DESCRIPTION:Der Art-Expression Life-Drawing Club unter der Leitung von Golnar Tabibzadeh ist zurück in Berlin! \nJeden Monat wird Art-Expression Studios mindestens eine Life-Drawing-Session in der letzten Woche des Monats im Oyoun veranstalten. Kommt vorbei und erlebt drei Stunden Life-Drawing mit Live-Modellen\, die posieren. \nTicket: Die Teilnahmegebühr ist spendenbasiert und beginnt bei 15€ pro Sitzung. \nWenn ihr eure zeichnerischen Fähigkeiten\, visuelle Kenntnisse der menschlichen Anatomie und die Grundlagen der Zeichentechniken erlernen oder verbessern möchtet\, könnt ihr ein zusätzliches Training für 15 € pro Sitzung (insgesamt 30 €) buchen. \nBringt bitte eure eigenen Zeichenmaterialien mit. \nEine Voranmeldung über die Website von Art-Expression ist erforderlich.  \nTeilnehmende erhalten nach der Voranmeldung eine Rechnung für die Anmeldung. DESCRIPTION:»Wir alle haben Rassismus gelernt. Und es liegt an uns\, zu reflektieren und Anti-Rassismus zu lernen. Es liegt an dir. Und es ist Arbeit. Arbeit\, die wir alle dringend machen müssen. Josephine Apraku lädt dich dazu ein und diese Einladung ist ein Geschenk« \n-Mareice Kaiser \nIn ihrer*seiner Arbeit als Trainer*in für intersektionale rassismuskritische Bildungsarbeit macht Josephine Apraku immer wieder die Erfahrung\, dass sich Menschen konkrete Handlungsanweisungen wünschen\, um Rassismus im Alltag aktiv zu begegnen. Doch simple Rezepte im Kampf gegen strukturellen Rassismus gibt es nicht. Ebenso wenig realistisch sind einfache Schritt-für-Schritt Anweisungen\, um Situationen aufzulösen\, in denen Rassismus reproduziert wird. Sich gegen strukturellen Rassismus einzusetzen ist harte Arbeit – und zwar an uns selbst. DESCRIPTION:Outsiders in Berlin seeks to center and unpack consent in the form of movement/the absence of autonomy\, counter the ideals of Völkerschauen\, & discuss what it means to be viewed and consumed without acquiescence. All with the focus on how Black transmasculine individuals navigate space in Berlin. \nProgramming will take place over the course of two days: July 8th will include the screening of films by Jota Ramos & SJ Rahatoka\, along with an artist discussion and conversation. July 9th will include performances by Kalil Bat & Bishop Black whose movements will center on the notion of questioning consent\, & objectification\, all while navigating black masculinity within queer Berlin society.  \nQuestions to consider: \n\nWhose bodies are relegated to the perpetual state of being viewed? How does consent operate in this dynamic?\nHow can we reposition this dynamic?\nHow are Black Queer spaces being utilized to specifically address the lack of visibility for Black Trans Masc individuals living in Berlin?\nHow can we increase the development of safer and more visible spaces to exist here in Berlin?\nHow does autonomy function today when dealing with a history predicated on its absence?\nHow are we addressing our own personal biases\, & misogyny when sharing space/ interacting with the black trans masculine community?\n\nFree admission! Beginning with autobiographical artistic experiments\, Ramos explores the practices of performance\, video\, installation\, photography\, and poetry. Creating peripheral dissident subjectivities that dialogue with symbolic\, etymological\, and black and brown identity references\, he seeks to bring a poetic reflection as a healing space thinking about how to portray the authenticity of the brown body in a genuine way\, as a light-skinned Black person. His research investigates tools to build an antiracist and powerful representation of bipoc trans people’s sociality\, identity\, and their historical journey. He is currently studying directing at FilmArche in Berlin and has a postgraduate degree in applied social science by the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul where he researched the black female entrepreneur movement in the southern region of Brazil. \nInstagram \nSJ \nSJ Rahatoka is a Black Transmasculine interdisciplinary performance creator and filmmaker based in Berlin. He is from Madagascar and Mauritius and was raised in France where he studied literature\, theater\, art and philosophy.  SJ’s creations explore the themes of Afrofuturism\, Trans identity\, Queerness\, and Interconnectedness. He is part of the collective creation of the Queer Sci-fi international movie Swarm of Selenium in 2016. In July 2021\, his Queer Sci-fi script Falling into the Light about ancestral healing was selected by BAAB and he had 48h to direct it collectively with 5 other Black filmmakers. The film premiered at the festival Black Reels in July 2022 in Berlin. Since October 2021\, SJ has been part of filmArche where he studies fiction directing and screenwriting. DESCRIPTION:Our Fellow Bernard Hage invites everyone to his second music album launch and live concert on the 9th of July here at Oyoun! \n“Kaput” is the second music album by Lebanese cartoonist and musician Bernard Hage\, also known as “The art of Boo". DESCRIPTION:Lecture Performances\, Screening and discussion with contributions by Hillside Projects\, Julia Schuster\, Devadeep Gupta\, Lea Maria Wittich and Nilanjan Bhattacharya. Curated by Arijit Bhattacharyya \nOyouns curatorial focus Listening to the Land launches with Species\, Soil and Successors by Arijit Bhattacharyya\, a curatorial project consisting of three chapters. \nBased on curatorial research and a remote art residency\, the project shares its first creations at Oyoun Berlin on Saturday\, 15 July\, 2023\, between 2 pm and 9 pm. In the presence of the curator and participating artists\, the first chapter will be presented as part of a conference with lecture performances and a subsequent panel discussion. The second chapter of Species\, Soil and Successors will also be opened on 15 July 2023 with a multimedia exhibition at Oyoun. \nAfter kicking off the event with a screening by interdisciplinary artist Julia Schuster\, Hillside Projects' lecture performance Searching For the European Roller maps the life\, movement and disappearance of the bluebird – The European Roller – excavating the many layers surrounding the birds’ need for departure and the strong national desire in the context of Sweden for it to return. Devadeep Gupta’s work tackles the Baghjan Oil Blowout\, which happened on an Oil-India Limited-owned site on 27th of May 2020 in an area home to a multitude of migratory birds and animals and which has caused the displacement of more than 1600 families who were in the vicinity of the site of gas blowout. In her performance Molluscular modes\, artist Lea Maria Wittich is indulging in a political history of the snail and doing an associative research on slowness\, spirals\, slime\, snails and slugs\, whereas Nilanjan Bhatttacharya’s Of the Sun and the Moon\, the Water\, the Soil\, and the Daily is a kaleidoscopic\, live and solo reading performance intertwined with moving images and sound that reminds the audience and himself about our current disguised\, dystopian order. \nWe are surviving through an epoch of spiralling ecological devastation\, multispecies extinction and military extractivism. The notion of a collective future beyond human existence is still a far imagination. Though imagination is an essential practice. Imagination succors knowledge applicable in problem-solving and is elemental to integrating experiences in learning. Arijit triggers us to see what we want to close our eyes to\, while inspiring us to re-imagine structures that define who we are. \nHillside Projects \nis Emily Berry Mennerdahl and Jonas Böttern. Situated within a conceptual framework\, their work explores tales of disappearances in the natural world and the interrelated socio-political narratives and existential emotions that arise through these tales. Hillside Projects approach their subject matter by embracing the absurd\, the comedic\, and the tragic. Hillside Projects’ works are manifested as text\, video\, painting\, sound\, and large site-specific installations. Performance lies at the core of their practice\, explored through performative walks\, lecture performances and time-based presentations. Hillside Projects tell stories. Stories of ecological collapses and failed symbiosis. Stories about birds. Colourful birds on the brink of extinction\, birds killed in aeroplane crashes\, birds that eat the dead. In their making\, the bird stories expand into larger narratives. Narratives about the cycles of life\, of being eaten and eating\, and of dust. \nWebsite \nDevadeep Gupta’s \nartistic process is an exploration of regional ecological uncertainties through a critical examination of associated mainstream perspectives. Inspired by site-specific and vernacular occurrences\, Devadeep delves into the intricate relationship between people and their land. His artistic practice encompasses the realms of film and sculpture\, bridging the gap between conceptual and documentary approaches. Within this intersection\, the artist is particularly interested in narratives that emerge from the convergence of mythology and contemporary experiences. Grounded in the rich cultural landscape of Assam\, Devadeep draws inspiration from pragmatic practices\, oral traditions\, and folklore. Central to his artistic endeavors are performative processes that pay homage to meta-cultural practices. Devadeep is an active member of Northeast Lightbox\, an artist collective dedicated to fostering exchange between regional archives and contemporary practices. \nWebsite  \nLea Maria Wittich \nIn her artistic work\, Lea Maria Wittich (*1994) explores questions of social and ecological justice and the coexistence of human and non-human agents. In her conceptual works\, which are informed by intensive "random research\," she uses a variety of media\, particularly clothing\, objects\, and performance\, and situates them in site-specific contexts. She studied Fashion at the Berlin University of the Arts as well as "Public Art and New Artistic Strategies" at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. \nWebseite \nJulia Schuster  \nis an interdisciplinary artist from Vienna\, Austria\, currently based in Bollebygd\, rural Sweden. She holds an MA in ceramics from the Royal College of Art in London and a BA in design from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano\, Italy. \nHer material-discursive practice manifests as clay and ceramic installations\, which are combined with photography\, sound\, video and written work. She investigates clay’s unique cellular memory in relation to the memory that exists in our own human bodies. By exploring how materiality\, writing and the body's inward and outward movements unite\, she creates spaces that carry a grounding and deeply contemplative quality. \nIn recent years her practice has increasingly become site-specific and is often informed by learning new skills such as her training to become a doula\, a birth companion. The intimate and hands-on care a doula provides for birthing people parallels the way she works with the material clay. At the core her artworks invite you to remember the connections between the sense of touch\, caring for the body\, and caring for the land. \nJulia has undertaken residencies in Denmark\, Nepal\, the United Kingdom\, Germany and South Korea. Selected exhibitions include the British Ceramics Biennial\, Photo Kathmandu\, Palinsesti\, the Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art and Röda Sten Konsthall. She is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics. \nWebsite \nNilanjan Bhattacharya \nis a filmmaker\, artist and writer from Calcutta\, India. For the last fifteen years\, he has been exploring biodiversity\, food cultures and indigenous knowledge systems in India. They delve into the complex dynamics and socio-economic disparities between rural and urban areas\, examining how these divisions perpetuate inequality and affect various aspects of society. \nIn their artistic practice\, Suvojit\, Soumik and Shibayan take into account the postcolonial understanding of the nation-state as an extension of colonial heritage. This perspective recognizes the enduring influence of colonialism on social\, cultural\, and economic structures within the nation. By examining the contemporary context through this lens\, the collective aims to shed light on the ongoing effects of colonialism and challenge the status quo. \nMoreover\, Studio 33/3 is particularly interested in exploring the ecological devastation occurring in the region as a class struggle. They view environmental issues not only as matters of ecological concern but also as interconnected with social and economic factors. By examining the environmental impact through the lens of class struggle\, the collective aims to highlight the unequal distribution of environmental burdens and advocate for more equitable and sustainable practices. \nSoumik Ghosh \nis a multidisciplinary visual artist hailing from Kolkata\, India. His artistic exploration centres around politics and social representation\, seeking to challenge the prevailing constructs of contemporary Bengali society. Influenced by literature\, oral history\, and films\, Ghosh's work reflects a deep engagement with various forms of storytelling and cultural narratives. \nHis practice encompasses a range of mediums\, including performances\, paintings\, photographs\, and large-scale installations. Through these artistic forms\, he interrogates societal norms and conventions\, encouraging critical reflection on the existing power structures and social hierarchies. His work is both self-referential and socially conscious\, delving into personal experiences while also addressing broader societal contradictions. \nShibayan Halder \nis a multidisciplinary artist whose upbringing has been shaped by the profound disagreement between Communist West Bengal and the wave that led to its overthrow. This conflict was not only political but also symbolic of the tension between the urban and rural spheres. Halder's artistic practice deeply resonates with this conflict\, exploring the changing sociopolitical landscape and metaphors of people and their evolving relationship with nature in the small villages of South 24 Parganas\, West Bengal. \nThrough his work\, Shibayan reflects on the shifting dynamics of power\, society\, and nature within these rural communities. He delves into the intricate interplay between these elements\, capturing the nuances and complexities of their relationships. His artistic exploration revolves around the sociopolitical scenario of the region\, considering the impacts of political transformations and urbanization on the lives of the people and beyond in these villages. His work serves as a metaphorical lens through which he examines the evolving dynamics and tensions between the urban and rural realms and their influence on local communities of human and non-human agents. \nFurthermore\, his practice underscores the profound connection between people and nature within these rural environments. DESCRIPTION:Multimedia-exhibition with artworks by Studio 33/3\, Devadeep Gupta and Julia Schuster. \nOyouns latest curatorial focus Listening to the Land launches with “Species\, Soil and Successors” by Arijit Bhattacharyya\, a curatorial project consisting of three chapters. \nIn its second segment “Soil and Successor”\, the project holds space for artistic engagement in peripheral socioecologies. Through a remote artist residency with Studio 33/3\, Swagata Bhattacharyya and Binita Limbani\, the project confronts us with another reality where climate catastrophe structures everyday life. The resulting multimedia exhibition\, which is on display at Oyoun between 15 and 26 July will present audiovisual works of some of the residency artists as well as of the artists Devadeep Gupta and Julia Schuster. Some of the video works will be screened at the launch event on 15 July as well. \nWe are surviving through an epoch of spiraling ecological devastation\, multispecies extinction and military extractivism. The notion of a collective future beyond human existence is still a far imagination. Though imagination is an essential practice. Imagination succors knowledge applicable in problem-solving and is elemental to integrating experiences in learning. How do we imagine a pluriversal multispecies future? "Species\, Soil and Successors" imagines framing a complex practice-oriented enquiry into intersectional climate justice by listening to people who are often sidelined. DESCRIPTION:Dancer and choregrapher Llewellyn Mnguni hails from the small town of Mafikeng in the North West Province of South Africa. As an artist*\, Llewellyn Mnguni grew up in many different artistic and educational settings in South Africa\, which led Llewellyn to appreciate the many different dance styles and disciplines\, especially in the many cultures within South Africa where dance is an integral part of rites of passage. In this Jazz dance class Llewellyn will focus on strength\, flexibility and freedom of movement\, while also working on body confidence and a well rounded movement experience. \nTicket: 12 Euro (Ticketbutton at the bottom of this page) \nRegistration also possible via: llewellyntebz@yahoo.com \nLanguage: English \nBiography \nDancer and choreographer Llewellyn Mnguni began training at the the age of 14 at the Mmabana Mmabatho Arts Council as a Latin American and Ballroom dance student and continued to compete on a professional level from 1999-2002. In 2003 he aoended the National School of the Arts and thereaper obtained a Dance Teachers Diploma at the University of Cape Town School of Dance School in the year 2010. Mnguni also joined the Mmabana Dance Company as a full time dance teacher and choreographer from 2007-2009. While completing his final year in high school (Grade 12) he performed and choreographed for the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown in 2006 for his work ‘Prozac’ and then the GIPCA Live Arts Festival under the directorship of Jay Pather in 2012. In 2010 he joined the Bovim Ballet company under the directorship of Sean Bovim. Mnguni has performed with the likes of Celeste Botha and Marlin Zoutman during his time as a company member of New World Dance Theatre. He has collaborated with well acclaimed artists such as Ahmed Umar for “Tribute to Ali” an exhibition at the Format gallery in Oslo. He has performed the challenging roles of Odile in Swan Lake\, Escamilio in Carmen and Myrtha in Giselle for Dada Masilo's extensive Asian\,European\, Canadian and US during 2013-2017\, Mnguni also collaborated with visual artist/LGBTI activist Zanele Muholi and Lerato Dumse for a series of exhibitions and site specific shows during the 2016 Oslo gay pride week and the Faces and Phases Paris Exhibition in 2023. Mnguni has been nominated for a UK National Dance award for Most Outstanding Modern Male dancer. He won a Standard Bank Ovation award for his dance film “Resilience” and recreated it into his first self curated and directed Live Art Exhibition at the reputable Kalashnikov gallery in Johannesburg. His dance\nteaching experience spans from teaching at dance companies\, primary and high schools as well as workshops around South Africa and Europe. DESCRIPTION:Solo Show of Yukiko Nagakura \nThe solo show “Blood runs in our bodies"; consists of four movies: 1) “I have a long journey before me.” (2016) on the women in Fukushima and their struggles in the aftermath of the Fukushima disaster in 2011. 2) “The Mother” (2022) about motherhood and maternity from the autobiographical point of view\, 3) “Track the trace - Bauhausler Tamae Ohno-” (2023) on a Japanese woman who studied at the Bauhaus Berlin that was forced to close due to the political pressure by the Nazis\, and 4) “Ms. Yamada” (2023)\, telling a story of Waka Yamada\, who was a survivor of sexual slavery in the U.S. and became a maternalist feminist in Japan. With these movies as the foundation\, new drawings of Yukiko Nagakura will be presented in the space as well. DESCRIPTION:“Art is a refuge for the marginalized\, a sacred space where queer people\ncan reclaim their narratives and redefine their place in the world.” - Ocean Vuong \nGermany stands out as one of the most progressive countries when it comes to LGBTQIAP+ rights. Because of this\, a large number of queer people migrate to Germany\, seeking a better life and opportunity. However\, it could be challenging to live in a new country after leaving one’s country of origin.   \nWould life be automatically better and easier for a queer immigrant in Germany? This might depend on person to person\, as everyone has their own experience. Along with queerness\, queer immigrants carry other multiple- identities with them – diverse cultures\, races\, languages\, lived experiences\, and beyond.  \nCCP fellows\, Shuhrat Saidov from Tajikistan and Dipesh Khanal from Nepal are doing a project through which they aim to give space to and highlight the intersectional stories and experiences of immigrant queer individuals. They invite queer immigrants from around the world living in Germany to participate in a personal discussion and engage with a diverse group of people who share similar or unique experiences. The project aims to offer a safer space where people can share their vulnerabilities\, joys\, and bonds of solidarity. Das Projekt zielt darauf ab\, unterschiedliche muslimische bzw. muslimisch gelesene Menschen in einem neuartigen Debatten- und Beteiligungsformat zusammenbringen\, um einen solidarischen Austausch und produktiven Umgang mit Fremdzuschreibungen zu fördern. \nDas Projekt ist auf 5 Jahre angelegt.In der ersten Phase diskutierten die Teilnehmenden eigens gewählte Themen und erarbeiteten in der zweiten Phase gemeinsame Forderungen oder Botschaften in Arbeitsgruppen. In der dritten Phase geht es um den Transfer dieser gemeinsam entwickelten Botschaften in Richtung der sog. Mehrheitsgesellschaft. Eine Reise\, die in Beton und die Ruinen der Industrialisierung führt. Angetrieben von Trauer und tiefem Schmerz\, durchdrungen vom Zauber der Szeptuchas und dem Rascheln der Blätter des Waldes in der Dunkelheit des Neumondes.\nBegleitet Eszka bei dieser eindringlichen Erfahrung und lasst euch von ihrer Musik auf eine Reise mitnehmen\, die von Metamorphose\, Alchemie und Mystik geprägt ist.\nDie Veranstaltung ist die Präsentation von Eszkas EP skin_deep. Das bedeutet\, bei dieser Aufführung wird für eine entspannte und lockere Atmosphäre gesorgt. Es wird verschiedene Sitz- und Stehmöglichkeiten geben. Wir werden den Raum nicht komplett füllen. Ihr könnt euch nach euren Bedürfnissen frei bewegen\, gehen und wiederkommen. Die Türen werden eine Stunde vor Beginn der Veranstaltung (20:00 h) geöffnet\, damit ihr Zeit habt\, den Raum kennenzulernen und euch einen bevorzugten Platz auszusuchen. \nBitte beachtet\, dass zeitgleich mehrere Veranstaltungen im Haus stattfinden. Auf den Toiletten und den Gängen im Garten\, Souterrain und Café kann es dazu kommen\, dass viele Personen gleichzeitig die Räumlichkeiten nutzen. Am Tag der Veranstaltung könnt ihr euch ab 15:00 Uhr bei ihnen melden. \nSitzgelegenheiten \nZusätzlich zu den Stehplätzen werden vor der Bühne ausreichend Sitzplätze zur Verfügung stehen. Ihr könnt euch auf Sitzsäcken in verschiedenen Größen und Dichten als auch auf Stühlen niederlassen.  \nRuheraum \nWährend der Relaxed Performance ist ein Ruheraum direkt neben dem Club für euch bereitgestellt. Hier könnt ihr auf dem Sofa und den Sitzkissen entspannen. Das dort instalierte gedämpfte Licht soll dabei die Sinne beruhigen. Der Eingang zum Ruheraum ist 95 cm breit. \nSensorische Reize \nScharfer und lauter Lärm\, sich schnell bewegende Lichter\, Projektionen\, Nebel. \nTrigger Warnung \nExpliziter Inhalt/emotionale Gewalt/Co-Abhängigkeit/expliziter sexueller Inhalt/Drogenmissbrauch \nNäher an der Veranstaltung werden wir detailliertere Trigger-Informationen veröffentlichen. Generell kann schon jetzt gesagt werden\, dass die Veranstaltung eine sehr immersive Sinneserfahrung sein wird. Es wird schnelles Licht\, schnell wechselnde Projektionen und laute Musik geben. \nZugänglichkeit des Veranstaltungsortes \nAnfahrt/Abfahrt \nDie nächste Ubahn Station ist U Hermannplatz (U7/U8). Sie ist 500m vom Oyoun entfernt und verfügt über mehrere Rolltreppen (Eingang Hermannplatz). Aufgrund der anhaltenden Sanierungsarbeiten in der Bahnhofshalle sind die Aufzüge derzeit nicht benutzbar. Menschen\, die auf einen barrierefreien Zugang zur U7 und U8 angewiesen sind\, können einen Muva-Kleinbus anfordern\, der sie zum nächsten Bahnhof mit funktionierendem Aufzug bringt. Über die App der BVG oder telefonisch (Tel. 25 65 55 55) wird nach Buchung eine Wegleitung zum Ankunftsort des Transportmittels angeboten. Ein gültiger Fahrschein wird dafür vorausgesetzt. \nFür die Anreise mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln findet ihr alle Informationen zu Barrierefreiheit auf der Seite der VBB. (Link: https://www.vbb.de/vbb-services/barrierefreiheit/) \nParken \nEs ist ein Parkplatz mit fünf Stellplätzen direkt vor dem Haupteingang des Hauses. Auf Anfrage über E-Mail (access(at)oyoun.de) oder Telefon (+49 30 6805 0426) kann ein Platz reserviert oder ggf. freigemacht werden. \nZugang zum Haus und Club vom Gartentor \nEs gibt eine Rampe mit einer Steigung von 5\,44%\, die vom Garten aus ins Café im Erdgeschoss führt. Die Rampe ist über den Eingang durch das Gartentor an der Hinterseite des Oyoun (von der Lucy-Lameck-Straße aus) zu erreichen. Die Entfernung vom Tor bis zum Eingang beträgt ungefähr 12\,0 Meter. Für den Zugang zur Rampe muss eine ca. 2cm hohe Unebenheit überquert werden. Um zum Fahrstuhl zu gelangen\, ist der Gastraum des Cafés zu durchqueren. Der Weg zum Aufzug führt aus dem Café Raum rechts an der Bar vorbei. Die Strecke vom Eingangstor bis zum Fahrstuhl beträgt 35 Meter. Der Club im Souterrain ist über den Fahrstuhl zugänglich. Der Fahrstuhl hat die Maße: 1\,07m Breite\, 2\,09m Länge und 2\,09m Höhe. Im Fahrstuhl Inneren drückt die Taste mit der Kennzeichnung "-1"\, um zum Club zu gelangen. Sobald ihr im Souterrain seid\, findet ihr den Clubeingang direkt gegenüber der Aufzugstür\, in einer Entfernung von 8\,5 Metern. \nZugang zum Haus und Club vom Haupteingang/Parkplätze \nDer Club im Souterrain ist über den Fahrstuhl zugänglich. Der Fahrstuhl (mit Maßen von 1\,07m Breite\, 2\,09m Länge und 2\,09m Höhe) befindet sich in einer Entfernung von 6\,30 Metern von der nächsten Parkmöglichkeit. Der Weg von der Parkmöglichkeit zum Fahrstuhl führt über unebenes Kopfsteinpflaster. \nUm den Fahrstuhl vom Hof aus zu benutzen\, bitten wir euch\, die Klingel am Haupteingang zu betätigen. Unser Hauspersonal wird euch dann von innen die Aufzugstür öffnen. Im Fahrstuhl angekommen\, könnt ihr die Taste mit dem Hinweis "-1" drücken\, um in das untere Stockwerk zu gelangen. Nach der Ankunft im Souterrain findet ihr den Clubeingang direkt gegenüber der Aufzugstür\, nur 8\,5 Meter entfernt. \nBarrierefreie Toilette \nIm ersten Obergeschoss befindet sich ein barrierefreies WC mit den Maßen 2\,10 x 2\,10 m. Dieses ist über dem Fahrstuhl zugänglich (siehe die Beschreibung vom Eingang/ Club zum Fahrstuhl oben). Der Toiletteneingang ist 108 cm breit und t 5\,10 m geradeaus vom Fahrstuhl entfernt. \nTaktiles Leitsystem und taktiler Grundrissplan  \nIm Souterrain\, am Eingang zum Club\, der zur Garten-Seite hin ausgerichtet ist\, ist ein taktiler Grundriss angebracht. Zusätzlich wird für diese Veranstaltung ein taktiles Leitsystem eingerichtet\, das euch vom Gebäudeeingang in den Club führt. However\, this definition of the home is not always shared by a broader population\, specifically marginalized communities\, who\, like everyone\, should be accepted for instinctual birthrights to provide an inner structure/shelter to protect cultures\, languages\, loved ones\, stories\, dreams\, memories\, and futures. \nThe Home ReMixtape Artchives is a series of art workshops utilizing the creation of home mixtapes as an archival approach to document\, protect and preserve untold stories centered around the home experience. Participants will explore mixed media; graff writing\, illustrations\, timelines\, found sounds\, interviews\, audio recordings\, songs\, and music production to collaborate on a community mixtape. Under her supervision and care\, Maurice dug through the crates of his grandma's record collection\, was reprimanded for tagging (writing) names in Crayola on walls\, watched other family members perform acrobatic dance moves at cook-outs\, listened to Muhammad Ali kick rhymes predicting his knockouts\, and resampled his aunts and uncles' fashion aesthetics. As a result\, Maurice was consistently provided with an openness to be creative and courageous in discovering self-identity and expression. Sie studierte Islamwissenschaften\, Nahoststudien und Kommunikationswissenschaften an der Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg sowie an der FAU in Erlangen. Ihre Schwerpunkte lagen vor allem auf islamischem Recht\, Islamismus und Sexualität im Islam. \nIm Sommer 2020 gründete sie gemeinsam mit ihrer Freundin Sarah den Podcast „Hamam Talk“ in dem sie über Rassismus\, Politik\, Kultur\, Gesellschaft\, Identität und Sexualität spricht. Alles Themen\, die sie aufgrund ihrer eigenen syrischen Wurzeln schon lange begleitet haben. \nNeben ihrer Aufklärungsarbeit gibt sie auch Anti-Rassismus- und Podcast-Workshops. Linda arbeitet aktuell als Community Managerin beim ZDF und Moderatorin für das Format TLNT.TALK.BERLIN bei TLNT&TLNT e.V. \nSarah Farhatiar \nSarah Farhatiar ist in Freiburg im Breisgau geboren und wuchs dort auf. Sie absolvierte ihr Studium der Islamwissenschaften mit dem Schwerpunkt Zentral- und Südasien sowie Soziologie an der Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. Darüber hinaus erwarb sie einen Master in Global Studies an der Universität Basel. Während ihres Studiums konzentrierte sie sich insbesondere auf feministische Friedens- und Konfliktforschung sowie Migration. \nIm Sommer 2020 gründete Sarah gemeinsam mit ihrer Freundin Linda den Podcast "Hamam Talk"\, in dem sie über eine Vielzahl von Themen spricht\, darunter Rassismus\, Politik\, Kultur\, Gesellschaft\, Identität und Sexualität. SUMMARY:Sea Behind the Wall | Workshop | Agri/Cultural Practice for Climate Justice
DESCRIPTION:A workshop with Mojisola Adebayo and Nicole Wolf\nAre you interested in addressing racism and climate injustice? Would you like to explore how art and agroecology can work together? Are you Black\, of African or Asian descent\, an Indigenous person or Person of Colour\, from a migration background or a white person committed to anti-racism? \n If so – read on! \nWhat is the workshop about?\nAgri/cultural practices for climate justice is an experimental workshop that provides an embodied introduction to agroecology principles and sustainable landscape design through games and exercises from Theatre of the Oppressed. The workshop\, which takes place as part of the outdoor programme “Sea Behind the Wall”\, aims to rehearse solutions for change and explores diverse artistic practices\, including creative writing\, in a playful and accessible way. \nBoth Agroecology (also referred to as permaculture) and Theatre of the Oppressed are informed by Indigenous and Black knowledge and experiences. This workshop is based on this acknowledgment and focuses on anti-racism\, climate justice\, decolonizing practices\, addressing power structures\, understanding the link between colonialism\, plantation agriculture and environmental chaos. Participants will explore the potential of theatre and artistic practices to challenge environmental racism. The main sites of the workshop are the garden of Oyoun and of Spore Initiative\, with the possibility of reflecting on sites and spaces that are important to you.  \nWhat will we be doing?\nParticipants will engage in theatre games\, observing\, reading\, creative writing\, designing\, film screenings\, sharing the skill set and experiences of the group\, discussing\, experimenting with sustainable design techniques individually and in groups and doing practical exercises in the garden\, specifically during the 2nd part of the workshop on 30 September.  \nWho is the workshop for?\nThe majority of workshop places will be offered to people who are Black\, of African or Asian descent\, Indigenous and People of Colour. No specific professional or knowledge background is required but an interest in and commitment to the work of climate justice and anti-racism. Part of the work will be in smaller groups and break out groups can be facilitated. \nChildcare: Please let us know if you require childcare and we will try to support this. \nBiographies \nMojisola Adebayo \nMojisola Adebayo is a Black British performer\, playwright\, director\, producer\, workshop leader and teacher of Nigerian (Yoruba) and Danish descent. \nTrained in Theatre of the Oppressed and Physical Theatre\, Mojisola has worked internationally in theater\, television and radio for over twenty-five years\, from Antarctica to Zimbabwe. Since 1998\, Mojisola has taught in academia\, primarily at Goldsmiths\, University of London\, Department of Theatre and Performance. During her fellowship at the University of Potsdam between 2020 and 2022\, she conducted research on "White Climate: African Theatre Literatures and Agrarian/Cultural Practices." \nHer latest piece\, Family Tree\, is a play\, a performance\, a ritual about human agriculture\, human farming\, earth and the soul\, seeds and cells. The play is inspired by the life of Henrietta Lacks and explores the relationship between extraction from Black women's bodies\, extractive capitalism\, environmental racism\, and climate justice. \nWebsite \nNicole Wolf \nNicole Wolf (she/her) is a researcher\, writer and Senior Lecturer in Visual Cultures (Goldsmiths\, University of London)\, living in Berlin and London\, and is white and queer. Her background is in the study of political cinema in terms of its ability to resist what is seen as real and imagine something different. Much of her research and thinking is inspired and informed by artistic and activist practices in South Asia\, including military occupied Kashmir. Nicole began training in permaculture in 2014\, followed by two PC teacher trainings\, including Rosemary Morrow's course in Srinagar\, Kashmir. Since then\, she has passionately combined her interest in critical ecologies\, anti-colonial environmentalism\, and creative practice to explore agri-cultural practices as resistance and what a kinematics of the soil might be. \nCollective and collaborative processes of learning and making\, drawing on diverse bodies of knowledge\, are crucial to all these questions. Nicole's participation in "Living Archive - Archivarbeit als zeitgenössische künstlerische Praxis" and "Archive außer sich" (both projects of Arsenal - Institut für Film und Videokunst\, Berlin) included research and writing for the restoration of film works by Yugantar\, the first feminist film collective in India (see yugantar. Film\, produced in collaboration with Deepa Dhanraj) as well as the development of "Soil - City - Solidarity\," an interdisciplinary certificate course in urban permaculture\, and the symposium "'Tell me what mattered was the ground' - Repair beyond redemption." Together with Mojisola Adebayo\, Nicole has developed "Agri-cultural practices" as an experimental workshop method focusing on anti-racism\, art and environment (since 2019). In 2015\, Taiwo co-founded Illuminatetheatre productions with whom Taiwo works presently as Artistic Director. Illuminatetheatre productions is a multidisciplinary creative lab where a collection of young people collaborate to create experimental artistic projects with and for its community. Taiwo also serves as curator and artistic Director of Art Mobile Lagos\, Nigeria. Taiwo ́s multidisciplinary performances reflect sociopolitical topics on subjects of climate change\, environmental racism\, and postcolonial identity. Taiwo admires the relationship between the blend of the old tradition and the development of the contemporary. Coming from a rich culture where masquerades were the only form of resistance to a ruling monarch (King) policies\, Taiwo seeks to recuperate precolonial African practices through various means\, often relying on performance as a way of accessing what was lost or stolen. Taiwo ́s art blends experimental dance theater practice with socio-political consciousness for different kinds of public spaces and most often with materials discarded or overlooked as trash or cultural waste. Die Teilnehmer*innen werden Mixed-Media\, Graff Writing\, Illustrationen\, Zeitlinien\, gefundene Klänge\, Interviews\, Audioaufnahmen\, Lieder und Musikproduktion erkunden\, um gemeinsam an einem Community-Mixtape zu arbeiten. Das Ziel besteht darin\, einen kreativen Raum für verschiedene Stimmen zu schaffen\, um ihre einzigartigen Geschichten zu erzählen\, während sie einen kohärenten Rhythmus untereinander finden\, der zukünftige Erzählungen aus ihren Nachbarschaften feiert. \nDie Workshops werden in einer interaktiven Ausstellung vom 16. bis 30. September (15:00-19:00 Uhr) findet im Oyoun in Zusammenarbeit mit Queer Analog Darkroom ein 4-stündiger Workshop zur Entwicklung von Schwarz-Weiß-Filmen statt. \nDies ist das erste Mal\, dass die Dunkelkammer im Oyoun für die Öffentlichkeit geöffnet wird. Es besteht die Möglichkeit\, sich mit den chemischen Prozessen der Entwicklung eines Schwarz-Weiß-Films vertraut zu machen und sich dabei auf Elemente wie Licht\, Schatten\, Textur und Komposition zu konzentrieren. Jede*r Teilnehmer*in hat die Möglichkeit\, einen eigenen Film aufzunehmen und zu entwickeln. Die Zahl der Teilnehmer*innen ist auf 8 begrenzt. \nDie Filmentwicklung wird als eine Möglichkeit verstanden\, gemeinsam einen Schritt weg von der schnelllebigen digitalen Welt zu machen\, die die kapitalistische Anhäufung von Bildern fördert. El Cerrejón ist die größte Tagebau-Kohlemine in Südamerika\, die sich in Kolumbien befindet und in der sämtliche Kohle für Deutschland abgebaut wird. Leider hat die Förderung dieses Rohstoffs nicht nur die lokale Bevölkerung stark dezimiert\, indem sie von ihrem Land verdrängt und ihrer Menschenrechte beraubt wurde\, sondern auch ganze Flüsse umgeleitet und Wasserquellen in einer der trockensten Regionen des Landes verschmutzt. Was ist der eigentliche Preis für Deutschlands industriellen Fortschritt? \n"Dreaming of Water" ist eine kleine interaktive Klanginstallation aus Kohlesteinen\, die mit einem MIDI-Soundsystem verbunden sind. Während die Künstlerin und das Publikum mit den Steinen interagieren\, werden unterschiedliche Wasserklänge mitschwingen und eine Klanglandschaft erzeugen\, die auf die Flüsse und natürlichen Ressourcen verweist\, die nun durch den Kohlebergbau zerstört wurden.
