft\, in dem verschiedene kreative Methoden zur gemeinsamen Erstellung von Mixtapes eingesetzt wurden\, die das Gefühl von Vertrautheit und Zugehörigkeit vermittelten. \nSammy Scott & Stella Rae Bins "The Impossible Project" befasste sich mit den Unterschieden zwischen schwarzer Repräsentation und schwarzer Visualität. Indem sie sich dem normativen\, präskriptiven und fetischisierenden (weißen) Blick verweigerten\, feierten sie die Behauptung ihrer Handlungsfähigkeit und Vorstellungskraft als Schwarze Bildermacher. \nLey Mauthofer & Ana Uebachs "Let's Get Chemical"-Workshop ermöglichte es den Teilnehmenden\, gemeinsam in die Tiefen analoger fotografischer Praktiken abzutauchen und sich mit der Entwicklung ihrer eigenen Schwarz-Weiß-Filmrolle vertraut zu machen. \nSophie Klockenbusch und Jasper J. Maurer haben zwei Workshops – “Seeing Yourself: Queer Self-Portraits” und “Seeing others: Queer Portraits” – angeboten\, die queere Identitäten feiern und die Bedeutung ihrer Darstellung in der Fotografie mit einer Einführung in Porträts und Selbstporträts hervorheben. \nLaura Jaburek Otegui zeigte den Teilnehmenden im Workshop “Urban Journey: Exploring Neighborhoods Through Pinhole Photography”\, wie sie gemeinsam eine Streichholzschachtelkamera bauen können\, und verdeutlichte dabei\, dass die Kamera selbst ein künstlerisches Objekt ist\, das das Licht nutzt\, und vermittelte ihren Sinn für Kreativität und ihr Können in der Lochkamera-Fotografie. \nDiese Ausstellung wurde von den Leitenden der Workshops und von Queer Analog Darkroom kuratiert\, einem selbstorganisierten Kollektiv für analoge Fotografie in Berlin\, das einen Schwerpunkt darauf legt\, eigene Fähigkeiten mit anderen zu teilen. \nAccessibility: \nDas Oyoun arbeitet stetig an einem möglichst barrierefreien Zugang zu allen Veranstaltungen\, die im Haus angeboten werden. Die thematischen Ursprünge dieses Albums drehen sich zuweilen um den Widerstand der Schwarzen\, die Liebe und die unerschöpfliche Suche nach Freude. \nAls Community-Organisatorin\, Dichterin und Pädagogin bewegt sich Aja Monet zwischen den Medien\, wobei jedes einzelne ein Element ihres Schreibens ist. Das Duo tourt international und hat kürzlich ein Auftragswerk für The Kitchen NYC geschaffen. Dr. Zami ist derzeit Postdoktorandin im Bereich Performance Studies an der Freien Universität Berlin. Sie war Fakultätsmitglied und Co-Vorsitzende von Black Lives Matter am Pratt Institute in Brooklyn\, NY. \nInstagram \nSami El-Ali (Poet) \nSami El-Ali ist 32 Jahre alt und durch und durch ein 90s Kid. Geboren und aufgewachsen in Berlin\, wo er auch als Straßensozialarbeiter im Bezirk Wedding arbeitet. DESCRIPTION:Podium organisiert von Revolutionäre Linke mit Redner*innen von KOP Berlin\, Revolutionäre Linke und Palästina Kampagne \nDie staatliche Reaktion auf die Solidarität mit den Palästinenserinnen und Palästinensern hat es gezeigt: Die Maske der parlamentarischen Republik fiel und zur Schau kam die hässliche Fratze des repressiven Polizeistaats. Meinungs- und Versammlungsfreiheit verschwanden über Nacht. Wer die Kufiya – das ›Palästinensertuch‹ – trug oder nicht ›deutsch‹ genug aussah\, konnte von der Polizei misshandelt oder verhaftet werden. Hundertschaften durchstreiften die Kieze und schüchterten die Menschen ein. \nTrotz Verboten gingen Tausende auf die Straße\, um ihre Solidarität mit den unterdrückten Menschen in Gaza und der Westbank zu zeigen und den staatlichen Repressionen zu trotzen. Aber wie soll es weitergehen? \nWird dieser Ausnahmezustand zur Normalität? Ist Freiheit nicht länger auch die Freiheit der Andersdenkenden? DESCRIPTION:Kuratiert von Mai El-Gammal \nNach der ersten Vorführung am 22.09. setzt die Kuratorin Mai El-Gammal ihre Erkundung der Dialektik zwischen Film und Landwirtschaft fort und enthüllt ein unerforschtes Terrain\, in dem Kunstfertigkeit und Ernährung zusammentreffen\, um ein tieferes Verständnis für beide Praktiken zu schaffen und eine gemeinsame Wertschätzung für den intrinsischen Wert des Geschichtenerzählens und der natürlichen Welt zu fördern. \nFilm: A Flood in Baath Country\, Regie: Omar Amiralay (2002\, 52 Minuten) \nDer Dokumentarfilm erforscht die Auswirkungen der Politik der Baath-Partei in Syrien. Ohne Kommentar oder Kritik deckt Amiralays Film die Propaganda der Baath-Partei und ihre lähmenden Auswirkungen auf die Menschen im Dorf al-Mashi\, 400 Kilometer nordöstlich von Damaskus\, auf. The aim is to educate the audience about the socio-political situation in Sápmi and at the same time to make them think. It addresses noise pollution from power generation and its impact on natural sounds in nature. Special attention is given to Germany\, which buys electricity from Norwegian and Swedish Sápmi.\nThe discussion will highlight the destruction of traditional nature by wind turbines\, changes in wildlife behaviour and their impact on reindeer herders. Likewise\, the coal and mineral mines in Gallock and controversial construction projects in Finnmark that threaten traditional Sámi land and nature will be addressed in order to improve Norway's carbon footprint instead of using existing technologies to remove CO2. \n17:30-18:20 Presentation: “Indigenizing the Arts” by Asta Mitkijá Balto with Q&A\nIn her lecture\, Asta Mitkijá Balto gives a concise overview of the situation of the indigenous Sámi in Norway\, with a special focus on Sámi art and its important role in the preservation of Sámi society. Through images and examples of Sámi art\, she illustrates the journey of liberation from colonisation by showing how Sámi art serves as a reflection and critique of social issues\, evoking emotions that politics and science often cannot reach. As a young yoiker\, he toured with well-known yoikers such as Nils Aslak Valkeapää at home and abroad. He has worked on various cultural projects\, including the Sámi theatre in Kiruna and film productions\, and has travelled the Nordic countries as a storyteller. \nMarika Renhuvud\nMarika Renhuvud is a dancer and choreographer from Sweden's southernmost Sámi community\, Idre Sameby\, and now lives in Funäsdalen. She has trained at the New Education for Contemporary Dance and the Ballet Academy in Stockholm\, and has a diploma in didactics from the University of Dance and Circus.  Marika has been working as a dancer and choreographer since 2018 and founded the company RenhuvudDans AB in 2023. Marika's dream is to spread knowledge and understanding of Sámi culture through dance\, and is committed to spreading knowledge of her Sámi heritage.  All her dance pieces are based on or contain thoughts and ideas that originate from Sámi culture. \nLiv Aira \nLiv Aira is a dancer and choreographer who often refers to her Sámi heritage in her art. Since 2017\, she has been the founder and artistic director of Invisible People Contemporary Dance Company\, with whom she is currently touring with Ájttega and Akti Lij. She is the initiator of the Låvda - Sápmi Screendance Festival and the indigenous cultural festival Skájdde in the Storforsen nature reserve. She is currently establishing the world's first Sámi dance centre in northern Sweden outside Jokkmokk. She has a BA degree in dance and an MA degree in choreography from the Institute of Arts in Barcelona. \nLuis Bogado\nLuis Bogado\, known as "Enano\," is a versatile artist who has seamlessly merged his 14 years of karate expertise with a passion for hip-hop dance\, notably Breaking. This fusion has birthed his distinctive Latin-Style dance. Over two decades\, Enano has mastered various dance forms\, taught internationally\, and represented Venezuela in numerous competitions and cultural festivals. He's also a co-founder of the Foundation "Manzanoarte\," promoting social circus and the performing arts in Venezuela. It begins as a solo by Matagumpay and then includes the audience as collaborators and performers. First\, Matagumpay draws across the paper in weak lines until someone intercepts\, initiating the first dance. Charcoal and ink marks are evidence of our shared movement. In this mask dance workshop\, participants will be introduced to the historical significance of the mask dance and gain insights into its basic elements\, which are based on animistic thinking. In addition\, the workshop offers an introduction and lecture on the Greenlandic drum dance that will be practised during the session. Special attention is given to the creative learning process of the dance\, which enables participants to discover their own expression and inner drive. \nLocation: Oyoun\nTickets: Free admission I Registration: here (open till 11.10.23)\nLanguage: English  \nElectric Lies is a project curated by Camilla Therese Karlsen as part of Oyoun's overarching initiative Listening to the Land and its participatory outdoor chapter Sea behind the Wall.The three day long participatory programme focuses on the social political activism by the Sámi who are facing forced displacement from their land (Sápmi) in northern Europe\, due to state-driven “renewable energy” production. \nWhat happens to the land when indigenous peoples are forced to abandon their traditional way of life in\, of and with nature to make way for modern energy production for the masses?  What lies are used to convince the majority that this is the right thing to do? \nElectric Lies explore these questions with an interactive programme composed of workshops\, discussions and film screenings\, ultimately culminating in the performance intervention ČSV*.  \n*These letters have many meanings\, one of which is "čájet sámi vuoiŋŋa"\, which translates as "showing the Sami spirit" and is often used to promote Sami identity and activism. \nBiography \nElisabeth Heilmann Blind \nElisabeth Heilmann Blind is originally from Sisimiut in Greenland\, but has lived in northern Sweden for 30 years. She trained as an actress at the Tukak Theatre in Denmark from 1983-1988\, during which time she studied Butoh dance and Noh theatre in Japan. Elisabeth works as an actress in various theatres\, including Giron Sámi Teáhter in Sweden. Darüber hinaus erwarb sie einen Master in Global Studies an der Universität Basel. The core team consists of eight people\, all of whom bring a wide range of different skills and knowledge related to photography. In addition to their queerness\, it is the different identities and experiences of marginalization that connect the members of the collective and that shape their work and perspectives on photography. As part of the 'Urbane Praxis' project funding\, the Queer Analog Darkroom collective\, founded in 2022\, wants to help shape urban public space in cooperation with Oyoun. Rooms are not accessible to everyone in the same way. The goal of the QAD collective is to create spaces for a community around analogue film development and film technology through self-organized and non-commercial work. Are you looking for tips and tricks on how to effectively promote your work? \nWe invite you for an interactive exchange in various workshops with Hati\, Lara\, Louna\, Madhu\, Mithra\, Nina\, Nora\, Tariq and Yodit from the Oyoun team. What you can expect are practical exercises on how to create a customised Electronic Press Kit\, valuable sharing of resources and experiences\, and various networking opportunities. \nThis is a series of thematic and interrelated workshops. You are welcome to register for all\, several or selected workshops. \n*** \n"Cultural Marketing in a Nutshell" - a workshop by Hatice Tahtali + Tariq Bajwa from the Oyoun team \nFor this workshop\, Hati and Tariq from the Oyoun team will share with you basic insights into marketing campaigning for cultural institutions (and projects). Using the example of a previous campaign for Oyoun\, both will guide you through the different steps of advertising cultural content: from web announcements to social media\, press releases\, setting up newsletters\, building up (media) partnerships and print marketing. They will also introduce some of the tools being used to facilitate the different tasks.
