SUMMARY:Tiny OyoUnity @ ufaFabrik | Maurice Leoni-Osion: The Home Remixtape Artchives Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Tiny Oyounity presents:\n"The Home Remixtape Artchives" - a workshop by Maurice Leoni-Osion \n*** \nFrom late August to mid-October\, our Tiny House travels through Berlin districts\, engaging interactively with the local community and partners at cultural venues and institutions. Through a diverse range of workshops\, the aim is to connect decolonial knowledge and artistic practices with marketing\, design\, and knowledge dissemination. \nFirst Stop: @ ufaFabrik (Viktoriastraße 10-18\, 12105 Berlin) \n*** \nFor many of us\, home is where we are born\, reside\, genealogically rooted\, or establish a sense of belonging. However\, this definition of the home is not always shared by a broader population\, specifically marginalized communities\, who\, like everyone\, should be accepted for instinctual birthrights to provide an inner structure/shelter to protect cultures\, languages\, loved ones\, stories\, dreams\, memories\, and futures. \nThe Home ReMixtape Artchives is a series of art workshops utilizing the creation of home mixtapes as an archival approach to document\, protect and preserve untold stories centered around the home experience. Participants will explore mixed media; graff writing\, illustrations\, timelines\, found sounds\, interviews\, audio recordings\, songs\, and music production to collaborate on a community mixtape. The goal is to provide a creative space for various voices to tell their younique stories while finding a cohesive rhythm amongst each other that celebrates future narratives from their neighborhoods. \nThe workshops will culminate as an interactive exhibition at Oyoun on 16 - 30 November 2023\, where the public will have access to the 5-volume mixtape cassettes series\, each representing a community archive from five districts throughout Berlin. \nTickets: Free admission! I Registration here (until 27 August\, 15:00 h) \nPlease note that spots are very limited and we appreciate you cancelling your registration in case you cannot make it.  \nLocation: ufaFabrik - Internationales Kultur Zentrum \nViktoriastraße 10-18\, 12105 Berlin \nLanguage: English \nDo you need a translation for the event? Are you in need of a companion that is also joining? Do you need a sign language interpreter? Or are you joining with a wheelchair? Then please get in touch with us via kommunikation@oyoun.de and we will try to accommodate your needs as good as we can. \nBiography \nMaurice Leoni-Osion  \nMaurice is a multidisciplinary artist and director from Richmond\, VA.\, currently residing in Berlin\, Germany utilizing the culture of HipHop to produce poetry\, music\, photography\, films\, art programs\, exhibitions\, and cultural experiences to celebrate stories to preserve the stories of our youths\, communities\, and ancestors. \nSince he can remember\, Hip-Hop has always been like an extended relative in his family\, which has played a significant role in defining who he is. Under her supervision and care\, Maurice dug through the crates of his grandma's record collection\, was reprimanded for tagging (writing) names in Crayola on walls\, watched other family members perform acrobatic dance moves at cook-outs\, listened to Muhammad Ali kick rhymes predicting his knockouts\, and resampled his aunts and uncles' fashion aesthetics. As a result\, Maurice was consistently provided with an openness to be creative and courageous in discovering self-identity and expression. This allowed him to pop and break through the barriers of his living conditions with a newfound imagination and love for storytelling—notably\, introducing a long-lasting oral tradition of rhymes\, spoken words\, calls and responses\, and songs that have informed his practice as an artist and educator. \nInstagram\nWebsite \nThe project Tiny OyoUnity is part of the initiative DRAUSSENSTADT funded by the Berliner Projektfonds Urbane Praxis and the Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaflichen Zusammenhalt. \nAccessibility: \nOyoun is constantly working to make access to all events offered in the building as barrier-free as possible. For individual information on accessibility\, please send us an email to access(at)oyoun.de. We will get back to you as soon as possible. More info on this topic here. \nAwareness: \nAt Oyoun there is no place for sexism\, queerphobia\, transphobia\, any form of racism or discrimination such as anti-Black\, anti-Muslim racism or antisemitism. The same applies to any kind of violent\, aggressive or assaultive behaviour. Oyoun provides an open forum for dialogue and a place where we support and stand up for each other. SUMMARY:Relaxed Performance | Eszka EP showcase: skin_deep
SUMMARY:Talk | Queer Footprints: Melodies of Migration Weaving the Threads of Identity
DESCRIPTION:“Art is a refuge for the marginalized\, a sacred space where queer people\ncan reclaim their narratives and redefine their place in the world.” - Ocean Vuong \nGermany stands out as one of the most progressive countries when it comes to LGBTQIAP+ rights. Because of this\, a large number of queer people migrate to Germany\, seeking a better life and opportunity. However\, it could be challenging to live in a new country after leaving one’s country of origin.   \nWould life be automatically better and easier for a queer immigrant in Germany? This might depend on person to person\, as everyone has their own experience. Along with queerness\, queer immigrants carry other multiple- identities with them – diverse cultures\, races\, languages\, lived experiences\, and beyond.  \nCCP fellows\, Shuhrat Saidov from Tajikistan and Dipesh Khanal from Nepal are doing a project through which they aim to give space to and highlight the intersectional stories and experiences of immigrant queer individuals. They invite queer immigrants from around the world living in Germany to participate in a personal discussion and engage with a diverse group of people who share similar or unique experiences. The project aims to offer a safer space where people can share their vulnerabilities\, joys\, and bonds of solidarity. The outcome of the project will be a photo exhibition of diverse stories of queer immigrants\, titled "Queer Footprints: Melodies of Migration Weaving the Threads of Identity." \nFurther information about the discussion will be sent to you via email after the required number of participants is met. \nTicket: FREE ADMISSION! \nRegistration is required. Please fill out this form. \nRegistration Deadline: 10.08. \nLanguage: English\n \nBiographies:  \nDipesh Khanal  \nDipesh Khanal (he/they)\, also goes by Sezz and is a board member of Queer Youth Group. He cooperates with Oyoun as a grantee of the CrossCulture program. Dipesh has a Bachelor in Social Work and English Literature and works with young people and CSOs on different projects and programmes.  \nShuhrat Sinov  \nShuhrat Saidov is a human rights defender\, activist\, and art activist. He has been involved in human rights advocacy at the Public Foundation for Public Health and Human Rights since 2010. In addition\, he is the curator of the first school for art activists in Tajikistan and founder of the ART Lab Tajikistan platform. \nShuhrat and Dipesh are fellows of the CrossCulture programme by Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen. \nAccessibility: \nOyoun is constantly working to make access to all events offered in the building as barrier-free as possible. SUMMARY:Party | South Asian Hangout Vol. 3
SUMMARY:Workshop | Black Freedom Circle (Only BIPOC)
DESCRIPTION:Share\, listen\, and restore together. Reclaim your rights to be\, belong\, and become. Join us for growth and community upliftment. \n*This event is for Black Bodies and Bodies of Culture (Color). \nJoin the transformative Black Freedom Circle\, a space carefully designed to offer comfort\, understanding and empowerment. Together you will embark on a journey to unravel the unspoken aspects of your experiences and create a safe and welcoming environment to share\, listen\, grieve\, love\, witness and be seen. \nIn this sacred space\, you will prioritize the voices and stories that have been marginalized\, allowing them to guide our exploration as "Bodies of Culture." Through heartfelt conversations and active engagement\, you will delve into the depths of your collective narratives\, uncovering the hidden wisdom and resilience embedded within your lived experiences. \nFacilitated by an expert in relational processes\, somatics\, and group work\, this circle will enable you to regulate and restore your nervous systems\, offering a path to healing and rejuvenation. As you recognize\, feel\, and honor the profound effects of marginalization on your individual and collective bodies\, you will find solace and strength in the company of fellow Black individuals who intimately understand your struggles. \nThis event is not about education or immediate action. Instead\, it serves as a space where you deliberately slow down\, allowing yourself the time and space to process\, validate\, and acknowledge our emotions. By nurturing your inherent rights - the right to be\, to belong\, and to become - you can effortlessly reclaim your identities and embark on a path towards personal and collective growth. \nYou are invited to join this powerful Black Freedom Circle\, where your presence and participation will contribute to a collective tapestry of support\, resilience\, and liberation. Together\, you can foster a community that uplifts and empowers one another\, nurturing a sense of belonging and validation that is often denied to you in wider society. \n__ \nWhat will we do? \nThe session will begin with a guided meditation to arrive in the space and connect to what you bring into the space. \nFollowing meditation\, you will have a short round of introductions. To speak your names into the circle\, share where you are calling in from\, and what motivates you to show up to such a space. \nThen you will enter some breakout groups\, where the facilitator will give some prompts to contemplate and share. Each person will have time to speak while the others attune with and witness the others' process. \nUpon returning to the big group you will harvest what each group moved through and then close with another short guided meditation. \n__ \nTicket: 11.83 € \nIf money is a challenge right now but you still want to attend\, please email Jaden and we will find a way.\nWhat will we do? \nRegistration via eventbrite \nLanguage: English \nAbout the Facilitator: \nJaden is a biracial\, black-bodied\, man from the USA. With a comprehensive understanding of the interconnectedness of the mind\, body\, and spirit\, Jaden is a passionate advocate for leveraging somatics\, encompassing movement and meditation\, as a means to facilitate healing and personal growth. \nJaden's six-year journey in studying the effects of trauma on the body-mind complex has equipped him with invaluable insights into the profound ways in which our experiences shape our physical and emotional selves. By integrating somatic practices into his teachings\, he empowers individuals to reconnect with their innate wisdom\, tap into their authentic selves\, and embark on a transformative path toward wholeness. \nJaden's mission centers around orienting people towards what is natural\, true\, and essential for themselves. With a deep commitment to authenticity and self-expression\, he encourages individuals to embrace their inherent strengths and embrace their own unique paths. By focusing on the integration of the body-mind he facilitates a harmonious balance that enables individuals to unlock their full potential and lead lives of fulfillment and purpose. \nIf you need more information about the event\, please contact Jaden at jadenaramsey@gmail.com or visit jadenramsey.carrd.co \nYoutube \n \nAccessibility: \nOyoun is constantly working to make access to all events offered in the building as barrier-free as possible. SUMMARY:Exhibition | Species\, Soil and Successors
DESCRIPTION:Multimedia-exhibition with artworks by Studio 33/3\, Devadeep Gupta and Julia Schuster. \nOyouns latest curatorial focus Listening to the Land launches with “Species\, Soil and Successors” by Arijit Bhattacharyya\, a curatorial project consisting of three chapters. \nIn its second segment “Soil and Successor”\, the project holds space for artistic engagement in peripheral socioecologies. Through a remote artist residency with Studio 33/3\, Swagata Bhattacharyya and Binita Limbani\, the project confronts us with another reality where climate catastrophe structures everyday life. The resulting multimedia exhibition\, which is on display at Oyoun between 15 and 26 July will present audiovisual works of some of the residency artists as well as of the artists Devadeep Gupta and Julia Schuster. Some of the video works will be screened at the launch event on 15 July as well. \nWe are surviving through an epoch of spiraling ecological devastation\, multispecies extinction and military extractivism. The notion of a collective future beyond human existence is still a far imagination. Though imagination is an essential practice. Imagination succors knowledge applicable in problem-solving and is elemental to integrating experiences in learning. How do we imagine a pluriversal multispecies future? "Species\, Soil and Successors" imagines framing a complex practice-oriented enquiry into intersectional climate justice by listening to people who are often sidelined. The project tries to imagine a world beyond the colonial touch. \nExhibition opening on 15 July 2023\, 14:00 - 21:00 h\nFrom 16 - 26 July daily between 13:00 h and 19:00 h \nFree admission! \nLanguage: English \nBiographies \nArijit Bhattacharyya \nborn in West Bengal\, is an artist and independent curator currently based in Weimar. His practice revolves around contentious narratives of resistance through social engagements\, design interventions and lecture performances.  \nThrough his artworks he deals with questions about the individual\, power and history and how these manifest in social contexts. He is deeply invested in the conversations of postcolonial resistance\, anticoloniality\, social marginalization and community disobedience. His practice stirs up prevalent structures that determine the way we live\, drawing resistance against different kinds of injustice and oppression. \nHis artistic discourse is deeply rooted in the dissecting trajectories of socio-political history and its implications in cultural practices. His practice can be perceived as a stance of speaking up to power. As a curator he is invested in artistic practices that investigate methods of social agitation and political imagination. Arijit triggers us to see what we want to close our eyes to\, while inspiring us to re-imagine structures that define who we are. \nStudio 33/3 \nis a grassroots Indian artist collective comprised of Soumik Ghosh\, Shibayan Halder\, and Suvojit Roy. They are known for their unique approach to challenging extractivism and advocating for alternative demurral positioning through artistic and cultural inquiry. The collective's work seeks to understand extractivism as a class-based practice and offers alternative perspectives on contemporary cultural tendencies. \nThey explore the rural-urban divide that exists in West Bengal. The collective recognizes this division and investigates its implications for the region. They delve into the complex dynamics and socio-economic disparities between rural and urban areas\, examining how these divisions perpetuate inequality and affect various aspects of society. \nIn their artistic practice\, Suvojit\, Soumik and Shibayan take into account the postcolonial understanding of the nation-state as an extension of colonial heritage. This perspective recognizes the enduring influence of colonialism on social\, cultural\, and economic structures within the nation. By examining the contemporary context through this lens\, the collective aims to shed light on the ongoing effects of colonialism and challenge the status quo. \nMoreover\, Studio 33/3 is particularly interested in exploring the ecological devastation occurring in the region as a class struggle. They view environmental issues not only as matters of ecological concern but also as interconnected with social and economic factors. By examining the environmental impact through the lens of class struggle\, the collective aims to highlight the unequal distribution of environmental burdens and advocate for more equitable and sustainable practices. \nSoumik Ghosh \nis a multidisciplinary visual artist hailing from Kolkata\, India. His artistic exploration centres around politics and social representation\, seeking to challenge the prevailing constructs of contemporary Bengali society. Influenced by literature\, oral history\, and films\, Ghosh's work reflects a deep engagement with various forms of storytelling and cultural narratives. \nHis practice encompasses a range of mediums\, including performances\, paintings\, photographs\, and large-scale installations. Through these artistic forms\, he interrogates societal norms and conventions\, encouraging critical reflection on the existing power structures and social hierarchies. His work is both self-referential and socially conscious\, delving into personal experiences while also addressing broader societal contradictions. \nShibayan Halder \nis a multidisciplinary artist whose upbringing has been shaped by the profound disagreement between Communist West Bengal and the wave that led to its overthrow. This conflict was not only political but also symbolic of the tension between the urban and rural spheres. Halder's artistic practice deeply resonates with this conflict\, exploring the changing sociopolitical landscape and metaphors of people and their evolving relationship with nature in the small villages of South 24 Parganas\, West Bengal. \nThrough his work\, Shibayan reflects on the shifting dynamics of power\, society\, and nature within these rural communities. He delves into the intricate interplay between these elements\, capturing the nuances and complexities of their relationships. His artistic exploration revolves around the sociopolitical scenario of the region\, considering the impacts of political transformations and urbanization on the lives of the people and beyond in these villages. His work serves as a metaphorical lens through which he examines the evolving dynamics and tensions between the urban and rural realms and their influence on local communities of human and non-human agents. \nFurthermore\, his practice underscores the profound connection between people and nature within these rural environments. Shibyan explores the intricate relationship\, often emphasizing the transformative nature of this bond. Through his artwork\, he encourages viewers to contemplate the evolving dynamics between humans and their natural surroundings\, reflecting on how these relationships shape and are shaped by larger sociopolitical forces. \nSuvojit Roy \nis a visual art practitioner based in Kolkata\, India. His artistic practice draws inspiration from his day-to-day life and the surroundings in which he lives. Growing up in a slum\, Suvojit has developed a keen interest in understanding and exploring the slum as a unique living organism. His works revolve around the circumstances of life in his immediate vicinity\, offering a nuanced perspective on the realities of his community. \nThrough his lived experiences\, Suvojit delves into the politics of building and its socio-cultural implications\, particularly concerning the city. His artwork reflects a deep engagement with the social\, economic\, and cultural aspects of slum life and access to resources. By highlighting the experiences of the economically underprivileged and ecologically marginalized\, Suvojit's works give voice to the often marginalized and overlooked perspectives within society. \nOne notable theme in Suvojit's art is the exploration of the concept of "home" within the context of economic disadvantage. His works offer a gaze into the lives of the underprivileged and attempt to narrate their experiences through the lens of "otherness" within their own country. By doing so\, Suvojit challenges societal norms and sheds light on the lived realities of those who are often stigmatized or marginalized. \nSuvojit's artistic practice also reflects his engagement with the socio-political dynamics surrounding his social condition. He sees his work as a means of negotiating space and challenging the political and cultural agendas that often deem people in his social condition as "illegal" or outside the norm. \nJulia Schuster \nis an interdisciplinary artist from Vienna\, Austria\, currently based in Bollebygd\, rural Sweden. She holds an MA in ceramics from the Royal College of Art in London and a BA in design from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano\, Italy. \nHer material-discursive practice manifests as clay and ceramic installations\, which are combined with photography\, sound\, video and written work. She investigates clay’s unique cellular memory in relation to the memory that exists in our own human bodies. By exploring how materiality\, writing and the body's inward and outward movements unite\, she creates spaces that carry a grounding and deeply contemplative quality. \nIn recent years her practice has increasingly become site-specific and is often informed by learning new skills such as her training to become a doula\, a birth companion. The intimate and hands-on care a doula provides for birthing people parallels the way she works with the material clay. At the core her artworks invite you to remember the connections between the sense of touch\, caring for the body\, and caring for the land. \nJulia has undertaken residencies in Denmark\, Nepal\, the United Kingdom\, Germany and South Korea. Selected exhibitions include the British Ceramics Biennial\, Photo Kathmandu\, Palinsesti\, the Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art and Röda Sten Konsthall. She is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics. \nWebsite \nDevadeep Gupta’s \nartistic process is an exploration of regional ecological uncertainties through a critical examination of associated mainstream perspectives. Inspired by site-specific and vernacular occurrences\, Devadeep delves into the intricate relationship between people and their land. His artistic practice encompasses the realms of film and sculpture\, bridging the gap between conceptual and documentary approaches. Within this intersection\, the artist is particularly interested in narratives that emerge from the convergence of mythology and contemporary experiences. Grounded in the rich cultural landscape of Assam\, Devadeep draws inspiration from pragmatic practices\, oral traditions\, and folklore. Central to his artistic endeavors are performative processes that pay homage to meta-cultural practices. Devadeep is an active member of Northeast Lightbox\, an artist collective dedicated to fostering exchange between regional archives and contemporary practices. \nWebsite  \nCredits \nArtistic Director: Madhumita Nandi (Oyoun) \nConcept: Madhumita Nandi\, Samirah Siddiqui\, Oyoun Team \nCuratorial Team: Nina Martin (Oyoun)\, Ihisa Adelio (Oyoun)\, Dami Choi (Oyoun) \nImplementation: Oyoun Team \nCuratorial Collective: Madhumita Nandi\, Samirah Siddiqui\, Camilla Therese Karlsen\, Zeren Oruc\, Mojisola Adebayo and Nicole Wolf\, Arijit Bhattacharyya \nDesign: Ezequiel Hyon \nSpecies\, Soil and Successors: Hillside Projects (Emily Berry Mennerdahl and Jonas Böttern)\, Devadeep Gupta\, Lea Maria Wittich\, Nilanjan Bhattacharya\, Studio 33/3 (Soumik Ghosh\, Shibayan Halder and Suvojit Roy)\, Jullia Schuster \nSpecies\, Soil and Successors is part of Oyoun’s curatorial focus Listening to the Land \nAccessibility: \nOyoun is constantly working to make access to all events offered in the building as barrier-free as possible. SUMMARY:Lecture Performance + Screening | Species\, Soil and Successors
DESCRIPTION:Lecture Performances\, Screening and discussion with contributions by Hillside Projects\, Julia Schuster\, Devadeep Gupta\, Lea Maria Wittich and Nilanjan Bhattacharya. Curated by Arijit Bhattacharyya \nOyouns curatorial focus Listening to the Land launches with Species\, Soil and Successors by Arijit Bhattacharyya\, a curatorial project consisting of three chapters. \nBased on curatorial research and a remote art residency\, the project shares its first creations at Oyoun Berlin on Saturday\, 15 July\, 2023\, between 2 pm and 9 pm. In the presence of the curator and participating artists\, the first chapter will be presented as part of a conference with lecture performances and a subsequent panel discussion. The second chapter of Species\, Soil and Successors will also be opened on 15 July 2023 with a multimedia exhibition at Oyoun. \nAfter kicking off the event with a screening by interdisciplinary artist Julia Schuster\, Hillside Projects' lecture performance Searching For the European Roller maps the life\, movement and disappearance of the bluebird – The European Roller – excavating the many layers surrounding the birds’ need for departure and the strong national desire in the context of Sweden for it to return. Devadeep Gupta’s work tackles the Baghjan Oil Blowout\, which happened on an Oil-India Limited-owned site on 27th of May 2020 in an area home to a multitude of migratory birds and animals and which has caused the displacement of more than 1600 families who were in the vicinity of the site of gas blowout. In her performance Molluscular modes\, artist Lea Maria Wittich is indulging in a political history of the snail and doing an associative research on slowness\, spirals\, slime\, snails and slugs\, whereas Nilanjan Bhatttacharya’s Of the Sun and the Moon\, the Water\, the Soil\, and the Daily is a kaleidoscopic\, live and solo reading performance intertwined with moving images and sound that reminds the audience and himself about our current disguised\, dystopian order. \nWe are surviving through an epoch of spiralling ecological devastation\, multispecies extinction and military extractivism. The notion of a collective future beyond human existence is still a far imagination. Though imagination is an essential practice. Imagination succors knowledge applicable in problem-solving and is elemental to integrating experiences in learning. How do we imagine a pluriversal multispecies future? \nSpecies\, Soil and Successors imagines framing a complex practice-oriented enquiry into intersectional climate justice by listening to people who are often sidelined. \nHillside Projects \nis Emily Berry Mennerdahl and Jonas Böttern. Situated within a conceptual framework\, their work explores tales of disappearances in the natural world and the interrelated socio-political narratives and existential emotions that arise through these tales. Hillside Projects approach their subject matter by embracing the absurd\, the comedic\, and the tragic. Hillside Projects’ works are manifested as text\, video\, painting\, sound\, and large site-specific installations. Performance lies at the core of their practice\, explored through performative walks\, lecture performances and time-based presentations. Hillside Projects tell stories. Stories of ecological collapses and failed symbiosis. Stories about birds. Colourful birds on the brink of extinction\, birds killed in aeroplane crashes\, birds that eat the dead. In their making\, the bird stories expand into larger narratives. Narratives about the cycles of life\, of being eaten and eating\, and of dust. \nWebsite  \nLea Maria Wittich \nIn her artistic work\, Lea Maria Wittich (*1994) explores questions of social and ecological justice and the coexistence of human and non-human agents. In her conceptual works\, which are informed by intensive "random research\," she uses a variety of media\, particularly clothing\, objects\, and performance\, and situates them in site-specific contexts. She studied Fashion at the Berlin University of the Arts as well as "Public Art and New Artistic Strategies" at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. \nWebseite \nJulia Schuster \nis an interdisciplinary artist from Vienna\, Austria\, currently based in Bollebygd\, rural Sweden. \nWebsite \nNilanjan Bhattacharya \nis a filmmaker\, artist and writer from Calcutta\, India. For the last fifteen years\, he has been exploring biodiversity\, food cultures and indigenous knowledge systems in India. His works include Johar Welcome To Our World\, Ninety Degrees\, Rain in The Mirror\, Fishing Out of Time\, and Quiet Flown the Stream; they were exhibited at Mumbai International Film Festival\, Goteberg International Film Festival\, European Kunsthalle\, Frankfurter Kunstverein\, Experimenter Art Gallery and Wellcome Collection Gallery. Nilanjan received the President’s Award of India in 2005 and 2010. \nCredits \nArtistic Director: Madhumita Nandi (Oyoun) \nConcept: Madhumita Nandi\, Samirah Siddiqui\, Oyoun Team \nCuratorial Team: Nina Martin (Oyoun)\, Ihisa Adelio (Oyoun)\, Dami Choi (Oyoun) \nImplementation: Oyoun Team \nCuratorial Collective: Madhumita Nandi\, Samirah Siddiqui\, Camilla Therese Karlsen\, Zeren Oruc\, Mojisola Adebayo and Nicole Wolf\, Arijit Bhattacharyya \nDesign: Ezequiel Hyon \nPhoto Credit: Devadeep Gupta \nSpecies\, Soil and Successors: Hillside Projects (Emily Berry Mennerdahl and Jonas Böttern)\, Devadeep Gupta\, Lea Maria Wittich\, Nilanjan Bhattacharya\, Studio 33/3 (Soumik Ghosh\, Shibayan Halder and Suvojit Roy)\, Swagata Bhattacharyya\, Binita Limbani\, Julia Schuster. \nSpecies\, Soil and Successors is part of Oyoun’s curatorial focus Listening to the Land. \n–––– \nAccessibility: \nOyoun is constantly working to make access to all events offered in the building as barrier-free as possible. SUMMARY:Launch + Talk | Josephine Apraku: Wie können wir Rassismus begegnen und radikale Verantwortung übernehmen? Moderiert von Angelo Camufingo
DESCRIPTION:»Wir alle haben Rassismus gelernt. SUMMARY:48h Neukölln | Queer-Comedy-Show: Ghetto Wrestling
\nÜber die Wrestler*innen (in Englisch) \nKaren Preacher  \nShe has received the call of Christ to deliver us from evil and the wrath of God. Since her third dose of the Corona vaccine\, she is sometimes possessed by a demonic soul despite her last three exorcisms. She is constantly under temptation\, but continues to praise the Lord between epileptic seizures because of her commitment and her fight against the forces of evil. \nSeñorita Toyota Corolla \nThe daughter of a legendary lineage of drag performers. Toyota Corolla is a beautiful car crash that emanates sex\, love and fear. \nDeeply rooted in Latinoamerica culture\, Senorita's main goal is to inspire Latin people into reclaiming spaces. To inspire minorities in the queer community to exist\, to dance and to love themselves. \nIt’s like a tragic and nostalgic story that will burn the house down and invite everybody to twerk over the ashes of what existed\, and hopefully\, we all create a queer and liberated new world. \nPippa Woodoobear \nShe is back. After a long time spent in the deep South\, she will be there for YOU. Pippa Woodoobear\, from the North part of Europe\, is a skjoldsmøyer. Sent by Odin in the default world\, she is a divine being.  But be careful\, her charm will smash your face on the floor\, you will taste the sweat on the ring floor... After few years in the Upside down world\, she is also known as..."Tiger Queen". Can you hear the R.O.A.R...? It's time to roar\, young lions. Right of kissing your Ass reserved.  \nMr.Mold \nRemember that vegetable drawer in your fridge? Letting it mutate for so long must have been your biggest mistake. For now you'll succumb to the mystical Vegan Powers of Mr.Mold! Seeking Vengeance by fermenting everything and everyone that is not plant-based! Special Attack: Pea-nado  \nGlowworm Man \nFrom parts unknown\nThe unwanted evil son of the lethal goddess Kali\nDo you think I shine my light for you?\nWhere do you think I get my energy from?\nI will suck you dry like the bugs in \nStarship troopers!\nI'm behind you\nI'm at your back\nMy light will stagger you\nMy bat will do the rest\nAnd I'll bury you in barbed wire\nWhen the Glowworm man becomes the spider! \nArkwardia the lost Muse \nAs such she is forgotten from history\, but still eager to violently inspire each and anyone coming her way with the help of her magic kiss \n+ \nJesus Quintana (inspired by the movie "the big Lebowski")\nDur à Queer\nDon’t tickle Kitty\nSchrädderrrr Vivie \n--- \nAccessibility \nDas Oyoun arbeitet stetig an einem möglichst barrierefreien Zugang zu allen Veranstaltungen\, die im Haus angeboten werden. DESCRIPTION:*Die Einweihung findet am Freitag\, den 23. SUMMARY:Workshop | Black Freedom Circle: Juneteenth Edition
DESCRIPTION:Juneteenth\, a commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States\, holds a profound significance not only for Black Americans but for Black people around the world. It serves as a powerful reminder of the enduring spirit of resilience\, strength\, and triumph in the face of adversity. \nWhile this holiday originated in the context of the United States\, its essence transcends borders\, making it an ideal occasion for Black individuals across the globe to unite in celebration of our shared excellence and to collectively confront the ongoing impact of colonialism and enslavement. \nThis circle will go beyond the festivities and historical reflection to provide a unique opportunity for us to engage in a transformative journey of self-discovery and community building. \nBy employing relational practices\, somatics\, and group work\, we can create a space that fosters a deeper connection with ourselves and our fellow community members. In doing so\, we tap into the inherent power within us—the "Body of Culture"—and cultivate a sense of belonging\, identity\, and purpose. \nThrough these practices\, we can regulate our individual and collective nervous systems\, healing the wounds inflicted by a history of oppression and discrimination. By acknowledging and processing the enduring impacts of colonialism and enslavement\, we pave the way for a future where our rights to simply exist\, to belong to a community\, and to continuously grow and evolve become effortlessly manifested. \nThe gathering on Juneteenth becomes an embodiment of our collective resilience and a testament to the strength of our shared bonds. This is a sacred space where we can express our joy\, pride\, and freedom\, while also acknowledging the ongoing struggles we face. By coming together\, our voices can be heard\, we magnify our impact and forge a path toward liberation and justice. \nTicket: 20 / 15 / 10 Euro  \nRegistration here \nLanguage: English \nAbout the facilitator \nJaden is a biracial\, black-bodied\, man from the USA. With a comprehensive understanding of the interconnectedness of the mind\, body\, and spirit\, Jaden is a passionate advocate for leveraging somatics\, encompassing movement and meditation\, as a means to facilitate healing and personal growth. \nJaden's journey in studying the effects of trauma on the body-mind complex has equipped him with invaluable insights into the profound ways in which our experiences shape our physical and emotional selves. \nIf you need more information about the event\, please contact Jaden at jadenaramsey@gmail.com \n*This event is for people who identify as BIPOC\, Bodies of Culture. \nAccessibility: \nOyoun is constantly working to make access to all events offered in the building as barrier-free as possible.
