Oktober\, der anhaltenden Bombenangriffe auf Gaza und der entsetzlichen Zahl ziviler Opfer markiert der Verein „Jüdische Stimme für einen gerechten Frieden im Nahen Osten“ sein 20-jähriges Bestehen. Anders als ursprünglich geplant\, wurde das ursprüngliche Programm für eine Jubiläumsfeier der aktuellen Situation angepasst. Neben Musik der Mitglieder wird es Redebeiträge geben und ein Speisenangebot in der Tradition der jüdischen Shiva*. Im Jahr 2007 gewann sie den legendären Nuyorican Poet's Cafe Grand Slam Poetry Award. Ihre erste vollständige Gedichtsammlung mit dem Titel "my mother was a freedom fighter" ist ein Zeugnis für alle Mütter\, Frauen und Mädchen\, die darum kämpfen\, zu leben\, zu lieben und sich frei in der Welt zu bewegen. Die Gedichte von Aja Monet sind ein Werk der Schwerkraft. Ihr Werk bewegt sich ständig zwischen dem Ursprung und dem Ergebnis und lässt beide ineinander übergehen. Auf ihrem Debütalbum\,"when the poems do what they do"\, sehen wir ihr unermüdliches Engagement zu sprechen. Die thematischen Ursprünge dieses Albums drehen sich zuweilen um den Widerstand der Schwarzen\, die Liebe und die unerschöpfliche Suche nach Freude. \nAls Community-Organisatorin\, Dichterin und Pädagogin bewegt sich Aja Monet zwischen den Medien\, wobei jedes einzelne ein Element ihres Schreibens ist. Organisation und Aktivismus manifestieren sich als Teil eines Prozesses der Befreiung\, wobei die Gedichte\, die Musik und die Kunst als Schreiber der Zeit dienen. Aufbauend auf oratorischen Traditionen ist Aja der Kanal\, durch den sich ihre Vorgängerinnen bewegen. Sie singt und rappt auf Englisch\, Schwedisch und Spanisch. Am bekanntesten ist sie für den Song Bluebird mit der Gruppe One Self und für ihre EPs Love Is The Movement und Good Girls Rarely Make History. Bravo war einer der MCs der Gruppe One Self\, neben BluRum13. Ihr Debütalbum erschien 2005 unter dem Titel Children of Possibility bei der Plattenfirma Ninja Tune. \nInstagram \nLayla Zami (Poetin/Musikerin) \nLayla Zami ist eine interdisziplinäre Künstlerin und Akademikerin. Als Resident Artist bei Oxana Chi Dance & Art kreiert und performt Zami multiinstrumentale Musik\, Klänge\, gesprochene Worte und physisches Theater. Das Duo tourt international und hat kürzlich ein Auftragswerk für The Kitchen NYC geschaffen. Dr. Zami ist derzeit Postdoktorandin im Bereich Performance Studies an der Freien Universität Berlin. Sie war Fakultätsmitglied und Co-Vorsitzende von Black Lives Matter am Pratt Institute in Brooklyn\, NY. \nInstagram \nSami El-Ali (Poet) \nSami El-Ali ist 32 Jahre alt und durch und durch ein 90s Kid. Geboren und aufgewachsen in Berlin\, wo er auch als Straßensozialarbeiter im Bezirk Wedding arbeitet. Im Jahr 2012 begann er unter dem Künstlernamen Sami El Poet mit Poetry Slamming und gewann 6 Jahre in Folge eine Meisterschaft nach der anderen. Wer Sami und seine Kunst zum ersten Mal hört\, ist fasziniert von den Emotionen\, die er mit dem Jonglieren mit Worten hervorrufen kann. \nYemi Osokoya (Filmemacher) \nYemi Osokoya ist ein Choreograf\, Organisator für inklusive Gemeinschaften und Filmemacher aus Lagos\, Nigeria. SUMMARY:Podium | Ausnahmezustand – das neue »Normal«? Staatliche Repressionen und Polizeigewalt
DESCRIPTION:Podium organisiert von Revolutionäre Linke mit Redner*innen von KOP Berlin\, Revolutionäre Linke und Palästina Kampagne \nDie staatliche Reaktion auf die Solidarität mit den Palästinenserinnen und Palästinensern hat es gezeigt: Die Maske der parlamentarischen Republik fiel und zur Schau kam die hässliche Fratze des repressiven Polizeistaats. Meinungs- und Versammlungsfreiheit verschwanden über Nacht. Wer die Kufiya – das ›Palästinensertuch‹ – trug oder nicht ›deutsch‹ genug aussah\, konnte von der Polizei misshandelt oder verhaftet werden. Hundertschaften durchstreiften die Kieze und schüchterten die Menschen ein. \nTrotz Verboten gingen Tausende auf die Straße\, um ihre Solidarität mit den unterdrückten Menschen in Gaza und der Westbank zu zeigen und den staatlichen Repressionen zu trotzen. Aber wie soll es weitergehen? \nWird dieser Ausnahmezustand zur Normalität? Ist Freiheit nicht länger auch die Freiheit der Andersdenkenden? DESCRIPTION:Kuratiert von Mai El-Gammal \nNach der ersten Vorführung am 22.09. setzt die Kuratorin Mai El-Gammal ihre Erkundung der Dialektik zwischen Film und Landwirtschaft fort und enthüllt ein unerforschtes Terrain\, in dem Kunstfertigkeit und Ernährung zusammentreffen\, um ein tieferes Verständnis für beide Praktiken zu schaffen und eine gemeinsame Wertschätzung für den intrinsischen Wert des Geschichtenerzählens und der natürlichen Welt zu fördern. \nFilm: A Flood in Baath Country\, Regie: Omar Amiralay (2002\, 52 Minuten) \nDer Dokumentarfilm erforscht die Auswirkungen der Politik der Baath-Partei in Syrien. Ohne Kommentar oder Kritik deckt Amiralays Film die Propaganda der Baath-Partei und ihre lähmenden Auswirkungen auf die Menschen im Dorf al-Mashi\, 400 Kilometer nordöstlich von Damaskus\, auf. Der Film bewegt sich langsam von den Schüler*innen über die Lehrer*innen bis hin zu den Regierungsbeamt*innen\, wobei alle genau das gleiche Lob für den Präsidenten und die Baath-Partei verherrlichende Slogans aufsagen. The aim is to educate the audience about the socio-political situation in Sápmi and at the same time to make them think. It addresses noise pollution from power generation and its impact on natural sounds in nature. Special attention is given to Germany\, which buys electricity from Norwegian and Swedish Sápmi.\nThe discussion will highlight the destruction of traditional nature by wind turbines\, changes in wildlife behaviour and their impact on reindeer herders. Likewise\, the coal and mineral mines in Gallock and controversial construction projects in Finnmark that threaten traditional Sámi land and nature will be addressed in order to improve Norway's carbon footprint instead of using existing technologies to remove CO2. \n17:30-18:20 Presentation: “Indigenizing the Arts” by Asta Mitkijá Balto with Q&A\nIn her lecture\, Asta Mitkijá Balto gives a concise overview of the situation of the indigenous Sámi in Norway\, with a special focus on Sámi art and its important role in the preservation of Sámi society. Through images and examples of Sámi art\, she illustrates the journey of liberation from colonisation by showing how Sámi art serves as a reflection and critique of social issues\, evoking emotions that politics and science often cannot reach. As a young yoiker\, he toured with well-known yoikers such as Nils Aslak Valkeapää at home and abroad. He has worked on various cultural projects\, including the Sámi theatre in Kiruna and film productions\, and has travelled the Nordic countries as a storyteller. \nMarika Renhuvud\nMarika Renhuvud is a dancer and choreographer from Sweden's southernmost Sámi community\, Idre Sameby\, and now lives in Funäsdalen. She has trained at the New Education for Contemporary Dance and the Ballet Academy in Stockholm\, and has a diploma in didactics from the University of Dance and Circus.  Marika has been working as a dancer and choreographer since 2018 and founded the company RenhuvudDans AB in 2023. Marika's dream is to spread knowledge and understanding of Sámi culture through dance\, and is committed to spreading knowledge of her Sámi heritage.  All her dance pieces are based on or contain thoughts and ideas that originate from Sámi culture. \nLiv Aira \nLiv Aira is a dancer and choreographer who often refers to her Sámi heritage in her art. Since 2017\, she has been the founder and artistic director of Invisible People Contemporary Dance Company\, with whom she is currently touring with Ájttega and Akti Lij. She is the initiator of the Låvda - Sápmi Screendance Festival and the indigenous cultural festival Skájdde in the Storforsen nature reserve. She is currently establishing the world's first Sámi dance centre in northern Sweden outside Jokkmokk. She has a BA degree in dance and an MA degree in choreography from the Institute of Arts in Barcelona. \nLuis Bogado\nLuis Bogado\, known as "Enano\," is a versatile artist who has seamlessly merged his 14 years of karate expertise with a passion for hip-hop dance\, notably Breaking. This fusion has birthed his distinctive Latin-Style dance. Over two decades\, Enano has mastered various dance forms\, taught internationally\, and represented Venezuela in numerous competitions and cultural festivals. He's also a co-founder of the Foundation "Manzanoarte\," promoting social circus and the performing arts in Venezuela. It begins as a solo by Matagumpay and then includes the audience as collaborators and performers. First\, Matagumpay draws across the paper in weak lines until someone intercepts\, initiating the first dance. Charcoal and ink marks are evidence of our shared movement. In this mask dance workshop\, participants will be introduced to the historical significance of the mask dance and gain insights into its basic elements\, which are based on animistic thinking. In addition\, the workshop offers an introduction and lecture on the Greenlandic drum dance that will be practised during the session. She trained as an actress at the Tukak Theatre in Denmark from 1983-1988\, during which time she studied Butoh dance and Noh theatre in Japan. Elisabeth works as an actress in various theatres\, including Giron Sámi Teáhter in Sweden. Sie studierte Islamwissenschaften\, Nahoststudien und Kommunikationswissenschaften an der Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg sowie an der FAU in Erlangen. Ihre Schwerpunkte lagen vor allem auf islamischem Recht\, Islamismus und Sexualität im Islam. \nIm Sommer 2020 gründete sie gemeinsam mit ihrer Freundin Sarah den Podcast „Hamam Talk“ in dem sie über Rassismus\, Politik\, Kultur\, Gesellschaft\, Identität und Sexualität spricht. Alles Themen\, die sie aufgrund ihrer eigenen syrischen Wurzeln schon lange begleitet haben. \nNeben ihrer Aufklärungsarbeit gibt sie auch Anti-Rassismus- und Podcast-Workshops. Linda arbeitet aktuell als Community Managerin beim ZDF und Moderatorin für das Format TLNT.TALK.BERLIN bei TLNT&TLNT e.V. \nSarah Farhatiar \nSarah Farhatiar ist in Freiburg im Breisgau geboren und wuchs dort auf. Sie absolvierte ihr Studium der Islamwissenschaften mit dem Schwerpunkt Zentral- und Südasien sowie Soziologie an der Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. Darüber hinaus erwarb sie einen Master in Global Studies an der Universität Basel. Während ihres Studiums konzentrierte sie sich insbesondere auf feministische Friedens- und Konfliktforschung sowie Migration. \nIm Sommer 2020 gründete Sarah gemeinsam mit ihrer Freundin Linda den Podcast "Hamam Talk"\, in dem sie über eine Vielzahl von Themen spricht\, darunter Rassismus\, Politik\, Kultur\, Gesellschaft\, Identität und Sexualität. Another part will be going on a neighbourhood tour and additionally exploring how to develop photos\, using a scanner. The core team consists of eight people\, all of whom bring a wide range of different skills and knowledge related to photography. In addition to their queerness\, it is the different identities and experiences of marginalization that connect the members of the collective and that shape their work and perspectives on photography. As part of the 'Urbane Praxis' project funding\, the Queer Analog Darkroom collective\, founded in 2022\, wants to help shape urban public space in cooperation with Oyoun. Rooms are not accessible to everyone in the same way. The goal of the QAD collective is to create spaces for a community around analogue film development and film technology through self-organized and non-commercial work. Instead of using regular methods or violence\, we're looking for different ways to challenge the unfair power of colonial economies that exploited people's work over time. Our upcoming workshop aims to share ideas and come up with new ones together. \nThis workshop marks our initiation with Oyoun MediaLab\, that offers opportunities to turn concepts into reality by establishing an independent ecosystem through cooperative creation. Oyoun MediaLab is equipped with diverse tools like a digital development station with Cloud Server\, IoT setup\, laser cutter\, CNC machine\, 3D printer\, and programmable sewing machine. These resources create a platform for exploration and allow the community to reshape their priorities together. \nAt the same time\, our workshop embodies the essence of a typical hacker workshop\, inviting everyone to participate\, regardless of their familiarity with hacker-space approaches. We want to explore hacking systems\, whether reimagining current ones or creating new solutions. Für jeweils eine Woche halten wir an verschiedenen Kulturorten und -institutionen und interagieren mit dem umliegenden urbanen Raum\, der Nachbarschaft und den örtlichen Partner*innen. \nDas Tiny House wird von Montag\, den 9.10.\, bis Sonntag\, den 15.10. auf dem geräumigen Hof des Gemeinschaftshauses Gropiussstadt (Bat-Yam-Platz 1\, 12353 Berlin) stationiert sein. \nEuch erwartet ein umfangreiches Programm mit wiederkehrenden Workshops zu den Themen Podcasting mit Hamam Talk\, Mixtaping mit Maurice Leoni-Osion und Fotografie mit Queer Analog Darkroom\, sowie Pop-up Ausstellungen und Performances: \n--- \nMo 9.10. 15:00-18:00 h\n⇒ Workshop | “The Home ReMixtape Artchives”\nw/ Maurice Leoni-Osion \nFür viele von uns ist Zuhause der Ort\, an dem wir geboren wurden\, leben\, genealogisch verwurzelt sind oder ein Gefühl der Zugehörigkeit aufbauen. Diese Definition von Zuhause wird jedoch nicht immer von einer breiteren Bevölkerung geteilt\, insbesondere nicht von marginalisierten Gemeinschaften\, die wie alle anderen für angeborene Geburtsrechte akzeptiert werden sollten\, um eine innere Struktur / Schutz zu bieten\, um Kulturen\, Sprachen\, geliebte Menschen\, Geschichten\, Träume\, Erinnerungen und Zukunft zu bewahren. \nDie Home ReMixtape Artchives sind eine Serie von Kunstworkshops\, die die Erstellung von Home-Mixtapes als archivarischen Ansatz nutzen\, um unerzählte Geschichten rund um die Erfahrung des Zuhauses zu dokumentieren\, zu schützen und zu bewahren. Die Teilnehmer*innen werden Mixed-Media\, Graff Writing\, Illustrationen\, Zeitlinien\, gefundene Klänge\, Interviews\, Audioaufnahmen\, Lieder und Musikproduktion erkunden\, um gemeinsam an einem Community-Mixtape zu arbeiten. Das Ziel besteht darin\, einen kreativen Raum für verschiedene Stimmen zu schaffen\, um ihre einzigartigen Geschichten zu erzählen\, während sie einen kohärenten Rhythmus untereinander finden\, der zukünftige Erzählungen aus ihren Nachbarschaften feiert. \nDie Workshops werden in einer interaktiven Ausstellung vom 16. bis 30. Participants will explore mixed media; graff writing\, illustrations\, timelines\, found sounds\, interviews\, audio recordings\, songs\, and music production to collaborate on a community mixtape. Then please get in touch with us via kommunikation@oyoun.de and we will try to accommodate your needs as good as we can. \nBiography \nMaurice Leoni-Osion  \nMaurice is a multidisciplinary artist and director from Richmond\, VA.\, currently residing in Berlin\, Germany utilizing the culture of HipHop to produce poetry\, music\, photography\, films\, art programs\, exhibitions\, and cultural experiences to celebrate stories to preserve the stories of our youths\, communities\, and ancestors. \nSince he can remember\, Hip-Hop has always been like an extended relative in his family\, which has played a significant role in defining who he is. Under her supervision and care\, Maurice dug through the crates of his grandma's record collection\, was reprimanded for tagging (writing) names in Crayola on walls\, watched other family members perform acrobatic dance moves at cook-outs\, listened to Muhammad Ali kick rhymes predicting his knockouts\, and resampled his aunts and uncles' fashion aesthetics. As a result\, Maurice was consistently provided with an openness to be creative and courageous in discovering self-identity and expression. Hacienda\, an exploitative land system inherited from Spanish colonization\, still prevails today. In response\, filmmakers and artists are shedding light on the multifaceted aspects of post-colonialism\, exploring its impact on the landscape and the bodies of laborers toiling in the fields. \nThis screening by the curator Savannah Garcia offers diverse perspectives on this subject\, all with the shared goal of revealing the social\, political\, and environmental realities through the narratives of laborers\, farmers\, social workers\, and scholars. The film loops on a ritual of fire ensues\, as a small barrel lined with joss paper is lit seemingly with the touch of flesh. Specializing in art and realism\, and in documentary cinema in particular\, she has collaborated with the Cinéma du Réel (Centre Pompidou) and the Festival International Jean Rouch (Musée du Quai Branly) in Paris. She persues her research in Berlin\, on the relation between home (foyer) and nation in global history. She is also an active member of ALPAS Pilipinas and the co-creator of Banana Ketchup\, a zine dedicated in unpacking and deconstructing colonial narratives. \nSea Behind the Wall \n"Sea behind the Wall’ is a participatory outdoor chapter within Oyoun's overarching initiative Listening to the Land. DESCRIPTION:Harvesting Resilience – a workshop series by Zeren Oruc \nThis workshop series gives you the opportunity to rethink your relationship with nature\, food and consumption. You will be able to connect with different people in an exchange of skill\, knowledge and thoughts.  \nWhat is this workshop about? \nHarvesting Resilience workshops series are part of a long-term research project focusing on the food-land-culture relationship to examine the impact of our food production and consumption habits on the environment\, land degradation\, and forms of exploitation. Curated by Zeren Oruc\, the project looks at how we eat our land\, our cultural and emotional connection to food based on where it’s grown\, and less extractivist practices such as disappearing knowledge of foraging\, food banks\, gardens\, and more. \nBy using foraging and guerilla gardening in “community gardens” as one of the artistic and curatorial methodologies\, the workshops intend to decolonize and reclaim urban landscapes and ecological narratives from the lens of BIPOC and people with migration backgrounds. While tackling mainstream Western environmentalism that dismisses indigenous and migrant knowledge\, we want to relearn and share our knowledge in relation to the plant world and form new connections where we feel safe in nature. To facilitate the generation of this intergenerational and intercultural knowledge\, we invite participants to join us\, along with their elders*\, in remapping Berlin’s foraging paths and sharing their experiences. \nThe workshops will be guided by curator Zeren Oruc\, who is revisiting her place in gardening and foraging after relocating to Berlin\, and horticulturist\, forager\, herbalist\, and kochende Gärtnerin Lea Nassim Tajbakhsh. On the first day of the workshop\, we will go on a guided foraging tour where we get to know each other and share our knowledge. She has curated exhibitions and projects that illuminate the complexities of contemporary environmental awareness and rural ecology. \nZeren is co-founder of the Montemero Art Residency in Almeria\, Spain\, which focuses on alternative art production and land-based practices. Through a diverse range of workshops\, the aim is to connect decolonial knowledge and artistic practices with marketing\, design\, and knowledge dissemination. \nFourth stop: @ Korea Verband (Quitzowstraße 103\, 10551 Berlin) | The exact stop ist at Friedensstatue (Bremer Str. 41\, 10551 Berlin) \n*** \nThe project "Archive-in-the-making for Statue of Peace" aims to present the Statue of Peace as a vivid place of resistance and encounter for marginalized communities in Berlin on the 30.09.2023. With a one-day program in the Tiny OyoUnity project including a participatory installation in the Tiny House\, existing relationships of solidarity and self-organization will be made visible\, and open the space for new encounters. \nThe participatory exhibition will gather the work of political initiatives of marginalized\, racialized communities\, especially Asian diasporic groups\, in collaboration with local initiatives\, (post-)migrant (self-)organizations and community members. Through an open call prior to the exhibition\, Spicy Ginkgo reach out to respective communities to share archival material for the exhibition: photos\, videos\, and audio recordings of past events serve to document and highlight the significance of the Statue of Peace as a common reference point of solidarity in Berlin. \nAt the day of the exhibition visitors are encouraged to leave their own thoughts\, feelings\, comments\, and draw new connections between the exhibition elements and participate in the creation of an archive-in-the-making. \nThe installation invites visitors to engage with the aura of the Statue of Peace with curiosity and imagination. Through their choices of words and vocal gentleness you are set to feel something “you may have been hiding from.” When you experience Aka Kelzz\, don’t make an assumption. Just allow the words and music to flow through. \nAlice Danger \nAlice Danger is a freak from the depths: career whore\, hooker defender\, silver tongue\, firestarter. \nAntonio Herrera \nAntonio Herrera is a Mexican pop-singer and songwriter currently based in Berlin. Musically building on pop and R&B sounds with strong influences by hip-hop and electronica elements\, his debut album Solitude (2022) holds empowerment anthems with sounds and stories emphasizing opportunities for new beginnings. \nBendix \nBendix (he|they) is a white trans*queer*crip sex worker from Hamburg. He's sex positive\, a tired activist\, lover of bdsm and retro video games\, and a life-long student of marginalised thinking. In every little thing they do there’s some art and caring to be found. \nBreezy \nIf Audre Lorde was a rapper\, Breezy would be the embodiment because the non-binary artist’s hip hop takes on topics like racial identity\, gender politics\, sex positivity\, and queerness. Breezy represents the fluidity in the gray area between “man” and “woman” or “Black” and “white.”  \nBunny B. Blaq \nA queer\, asexual\, Black femme performer from the Caribbean\, Bunny considers herself a humble lover and student of song\, dance\, and the dark arts of cabaret\, such as drag and burlesque. \nCaxxianne \nJamaican-born\, Cayman Islands-raised\, Award-winning contemporary hip-hop and neo-soul artist\, songwriter\, and MC\, Caxxianne has been honing her skills on stages across Europe since 2018 and has not stopped since.  \nElio Coulibaly  \nElio Coulibaly (he/it) is a Berlin based non binary\, Afro-Scandinavian\, dancer\, multidisciplinary artist\, community organizer and educator. \nEmilian \nEmilian has been a sex worker for 13 years\, from stripping to escorting to erotic massages and more. They like to express their thoughts and feelings about the job in a fun and empathetic way through zines\, books\, poems and performances and share their knowledge and experiences in workshops for other sex workers.  \nKumi \nKumi is a Hamburg based Black\, fat full service sex worker with great pleasure in words and sea. Lives Pride in all identity aspects and loves to share these pleasures.  \nLexi Dark \nLexi Dark\, also known as Frau Dark is a Berlin based Showgirl and Dom*natrx. Her performances are an exploration of high femme fatale and sublime fusion of dark fantasy and alluring performance. \n\nLoud Lemons \nLOUD LEMONS is an absurdist prototype of Disco-Dub “à la French”: Intended to add zest and well-being to Pop music. To squeeze acidity all the way… \nPuck Ellington \nPuck (she|they) is a performer and artist based in Berlin with a focus in feminist\, lesbian and post porn and writing. A touch of etherealism wrapped in earthly form.  \nSanni Est \nSanni Est is a singer\, performer and transmedia artist based in Berlin who challenges notions of knowledge\, reason\, normativity\, and beauty with her voice and presence. Classically trained in Brazil as a singer and semiotician\, Sanni has long since fucked with an education grounded in white\, heteropatriarchal\, christian and colonial values. \n  \nDie Realisierung der Veranstaltung wird durch Mittel der DKLB-Stiftung ermöglicht.
