DESCRIPTION:Dancer and choregrapher Llewellyn Mnguni hails from the small town of Mafikeng in the North West Province of South Africa. As an artist*\, Llewellyn Mnguni grew up in many different artistic and educational settings in South Africa\, which led Llewellyn to appreciate the many different dance styles and disciplines\, especially in the many cultures within South Africa where dance is an integral part of rites of passage. In this Jazz dance class Llewellyn will focus on strength\, flexibility and freedom of movement\, while also working on body confidence and a well rounded movement experience. \nTicket: 12 Euro (Ticketbutton at the bottom of this page) \nRegistration also possible via: llewellyntebz@yahoo.com \nLanguage: English \nBiography \nDancer and choreographer Llewellyn Mnguni began training at the the age of 14 at the Mmabana Mmabatho Arts Council as a Latin American and Ballroom dance student and continued to compete on a professional level from 1999-2002. In 2003 he aoended the National School of the Arts and thereaper obtained a Dance Teachers Diploma at the University of Cape Town School of Dance School in the year 2010. Mnguni also joined the Mmabana Dance Company as a full time dance teacher and choreographer from 2007-2009. While completing his final year in high school (Grade 12) he performed and choreographed for the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown in 2006 for his work ‘Prozac’ and then the GIPCA Live Arts Festival under the directorship of Jay Pather in 2012. In 2010 he joined the Bovim Ballet company under the directorship of Sean Bovim. Mnguni has performed with the likes of Celeste Botha and Marlin Zoutman during his time as a company member of New World Dance Theatre. He has collaborated with well acclaimed artists such as Ahmed Umar for “Tribute to Ali” an exhibition at the Format gallery in Oslo. He has performed the challenging roles of Odile in Swan Lake\, Escamilio in Carmen and Myrtha in Giselle for Dada Masilo's extensive Asian\,European\, Canadian and US during 2013-2017\, Mnguni also collaborated with visual artist/LGBTI activist Zanele Muholi and Lerato Dumse for a series of exhibitions and site specific shows during the 2016 Oslo gay pride week and the Faces and Phases Paris Exhibition in 2023. Mnguni has been nominated for a UK National Dance award for Most Outstanding Modern Male dancer. He won a Standard Bank Ovation award for his dance film “Resilience” and recreated it into his first self curated and directed Live Art Exhibition at the reputable Kalashnikov gallery in Johannesburg. His dance\nteaching experience spans from teaching at dance companies\, primary and high schools as well as workshops around South Africa and Europe. DESCRIPTION:Solo Show of Yukiko Nagakura \nThe solo show “Blood runs in our bodies"; consists of four movies: 1) “I have a long journey before me.” (2016) on the women in Fukushima and their struggles in the aftermath of the Fukushima disaster in 2011. 2) “The Mother” (2022) about motherhood and maternity from the autobiographical point of view\, 3) “Track the trace - Bauhausler Tamae Ohno-” (2023) on a Japanese woman who studied at the Bauhaus Berlin that was forced to close due to the political pressure by the Nazis\, and 4) “Ms. Yamada” (2023)\, telling a story of Waka Yamada\, who was a survivor of sexual slavery in the U.S. and became a maternalist feminist in Japan. With these movies as the foundation\, new drawings of Yukiko Nagakura will be presented in the space as well. DESCRIPTION:Das Team um den South Asian Hangout lädt alle Menschen der südasiatischen Community zu einem zwanglosen Treffen ein. Vordergründig gestaltet es dafür einen offenen Raum mit niedrigschwelligen Angeboten\, die die Diaspora kulturell bereichern und empowern. Gerahmt wird die Veranstaltung von diversen Kulturangebot wie Kunst\, Theater\, Musik\, Spoken Word etc.. \nDie herausfordernden Elemente dieser Art Veranstaltungen – wenn die Organisator*innen sie mit ihren Eltern besucht haben – sollen hier wegfallen\, Erinnerungen an Zwänge und Normen sollen überschrieben werden\, damit die Community in Erinnerungen schwelgen kann\, über die sie die Kontrolle hat. Der South Asian Hangout wird zu einem bestärkenden Wohlfühlort\, der einen festen Platz in der Berliner Kulturlandschaft bekommt. \nZielgruppe: \nDas Angebot des South-Asian Hangouts richtet sich an alle Menschen\, die sich der südasiatischen Community zugehörig fühlen & Friends. Das Angebot wird primär von und für südasiatische Migrant*innen zweiter Generation gestaltet. Damit der Raum ein safer space bleibt\, gibt es klare Regeln\, damit sich alle Teilnehmenden gesehen\, gehört und wohlfühlen. \nWarum der Hangout wichtig ist? \nIn der deutschen Kulturlandschaft fehlt gerade ein Wohlfühlort\, an dem Menschen mit südasiatischen Hintergrund zusammenkommen und sich zwanglos unterhalten und vernetzen können. DESCRIPTION:“Art is a refuge for the marginalized\, a sacred space where queer people\ncan reclaim their narratives and redefine their place in the world.” - Ocean Vuong \nGermany stands out as one of the most progressive countries when it comes to LGBTQIAP+ rights. Because of this\, a large number of queer people migrate to Germany\, seeking a better life and opportunity. However\, it could be challenging to live in a new country after leaving one’s country of origin.   \nWould life be automatically better and easier for a queer immigrant in Germany? This might depend on person to person\, as everyone has their own experience. Along with queerness\, queer immigrants carry other multiple- identities with them – diverse cultures\, races\, languages\, lived experiences\, and beyond.  \nCCP fellows\, Shuhrat Saidov from Tajikistan and Dipesh Khanal from Nepal are doing a project through which they aim to give space to and highlight the intersectional stories and experiences of immigrant queer individuals. They invite queer immigrants from around the world living in Germany to participate in a personal discussion and engage with a diverse group of people who share similar or unique experiences. The project aims to offer a safer space where people can share their vulnerabilities\, joys\, and bonds of solidarity. DESCRIPTION:Diese Veranstaltung richtet sich ausschließlich an Muslim*innen und muslimisch gelesene Menschen \nSolidarisch\, produktiv und partizipativ – so lautet die Beschreibung des Projekts „Muslimisch gelesene Vielfalt im Gespräch“. Zur Realisierung des Konzepts lädt die Working Group Muslim*innen und muslimisch gelesene Menschen zu der Veranstaltung ‚Anti-patriarchale und geschlechterinklusive Communities‘ ein. Die Teilnehmenden haben sich in den letzten Jahren in vielen Begegnungen ebenso fundiert und umfassend mit den Fragen um anti-patriarchale und geschlechterinklusive Strukturen beschäftigt und dies aus der Perspektive von Menschen\, die in muslimischen und in als muslimisch gelesenen Communities verwoben sind. Das Projekt zielt darauf ab\, unterschiedliche muslimische bzw. muslimisch gelesene Menschen in einem neuartigen Debatten- und Beteiligungsformat zusammenbringen\, um einen solidarischen Austausch und produktiven Umgang mit Fremdzuschreibungen zu fördern. \nDas Projekt ist auf 5 Jahre angelegt.In der ersten Phase diskutierten die Teilnehmenden eigens gewählte Themen und erarbeiteten in der zweiten Phase gemeinsame Forderungen oder Botschaften in Arbeitsgruppen. In der dritten Phase geht es um den Transfer dieser gemeinsam entwickelten Botschaften in Richtung der sog. Mehrheitsgesellschaft. Dazu wird ein Gespräch mit wirkmächtigen AkteurInnen aus Politik und Medien organisiert mit der Absicht\, so die negativen Gesellschaftsbilder durch Begegnung nachhaltig verändern zu können. \nDas Projekt wird gefördert durch das Bundesministerium für Familie\, Senioren\, Frauen und Jugend im Rahmen des Bundesprogramms ‘Demokratie Leben!’. Eine Reise\, die in Beton und die Ruinen der Industrialisierung führt. Das bedeutet\, bei dieser Aufführung wird für eine entspannte und lockere Atmosphäre gesorgt. Es wird verschiedene Sitz- und Stehmöglichkeiten geben. Wir werden den Raum nicht komplett füllen. Ihr könnt euch nach euren Bedürfnissen frei bewegen\, gehen und wiederkommen. Die Türen werden eine Stunde vor Beginn der Veranstaltung (20:00 h) geöffnet\, damit ihr Zeit habt\, den Raum kennenzulernen und euch einen bevorzugten Platz auszusuchen. \nBitte beachtet\, dass zeitgleich mehrere Veranstaltungen im Haus stattfinden. Auf den Toiletten und den Gängen im Garten\, Souterrain und Café kann es dazu kommen\, dass viele Personen gleichzeitig die Räumlichkeiten nutzen. Am Tag der Veranstaltung könnt ihr euch ab 15:00 Uhr bei ihnen melden. \nSitzgelegenheiten \nZusätzlich zu den Stehplätzen werden vor der Bühne ausreichend Sitzplätze zur Verfügung stehen. Ihr könnt euch auf Sitzsäcken in verschiedenen Größen und Dichten als auch auf Stühlen niederlassen.  \nRuheraum \nWährend der Relaxed Performance ist ein Ruheraum direkt neben dem Club für euch bereitgestellt. Hier könnt ihr auf dem Sofa und den Sitzkissen entspannen. Das dort instalierte gedämpfte Licht soll dabei die Sinne beruhigen. Der Eingang zum Ruheraum ist 95 cm breit. \nSensorische Reize \nScharfer und lauter Lärm\, sich schnell bewegende Lichter\, Projektionen\, Nebel. \nTrigger Warnung \nExpliziter Inhalt/emotionale Gewalt/Co-Abhängigkeit/expliziter sexueller Inhalt/Drogenmissbrauch \nNäher an der Veranstaltung werden wir detailliertere Trigger-Informationen veröffentlichen. Generell kann schon jetzt gesagt werden\, dass die Veranstaltung eine sehr immersive Sinneserfahrung sein wird. Es wird schnelles Licht\, schnell wechselnde Projektionen und laute Musik geben. \nZugänglichkeit des Veranstaltungsortes \nAnfahrt/Abfahrt \nDie nächste Ubahn Station ist U Hermannplatz (U7/U8). Sie ist 500m vom Oyoun entfernt und verfügt über mehrere Rolltreppen (Eingang Hermannplatz). Aufgrund der anhaltenden Sanierungsarbeiten in der Bahnhofshalle sind die Aufzüge derzeit nicht benutzbar. Menschen\, die auf einen barrierefreien Zugang zur U7 und U8 angewiesen sind\, können einen Muva-Kleinbus anfordern\, der sie zum nächsten Bahnhof mit funktionierendem Aufzug bringt. Über die App der BVG oder telefonisch (Tel. 25 65 55 55) wird nach Buchung eine Wegleitung zum Ankunftsort des Transportmittels angeboten. Ein gültiger Fahrschein wird dafür vorausgesetzt. \nFür die Anreise mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln findet ihr alle Informationen zu Barrierefreiheit auf der Seite der VBB. (Link: https://www.vbb.de/vbb-services/barrierefreiheit/) \nParken \nEs ist ein Parkplatz mit fünf Stellplätzen direkt vor dem Haupteingang des Hauses. Auf Anfrage über E-Mail (access(at)oyoun.de) oder Telefon (+49 30 6805 0426) kann ein Platz reserviert oder ggf. freigemacht werden. \nZugang zum Haus und Club vom Gartentor \nEs gibt eine Rampe mit einer Steigung von 5\,44%\, die vom Garten aus ins Café im Erdgeschoss führt. Die Rampe ist über den Eingang durch das Gartentor an der Hinterseite des Oyoun (von der Lucy-Lameck-Straße aus) zu erreichen. Die Entfernung vom Tor bis zum Eingang beträgt ungefähr 12\,0 Meter. Für den Zugang zur Rampe muss eine ca. 2cm hohe Unebenheit überquert werden. Um zum Fahrstuhl zu gelangen\, ist der Gastraum des Cafés zu durchqueren. Der Weg zum Aufzug führt aus dem Café Raum rechts an der Bar vorbei. Die Strecke vom Eingangstor bis zum Fahrstuhl beträgt 35 Meter. Der Club im Souterrain ist über den Fahrstuhl zugänglich. Der Fahrstuhl hat die Maße: 1\,07m Breite\, 2\,09m Länge und 2\,09m Höhe. Im Fahrstuhl Inneren drückt die Taste mit der Kennzeichnung "-1"\, um zum Club zu gelangen. Sobald ihr im Souterrain seid\, findet ihr den Clubeingang direkt gegenüber der Aufzugstür\, in einer Entfernung von 8\,5 Metern. \nZugang zum Haus und Club vom Haupteingang/Parkplätze \nDer Club im Souterrain ist über den Fahrstuhl zugänglich. Der Fahrstuhl (mit Maßen von 1\,07m Breite\, 2\,09m Länge und 2\,09m Höhe) befindet sich in einer Entfernung von 6\,30 Metern von der nächsten Parkmöglichkeit. Der Weg von der Parkmöglichkeit zum Fahrstuhl führt über unebenes Kopfsteinpflaster. \nUm den Fahrstuhl vom Hof aus zu benutzen\, bitten wir euch\, die Klingel am Haupteingang zu betätigen. Unser Hauspersonal wird euch dann von innen die Aufzugstür öffnen. Im Fahrstuhl angekommen\, könnt ihr die Taste mit dem Hinweis "-1" drücken\, um in das untere Stockwerk zu gelangen. Nach der Ankunft im Souterrain findet ihr den Clubeingang direkt gegenüber der Aufzugstür\, nur 8\,5 Meter entfernt. \nBarrierefreie Toilette \nIm ersten Obergeschoss befindet sich ein barrierefreies WC mit den Maßen 2\,10 x 2\,10 m. Dieses ist über dem Fahrstuhl zugänglich (siehe die Beschreibung vom Eingang/ Club zum Fahrstuhl oben). Der Toiletteneingang ist 108 cm breit und t 5\,10 m geradeaus vom Fahrstuhl entfernt. \nTaktiles Leitsystem und taktiler Grundrissplan  \nIm Souterrain\, am Eingang zum Club\, der zur Garten-Seite hin ausgerichtet ist\, ist ein taktiler Grundriss angebracht. Zusätzlich wird für diese Veranstaltung ein taktiles Leitsystem eingerichtet\, das euch vom Gebäudeeingang in den Club führt. Nähere Infos dazu in Kürze.  \nTüren im Haus \nDie Eingangstür und die Tür zum Treppenhaus bzw. Aufzug im rechten Flügel des Hauses sind mit einem elektronischen Öffner ausgestattet. Für jeweils eine Woche halten wir an verschiedenen Kulturorten und -institutionen und interagieren mit dem umliegenden urbanen Raum\, der Nachbarschaft und den örtlichen Partner*innen. \nIm Rahmen des ufaFabrik Boulevard 23 – Straßenkunst- und Umweltfestival steht das Tiny House  in der ersten Tourwoche im Herzen der ufaFabrik vor dem Nachbarschaftszentrum (Viktoriastraße 10-18\, 12105 Berlin). \nEuch erwartet ein umfangreiches Programm mit wiederkehrenden Workshops zu den Themen Podcasting mit Hamam Talk\, Mixtaping mit Maurice Leoni-Osion und Fotografie mit Queer Analog Darkroom\, sowie Pop-up Ausstellungen und Performances: \n--- \nMo 28.8.\, 15:00-17:30 h\n⇒ Workshop | “The Home ReMixtape Artchives” \nw/ Maurice Leoni-Osion \nFür viele von uns ist Zuhause der Ort\, an dem wir geboren wurden\, leben\, genealogisch verwurzelt sind oder ein Gefühl der Zugehörigkeit aufbauen. Diese Definition von Zuhause wird jedoch nicht immer von einer breiteren Bevölkerung geteilt\, insbesondere nicht von marginalisierten Gemeinschaften\, die wie alle anderen für angeborene Geburtsrechte akzeptiert werden sollten\, um eine innere Struktur / Schutz zu bieten\, um Kulturen\, Sprachen\, geliebte Menschen\, Geschichten\, Träume\, Erinnerungen und Zukunft zu bewahren. \nDie Home ReMixtape Artchives sind eine Serie von Kunstworkshops\, die die Erstellung von Home-Mixtapes als archivarischen Ansatz nutzen\, um unerzählte Geschichten rund um die Erfahrung des Zuhauses zu dokumentieren\, zu schützen und zu bewahren. Die Teilnehmer*innen werden Mixed-Media\, Graff Writing\, Illustrationen\, Zeitlinien\, gefundene Klänge\, Interviews\, Audioaufnahmen\, Lieder und Musikproduktion erkunden\, um gemeinsam an einem Community-Mixtape zu arbeiten. Das Ziel besteht darin\, einen kreativen Raum für verschiedene Stimmen zu schaffen\, um ihre einzigartigen Geschichten zu erzählen\, während sie einen kohärenten Rhythmus untereinander finden\, der zukünftige Erzählungen aus ihren Nachbarschaften feiert. \nDie Workshops werden in einer interaktiven Ausstellung vom 16. bis 30. Was sehen wir? Wie können wir den Blick erwidern? Wer erschafft das\, was unseren Blick trifft? Dieser Workshop wird sich auf die paradoxale Natur der Bildgestaltung aus Schwarzer Perspektive konzentrieren\, während er im kollektiven soziohistorischen Kontext der gewaltsamen Formung des Schwarzen Subjekts/Objekts existiert. Dies ist ein Raum\, um gemeinsam Schwarze Visualität und verkörperte Darstellung zu betrachten\, zu diskutieren\, zu lesen und darüber zu schreiben. Es wird auch einen zusätzlichen Fokus auf die persönliche Arbeit der Teilnehmer*innen geben\, während das "Rückblicken" und die Selbstbeschreibung geübt werden\, da die Notwendigkeit dieser Fähigkeiten zur Sicherung von Ressourcen und Finanzierung für künstlerische Erfindungen betrachtet wird. Das Projekt befasst sich mit den tief verwurzelten Ursprüngen dieser Herausforderungen und untersucht ihre Verbindungen zum historischen Kolonialismus\, den sozioökonomischen Klassenunterschieden und dem ausbeuterischen Charakter des kapitalistischen Wirtschaftsmodells. Durch einen umfassenden forschungsbasierten Ansatz will das Projekt Einblicke in zentrale Fragen zu alternativen Systemen\, den weitreichenden Folgen des Klimawandels und dem Konzept der Klimagerechtigkeit im globalen Süden geben. However\, this definition of the home is not always shared by a broader population\, specifically marginalized communities\, who\, like everyone\, should be accepted for instinctual birthrights to provide an inner structure/shelter to protect cultures\, languages\, loved ones\, stories\, dreams\, memories\, and futures. \nThe Home ReMixtape Artchives is a series of art workshops utilizing the creation of home mixtapes as an archival approach to document\, protect and preserve untold stories centered around the home experience. Participants will explore mixed media; graff writing\, illustrations\, timelines\, found sounds\, interviews\, audio recordings\, songs\, and music production to collaborate on a community mixtape. The goal is to provide a creative space for various voices to tell their younique stories while finding a cohesive rhythm amongst each other that celebrates future narratives from their neighborhoods. \nThe workshops will culminate as an interactive exhibition at Oyoun on 16 - 30 November 2023\, where the public will have access to the 5-volume mixtape cassettes series\, each representing a community archive from five districts throughout Berlin. \nTickets: Free admission! Then please get in touch with us via kommunikation@oyoun.de and we will try to accommodate your needs as good as we can. \nBiography \nMaurice Leoni-Osion  \nMaurice is a multidisciplinary artist and director from Richmond\, VA.\, currently residing in Berlin\, Germany utilizing the culture of HipHop to produce poetry\, music\, photography\, films\, art programs\, exhibitions\, and cultural experiences to celebrate stories to preserve the stories of our youths\, communities\, and ancestors. \nSince he can remember\, Hip-Hop has always been like an extended relative in his family\, which has played a significant role in defining who he is. Under her supervision and care\, Maurice dug through the crates of his grandma's record collection\, was reprimanded for tagging (writing) names in Crayola on walls\, watched other family members perform acrobatic dance moves at cook-outs\, listened to Muhammad Ali kick rhymes predicting his knockouts\, and resampled his aunts and uncles' fashion aesthetics. As a result\, Maurice was consistently provided with an openness to be creative and courageous in discovering self-identity and expression. The core team consists of eight people\, all of whom bring a wide range of different skills and knowledge related to photography. In addition to their queerness\, it is the different identities and experiences of marginalization that connect the members of the collective and that shape their work and perspectives on photography. Linda arbeitet aktuell als Community Managerin beim ZDF und Moderatorin für das Format TLNT.TALK.BERLIN bei TLNT&TLNT e.V. \nSarah Farhatiar \nSarah Farhatiar ist in Freiburg im Breisgau geboren und wuchs dort auf. Sie absolvierte ihr Studium der Islamwissenschaften mit dem Schwerpunkt Zentral- und Südasien sowie Soziologie an der Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. Darüber hinaus erwarb sie einen Master in Global Studies an der Universität Basel. Während ihres Studiums konzentrierte sie sich insbesondere auf feministische Friedens- und Konfliktforschung sowie Migration. \nIm Sommer 2020 gründete Sarah gemeinsam mit ihrer Freundin Linda den Podcast "Hamam Talk"\, in dem sie über eine Vielzahl von Themen spricht\, darunter Rassismus\, Politik\, Kultur\, Gesellschaft\, Identität und Sexualität. SUMMARY:Sea Behind the Wall | Workshop | Agri/Cultural Practice for Climate Justice
DESCRIPTION:A workshop with Mojisola Adebayo and Nicole Wolf\nAre you interested in addressing racism and climate injustice? Would you like to explore how art and agroecology can work together? Are you Black\, of African or Asian descent\, an Indigenous person or Person of Colour\, from a migration background or a white person committed to anti-racism? \n If so – read on! \nWhat is the workshop about?\nAgri/cultural practices for climate justice is an experimental workshop that provides an embodied introduction to agroecology principles and sustainable landscape design through games and exercises from Theatre of the Oppressed. The workshop\, which takes place as part of the outdoor programme “Sea Behind the Wall”\, aims to rehearse solutions for change and explores diverse artistic practices\, including creative writing\, in a playful and accessible way. \nBoth Agroecology (also referred to as permaculture) and Theatre of the Oppressed are informed by Indigenous and Black knowledge and experiences. This workshop is based on this acknowledgment and focuses on anti-racism\, climate justice\, decolonizing practices\, addressing power structures\, understanding the link between colonialism\, plantation agriculture and environmental chaos. Participants will explore the potential of theatre and artistic practices to challenge environmental racism. The main sites of the workshop are the garden of Oyoun and of Spore Initiative\, with the possibility of reflecting on sites and spaces that are important to you.  \nWhat will we be doing?\nParticipants will engage in theatre games\, observing\, reading\, creative writing\, designing\, film screenings\, sharing the skill set and experiences of the group\, discussing\, experimenting with sustainable design techniques individually and in groups and doing practical exercises in the garden\, specifically during the 2nd part of the workshop on 30 September.  \nWho is the workshop for?\nThe majority of workshop places will be offered to people who are Black\, of African or Asian descent\, Indigenous and People of Colour. No specific professional or knowledge background is required but an interest in and commitment to the work of climate justice and anti-racism. Part of the work will be in smaller groups and break out groups can be facilitated. \nChildcare: Please let us know if you require childcare and we will try to support this. \nBiographies \nMojisola Adebayo \nMojisola Adebayo is a Black British performer\, playwright\, director\, producer\, workshop leader and teacher of Nigerian (Yoruba) and Danish descent. \nTrained in Theatre of the Oppressed and Physical Theatre\, Mojisola has worked internationally in theater\, television and radio for over twenty-five years\, from Antarctica to Zimbabwe. Since 1998\, Mojisola has taught in academia\, primarily at Goldsmiths\, University of London\, Department of Theatre and Performance. During her fellowship at the University of Potsdam between 2020 and 2022\, she conducted research on "White Climate: African Theatre Literatures and Agrarian/Cultural Practices." \nHer latest piece\, Family Tree\, is a play\, a performance\, a ritual about human agriculture\, human farming\, earth and the soul\, seeds and cells. The play is inspired by the life of Henrietta Lacks and explores the relationship between extraction from Black women's bodies\, extractive capitalism\, environmental racism\, and climate justice. \nWebsite \nNicole Wolf \nNicole Wolf (she/her) is a researcher\, writer and Senior Lecturer in Visual Cultures (Goldsmiths\, University of London)\, living in Berlin and London\, and is white and queer. Her background is in the study of political cinema in terms of its ability to resist what is seen as real and imagine something different. Much of her research and thinking is inspired and informed by artistic and activist practices in South Asia\, including military occupied Kashmir. Nicole began training in permaculture in 2014\, followed by two PC teacher trainings\, including Rosemary Morrow's course in Srinagar\, Kashmir. Since then\, she has passionately combined her interest in critical ecologies\, anti-colonial environmentalism\, and creative practice to explore agri-cultural practices as resistance and what a kinematics of the soil might be. \nCollective and collaborative processes of learning and making\, drawing on diverse bodies of knowledge\, are crucial to all these questions. Nicole's participation in "Living Archive - Archivarbeit als zeitgenössische künstlerische Praxis" and "Archive außer sich" (both projects of Arsenal - Institut für Film und Videokunst\, Berlin) included research and writing for the restoration of film works by Yugantar\, the first feminist film collective in India (see yugantar. Film\, produced in collaboration with Deepa Dhanraj) as well as the development of "Soil - City - Solidarity\," an interdisciplinary certificate course in urban permaculture\, and the symposium "'Tell me what mattered was the ground' - Repair beyond redemption." Together with Mojisola Adebayo\, Nicole has developed "Agri-cultural practices" as an experimental workshop method focusing on anti-racism\, art and environment (since 2019). However\, this definition of the home is not always shared by a broader population\, specifically marginalized communities\, who\, like everyone\, should be accepted for instinctual birthrights to provide an inner structure/shelter to protect cultures\, languages\, loved ones\, stories\, dreams\, memories\, and futures. \nThe Home ReMixtape Artchives is a series of art workshops utilizing the creation of home mixtapes as an archival approach to document\, protect and preserve untold stories centered around the home experience. Participants will explore mixed media; graff writing\, illustrations\, timelines\, found sounds\, interviews\, audio recordings\, songs\, and music production to collaborate on a community mixtape. Under her supervision and care\, Maurice dug through the crates of his grandma's record collection\, was reprimanded for tagging (writing) names in Crayola on walls\, watched other family members perform acrobatic dance moves at cook-outs\, listened to Muhammad Ali kick rhymes predicting his knockouts\, and resampled his aunts and uncles' fashion aesthetics. As a result\, Maurice was consistently provided with an openness to be creative and courageous in discovering self-identity and expression. There will be the opportunity to be introduced  to the chemical processes of developing a b/w film which allows a focus on elements like light\, shadow\, texture\, and composition. Each participant gets the opportunity to shoot and develop their own film. In addition to their queerness\, it is the different identities and experiences of marginalization that connect the members of the collective and that shape their work and perspectives on photography. As part of the 'Urbane Praxis' project funding\, the Queer Analog Darkroom collective\, founded in 2022\, wants to help shape urban public space in cooperation with Oyoun. Rooms are not accessible to everyone in the same way. The goal of the QAD collective is to create spaces for a community around analogue film development and film technology through self-organized and non-commercial work. Sie studierte Islamwissenschaften\, Nahoststudien und Kommunikationswissenschaften an der Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg sowie an der FAU in Erlangen. Ihre Schwerpunkte lagen vor allem auf islamischem Recht\, Islamismus und Sexualität im Islam. \nIm Sommer 2020 gründete sie gemeinsam mit ihrer Freundin Sarah den Podcast „Hamam Talk“ in dem sie über Rassismus\, Politik\, Kultur\, Gesellschaft\, Identität und Sexualität spricht. Alles Themen\, die sie aufgrund ihrer eigenen syrischen Wurzeln schon lange begleitet haben. \nNeben ihrer Aufklärungsarbeit gibt sie auch Anti-Rassismus- und Podcast-Workshops. Linda arbeitet aktuell als Community Managerin beim ZDF und Moderatorin für das Format TLNT.TALK.BERLIN bei TLNT&TLNT e.V. \nSarah Farhatiar \nSarah Farhatiar ist in Freiburg im Breisgau geboren und wuchs dort auf. Sie absolvierte ihr Studium der Islamwissenschaften mit dem Schwerpunkt Zentral- und Südasien sowie Soziologie an der Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. Darüber hinaus erwarb sie einen Master in Global Studies an der Universität Basel. Während ihres Studiums konzentrierte sie sich insbesondere auf feministische Friedens- und Konfliktforschung sowie Migration. \nIm Sommer 2020 gründete Sarah gemeinsam mit ihrer Freundin Linda den Podcast "Hamam Talk"\, in dem sie über eine Vielzahl von Themen spricht\, darunter Rassismus\, Politik\, Kultur\, Gesellschaft\, Identität und Sexualität. SUMMARY:Sea Behind the Wall | Workshop | Harvesting Resilience: Foraging and Guerilla Gardening
DESCRIPTION:Harvesting Resilience – a workshop series by Zeren Oruc \nThis workshop series gives you the opportunity to rethink your relationship with nature\, food and consumption. You will be able to connect with different people in an exchange of skill\, knowledge and thoughts.  \nWhat is this workshop about? \nHarvesting Resilience workshops series are part of a long-term research project focusing on the food-land-culture relationship to examine the impact of our food production and consumption habits on the environment\, land degradation\, and forms of exploitation. Curated by Zeren Oruc\, the project looks at how we eat our land\, our cultural and emotional connection to food based on where it’s grown\, and less extractivist practices such as disappearing knowledge of foraging\, food banks\, gardens\, and more. \nBy using foraging and guerilla gardening in “community gardens” as one of the artistic and curatorial methodologies\, the workshops intend to decolonize and reclaim urban landscapes and ecological narratives from the lens of BIPOC and people with migration backgrounds. While tackling mainstream Western environmentalism that dismisses indigenous and migrant knowledge\, we want to relearn and share our knowledge in relation to the plant world and form new connections where we feel safe in nature. To facilitate the generation of this intergenerational and intercultural knowledge\, we invite participants to join us\, along with their elders*\, in remapping Berlin’s foraging paths and sharing their experiences. \nThe workshops will be guided by curator Zeren Oruc\, who is revisiting her place in gardening and foraging after relocating to Berlin\, and horticulturist\, forager\, herbalist\, and kochende Gärtnerin Lea Nassim Tajbakhsh. On the first day of the workshop\, we will go on a guided foraging tour where we get to know each other and share our knowledge. On the second day\, we will meet at Oyoun’s community garden for an intimate discussion about food\, and belonging in nature\, and revisit the idea of community gardens through guerilla gardening principles. Please come prepared for any type of weather conditions with warm/water-resistant shoes and raincoats. \nBiographies \nZeren Oruc \nZeren Oruc is an independent curator who engages with and explores contemporary issues of ecology\, society and sustainability through interdisciplinary artistic projects. \nHer practice revolves around decentralised and non-hierarchical approaches based on long-term collaborations\, with the intention of creating an environment that fosters open conversations and care. She has curated exhibitions and projects that illuminate the complexities of contemporary environmental awareness and rural ecology. \nZeren is co-founder of the Montemero Art Residency in Almeria\, Spain\, which focuses on alternative art production and land-based practices. El Cerrejón is the largest open-pit coal mine in South America\, located in Colombia\, where all the coal for Germany is exploited. Unfortunately\, the extraction of this raw material has not only severely decimated the local people displacing them from their land and their human rights\, but also displacing entire rivers and polluted water sources in one of the most arid areas of the country. What is the actual price of Germany's industrial progress? \nDreaming of Water is a small interactive sound installation of coal stones connected to a Midi sound system. As the artist and the audience interact with the rocks\, different water sounds will resonate to create a soundscape referring to the rivers and natural resources now destroyed by coal mining. In 2013 she won a DAAD-ISAP exchange scholarship and studied Arts & New Media at the Kunsthochschule für Medien-köln. Alejandra moved to Germany in 2017 to continue her studies in scenography and exhibition design at TU Berlin\, where she obtained an M.A. degree. She was a scholarship holder of Sentasverwaltung für Kultur und Europa between 2020/22 and has collaborated with other artists and musicians in many art festivals and independent projects around Germany. \nHer artwork focuses on the design of physical and virtual places using different media. How is the space built? With this question emerged her interest in developing immersive narratives and stimulating constructive criticism. The scenographic element is significant in her work because it allows her to integrate all media: Video\, sound\, color\, light\, and various objects. DESCRIPTION:*Bitte beachtet\, dass die Veranstaltung nicht im Oyoun\, sondern in Sarajevo stattfindet.* \nPaneldiskussion als Teil des AJB Doc Festivals \nGemeinsam mit Esther Mujawayo-Keiner\, Shahnura Kasim und Nihad Kreševljaković erforschen wir die Verbindungen zwischen Kunst\, Film und Erinnerungskultur. \nIn der Paneldiskussion "Our Histories in Conversation - Rwandan\, Bosnian and Uyghur Perspectives on the Role of Film and Art in Remembering Genocide" kommen Filmschaffende\, Künstler*innen und Aktivist*innen aus der bosnischen\, tutsischen und uigurischen Community zusammen\, um ihre persönlichen Erfahrungen und Einblicke zu teilen. Während des Genozids an den Tutsi in Ruanda wurden ihr Mann\, ihre Eltern und ein Großteil ihrer Familie ermordet. Gemeinsam mit anderen Witwen gründete sie die bedeutende Selbsthilfegruppe AVEGA (Association of Widows of the April Genocide). Nach ihrer Ausbildung zur Traumatherapeutin an der University of East Anglia arbeitete sie in dieser Rolle für die Organisation. Zudem ist sie Autorin mehrerer Bücher und produzierte die Fernsehdokumentation "Hope in Hell" für BBC über Frauen\, die während des Genozid absichtlich vergewaltigt und mit HIV infiziert wurden. Esther Mujawayo-Keiner erhielt zwei Preise für ihre Bücher\, das Bundesverdienstkreuz des deutschen Bundespräsidenten (Oktober 2008)\, den Women Social Award in Wien (November 2008) und den UN Watch Award. \nShahnura Kasim \nShahnura Kasim ist uigurische Content Creatorin\, Sprecherin und Aktivistin aus München\, Deutschland. Ihre Eltern flohen vor ihrer Geburt vor der Verfolgung durch China. Derzeit werden jedoch ihr Onkel\, ihre Tante und ihre Großmutter in den berüchtigten Lagern festgehalten. Mit ihrer engagierten Arbeit versucht sie\, das Bewusstsein für den Genozid an den Uiguren zu schärfen\, und hat bereits Hunderttausende von Menschen mit ihrer Botschaft erreicht. \nNihad Kreševljaković \nNihad Kreševljaković\, geboren in Sarajevo\, Bosnien\, ist ein Historiker\, Produzent\, Drehbuchautor und Regisseur. Er ist Direktor des Internationalen Theaterfestivals MESS und des Sarajevo War Theatre. Im Jahr 2011 gründete er zusammen mit seinem Bruder Sead die Dokumentarfilmproduktionsfirma Videoarhiv und arbeitete als Drehbuchautor an zahlreichen Filmprojekten. Im Jahr 2019 wurde Kreševljaković mit dem KAIROS-Preis ausgezeichnet. \nMelina Borčak \nMelina Borčak ist Journalistin\, Filmemacherin und Autorin aus Sarajevo\, Bosnien. Sie arbeitete u.a. für CNN\, arte\, ZDF\, Deutsche Welle\, den Bundestag. Doch mittlerweile arbeitet sie direkt für ihre Follower und veröffentlicht bei Instagram und Twitter unabhängigen Journalismus. Sie arbeitet zu den Themen Genozide\, Medienkritik\, antimuslimischer Rassismus. DESCRIPTION:*Bitte beachtet\, dass die Veranstaltung nicht im Oyoun\, sondern in Sarajevo stattfindet.* \nDie Genozide der 1990er Jahre an Tutsis und Bosniaken erschütterten die Welt – und zählen bis heute zu den blutigsten Ereignissen der modernen Geschichte. \nAus der gelebten Realität von Trauma\, Krieg\, Ausgrenzung und Exil entstand das transnationale dokumentarisches Musiktheater UN:IMAGINABLE - our histories in conversation\, welches verschiedene Formen der Heilung in den Bereichen von sich wiederholender Geschichte\, Krieg\, Genozid und Leben in der Diaspora erforscht. \nNach intensiven\, gemeinsam erlebten Wochen des Teilens\, des Austauschs und des Lernens von mehr als 20 Menschen aus sechs Ländern feierte UN:IMAGINABLE - our histories im Mai 2022 seine Premiere bei uns im Oyoun. Im Juli 2022 wurde dieses multimediale und analoge Erlebnis\, in dem zutiefst menschliche Geschichten erzählt werden\, im Rahmen des Ubumuntu Arts Festival im Genocide Memorial Kigali aufgeführt. \nNun setzt es seine Reise nach Sarajevo\, Bosnien-Herzegowina\, fort. Dort wird die Verfilmung von UN:IMAGINABLE - our histories in conversation am 14.
