Welche Erinnerungen können uns unsere Körper erzählen? - über uns selbst\, unsere Vergangenheit und unsere Zukunft? Kurator*innen\, Künstler*innen und Kulturschaffende setzen sich mit Identitäten\, Zugehörigkeit und verkörperten Erinnerungen aus diasporischen\, dekolonialen und queeren Perspektiven auseinander. Ein Forschungs-\, Archivierungs-\, Ausstellungs- und Performance-Projekt\, an dem über 70 Menschen beteiligt sind. \n>>> Hier kannst du deinen Besuch der Ausstellungen im Oyoun buchen. \nWer werden wir sein\, wenn du uns nicht mehr erzählst? “Ein geliebter Mensch stirbt. Wie erleben und verarbeiten seine nächsten Angehörigen – Lebensgefährtin und gemeinsamer Sohn – die Zeit des Sterbens\, des Trauerns? Cornelia und Kerim Becker  zeigen nach zwei Wochen Residency bei Oyoun ihre Fragestellungen und gesuchten Antworten in künstlerischer\, lyrischer und musikalischer Sprache. \nNane Kahle lud Menschen ein\, sich mit ihr auf eine Yoga-Reise zu begeben\, die dem auf altägyptischem Wissen basierenden „Tjef Sema Paut Neteru“-System folgt.  In der Ausstellung wird ein kollektives Tagebuch gezeigt. \nUntangle ist eine Langzeit-Videoarbeit von Avril Stormy Unger\, die sich mit der Neudefinition von Selbst und Identität durch Bewusstwerdung verinnerlichter gesellschaftlicher Erwartungen beschäftigt. \nMit Ilk عِلْق untersucht Ahmad Baba Queerness aus einer queeren arabischen Perspektive und geht auf Spurensuche durch mehrere Jahrhunderte queeren Lebens in arabischen und muslimischen Gesellschaften. Ilk عِلْق stellt eine queere arabisch-muslimische Zukunftsvision vor\, die Heilung bewirkt. \n„Go Find Me“ ist ein digitales Archiv Schwarzer Trans-Menschen entwickelt von der Schwarzen trans Künstlerin Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley. Mittels Videospiel-Ästhetik und -Technologien will sie Aufmerksamkeit auf die Erfahrungen Schwarzer Transfrauen lenken und\, allgemeiner\, Schwarze Trans-Erfahrungen archivieren. \nIm Turm von Oyoun präsentiert der Künstler-Aktivist Sujatro Ghosh die Ausstellung Geography of Hate als Höhepunkt des gleichnamigen Projektes\, das Hass als Werkzeug für systematische Gewalt und Othering hinterfragt. Die Ausstellung umfasst Objekte\, Performance-Videos\, einen Dokumentarfilm und eine immersive Projektion und wurde von Sujatro Ghosh mit Arijit Bhattacharyya (Künstler\, Kurator und Aktivist) kuratiert. \nMirage ist eine Performance-Intervention von Avril Stormy Unger in einem gehobenen Einkaufszentrum in Bangalore\, Indien\, die strukturelle Ungleichheiten beim Zugang zu Grundbedürfnissen wie Gesundheitsversorgung und sauberem Wasser offenlegt\, wird im Oyoun als Video vorgeführt. \nD.C.A.D.V: Exocé Kasongo stellt die Arbeiten aus seiner Künstlerresidenz bei Oyoun aus\, darunter ein neue Serie von Collagen\, eine neue\, von ihm entworfene und von Soulaymane Mare geschneiderte Bekleidungslinie\, sowie drei Videos - Inspiration\, Behind the Scenes und Zola - gedreht von Etsuki Usui. \nAscension ist ein von Dr. Maiada Aboud kuratiertes Dauerprojekt über Gender\, Weiblichkeit und Menstruation. 4 einzelne Performances\, die eine ähnliche Struktur\, Sound\, Hintergrundeinstellungen und die Farbe (schwarz oder rot und weiß) teilen\, werden durch 4 separate Fenster präsentiert. \nAncestral Body Noise: Rituals of Real(ese) war ein feierlicher Abschluss des interkulturellen Heilungs-Inkubators\, geleitet von der Kulturforscherin\, Future-Folk-Musikerin und lebenslangen psycho-spirituellen Studentin Gugulethu 'Dumama' Duma. Gezeigt werden die Performances der fünf Teilnehmer*innen: KooCha\, Indrani Ashe\, Yin Cheng-Kokott\, Sailesh Naidu und Suelen Calonga.  \n  \nDer Besuch von Ausstellungen im Oyoun ist nur mit einem Online-Ticket möglich. Ilk عِلْق sets out a queer Arab Muslim futuristic vision\, that starts with healing through rewriting histories on one’s own terms. \n“Go Find Me” is a digital archive of Black Trans existence created by the Black trans artist\, Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley. Through video game aesthetics and technologies\, she  aims to bring to the forefront the experiences of Black trans women and\, more generally\, to archive the Black trans experience.  \nIn the Tower of Oyoun\, the artist-activist Sujatro Ghosh presents the exhibition Geography of Hate as a culmination of his project of the same name\, which questions hate as a tool for systematic violence and otherisation. SUMMARY:Sonic In(ter)ventions | Out of Time Embassy
DESCRIPTION:Sonic In(ter)ventions is a jam session. As cultural workers responding to the times with community building\, Out of Time Embassy (OOTE) consciously meld together sound and healing to form sessions of high-energy improvisation. Spaces are reimagined as interactive meditation sites for historical excavation\, archival protest\, and creative processing. Open and free artistic expressions are cultivated with an intention of decentralizing and celebrating the knowledge production process through action based art forms such as dance and music. \nOOTE is a collective that emerged out of a pure necessity to create and build community. It is a multicultural group of curators producing conversation and curiosity about art and culture and civic engagement\, meditating on local and global impacts of cultural work. OOTE embodies an international unity for seemingly disparate worlds\, building bridges and creating safe(r) spaces for expression to be cultivated and nurtured. Together\, we produce outdoor concerts such as Sonic In(ter)ventions\, a weekly ritual\, which organically curated itself in the wake of the BLM protest and amidst the global pandemic.  \n5-10€ \nTickets/Donations can be acquired via Eventbrite (link will follow) or on the door. DESCRIPTION:Exilio\, migración y memoria. \n¿Tienes algún familiar alemán antifascista que se exilió a Latinoamérica entre 1933 y 1945?¿Volviste a las raíces? ¿Con qué te encontraste cuando regresaste a lo que fue tu país de origen? \nComo parte del proyecto “Jetztzeit - Lebenserinnerungen zur Migration” se realizará unos encuentros de familiares de exiliados que en la actualidad retornaron a vivir a Alemania. \nEl objetivo general de estos encuentros es crear espacios de reflexión\, de confianza mutua y de participación\, en los que la voz de los inmigrantes pueda ser transmitida y comprendida por otros miembros de la comunidad. Así\, estas reuniones representan un ejercicio de memoria colectiva y la experiencia personal de la migración se transforma de problemática individual a colectiva dentro de la comunidad. \nEn el primer encuentro nos haremos preguntas como ¿quiénes fueron aquellos familiares y qué sabemos acerca de su exilio en Latinoamérica? ¿Por qué decidimos retornar a Alemania? ¿Cómo es nuestra experiencia actual como migrantes? Nos ayudarán para crear un espacio seguro en donde compartir y conocer otras personas que tienen historias similares. \nEn el segundo encuentro trabajaremos en una cartografía de la memoria colectiva a partir del uso archivos\, fotos\, collage\, dibujos\, poemas. Estos medios los usaremos en el presente para visualizar migraciones\, territorios y memorias que se viven individualmente\, pero al mismo tiempo son colectivas y se las puede encontrar nuevos sentidos desde nuestro presente. \n\nEl workshop será dado en alemán y español.\nLos dos encuentros serán presenciales y en un espacio al aire libre. Bist du zu den Wurzeln zurückgekehrt? Was hast du vorgefunden\, als du in das Herkunftsland zurückgekommen bist? \nIm Rahmen des Projekts "Jetztzeit - Lebenserinnerungen zur Migration" findet eine Begegnung von Angehörigen von Vertriebenen statt\, die heute wieder in Deutschland leben. \nDas generelle Ziel dieser Begegnungen ist es\, Räume zur Reflexion\, für gegenseitiges Vertrauen und für Partizipation zu schaffen\, bei denen die Stimme der Migranten an andere Personen der Gemeinschaft weitergegeben und verstanden werden können. Somit stellen diese Treffen eine Übung zur kollektiven Erinnerung dar und die persönlichen Erfahrung der Migration werden innerhalb der Gemeinschaft von individuellen zu kollektiven Problematiken: \nIn einem ersten Treffen werden Fragen gestellt wie: Wer waren diese Verwandten und was wissen wir über ihr Exil in Lateinamerika? Warum haben wir uns entschieden\, nach Deutschland zurückzukehren? Wie sind unsere aktuellen Erfahrungen als Migranten? Diese Fragen werden uns helfen\, einen sicheren Raum zu schaffen\, in dem wir uns austauschen und andere Menschen treffen können\, die ähnliche Geschichten haben. \nBei dem zweiten Treffen werden wir an einer Kartographie der kollektiven Erinnerung arbeiten und dabei Archive\, Fotos\, Collagen\, Zeichnungen und Gedichte verwenden. Wir werden diese Medien heute benutzen\, um Migrationen\, Territorien und Erinnerungen zu visualisieren\, die individuell gelebt werden\, aber gleichzeitig kollektiv sind und aus unserer Gegenwart heraus neue Bedeutungen finden können. \n\nDer Workshop findet auf Deutsch und Spanisch statt.\nBeide Treffen werden im Freien durchgeführt. SUMMARY:KAUM Indonesian Alternative Performance & Film Festival 2021
DESCRIPTION:The KAUM Indonesian Alternative Performance & Film Festival organised by the Soydivision collective aims to raise underrepresented voices in the Indonesian society on issues related to the environment\, the Chinese-Indonesian society\, East Indonesia\, Feminism\, and LGBTQ+. These different topics translate into the categories of the festival: dare to be conscious\, dare to be different\, dare to be east\, dare to be equal\, dare to be oneself! \nThe festival takes place over 14 days at three different venues: Oyoun - Lucy-Lameck-Str. 32\, 12049 Berlin\, District Berlin - Bessemerstraße 2\, 12103 Berlin\, and Ana Conda am Ufer - Uferstr. 23 c/o Uferstudios\, 13357 Berlin. However\, as a nation that claims “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika” (Unity in Diversity) as its official national motto\, Indonesia still faces segregation within its diverse society: there exist the marginalized and the minority. Some of the marginalized choose to flee the country in the hope of finding a better future elsewhere. However\, geographically escaping the space does not mean solving the issues\, as it has veritably ingrained and became a part of one’s identity. \nSoydivision is a Berlin-based independent alternative Indonesian diaspora collective with a mission to provoke a discussion about the exploration and the expression of identity through art and food. Reflecting on the issue of marginalized communities\, Soydivision was inspired to expand its calling to create a platform and space for the underrepresented in a hybrid form of a performance and film festival: KAUM - Indonesian Alternative Performance & Film Festival. \nPerformance is the breath of Soydivision as a collective. It is often used as a medium to express the community’s concerns and to channel our responses to issues mainly related to social and climate injustice. Established and founded in 2017\, Soydivision has been growing ever since\, allowing the community’s family to expand\, as it gets to meet and collaborate with other Indonesian and Asian diasporas\, who share similar interests and backgrounds: from students\, fellow artists\, performers\, musicians to filmmakers. We believe that we can find more innovative yet sustainable methods from these diverse universes and connections to impact and attract new audiences. \nLike two sides of a coin\, we see performance and film as two fundamentally interconnected parts\, as they essentially carry the same notion and share similar purposes - to convey emotions. With film\, the emotions are often channeled through live-action storytelling that is documented through a lens based on the actual space. On the other side\, the act of performance originated and is processed internally before it is tangibly and presently expressed\, regardless of where the scene occurs. \nBased on this view\, this alternative festival aims to cultivate and preserve diverse\, underrepresented  Indonesian voices to advance in Europe. The festival showcases several main categories covering some of the underlying issues of Indonesian marginal communities while combining performances and films as the two subjects of the festival’s main foundations. The festival aspires to act as a representative for Indonesia’s marginal communities. \nWith cutting-edge screening programs for each of the festival’s categories\, the festival also aims to provide a platform for Indonesian filmmakers to showcase their films in Europe. Moreover\, each category will be accompanied by performances from Indonesian artists who reside in Europe as a critical and honest response towards each of the related issues. Growing up struggling with post-conflict trauma and seeking peace in their own way. Now they have become adults without having any education or training. Some of them rely on violence to earn money. 20 years after the Ambon conflict broke out\, how did the former combatants who used to be involved survive and get out of extremism? \nAmanda Valani is the Head of Signature Content of Narasi. Yannick studied film under the guidance of Prof. Pepe Danquart and Prof. Bernd Schoch at the HFBK University of Fine Arts in Hamburg. In 2020 he finished his studies with the graduation film Douglas\, a portrait of a Californian truck driver. Yannick lives and works in Hamburg. \nKITORANG BASUDARA (2015) — NINNDI RARAS\n→ Short Film / 30 min / english subtitles \nA story of how hard it is for Papuan students to find living spaces because their dorms are fully occupied. \nNinndi Raras is a director and producer at Studio Aduhai\, a production house based in Yogyakarta. His fourth film\, “Signs Of The Season” was also selected in the 2017 Jogja NETPAC Asian Film Festival and won the best film at the 2018 Australia Indonesia Cinema Festival. Her latest film\, Elinah\, was the official selection for the 2019 Amsterdam International Film Festival and the 2019 Cambodia International Film Festival. Elinah was also nominated for the best short film award at the 2019 Singapore International Film Festival. Ninndi has also been a film judge at the Kompas Gramedia Film Festival\, University of Indonesia Film Festival\, and the Puskat Film Festival. \nBENJAMIN'S WHISTLE (2000) — ARYO DANUSIRI\n→ Short Film / 13 min / english subtitles \nBenjamin loves the whistle sound and wannt be the market patron. Between admiration and hatred he deals with his own feeling by writing a letter to God.  \nAryo Danusiri assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Indonesia\, is a video artist and anthropologist active in Indonesia. An affiliate of the Sensory Ethnography Lab\, he holds a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology with Critical Media Practice from Harvard. These songs are the hope\, for a story that has been silenced for more than fifty years to get its voice back. \nSalahuddin Siregar made his first documentary work at the 2005 Eagle Award workshop organized by In-Docs and the national news television channel MetroTV. Family factors also influence her life. \nVena Besta Klaudina\, Born in Magelang\, 28 September 1996. Recently graduated from Syiah Kuala University\, Banda Aceh. Vena now lives with her parents in Sabang City. Involved as an actress in one of the short films entitled Replika Pulau Rubiah produced by VIU. Minor is his first documentary. \nTakziyah Nufus\, Born 1995\, graduated with a bachelor's degree from UIN Ar-Raniry majoring in Islamic Broadcasting Communication (KPI). Nufus and her friends also founded a film community called KOPIAH (Anneuk Aceh Film Community). But Svetlana’s narrative does not spare the details of the horror that happened in 1965 and 1966. She recalls her experience of being detained in a jail along with her mother and other siblings. She remembers seeing victims of brutal interrogation techniques being dragged back to their cells covered in blood on a daily basis. Svetlana was often instructed to clean up the interrogation room in the morning when it was not in use. They make it their home; they eat\, nap\, play\, and mate here while having to keep themselves safe from the excavators and bulldozers that plow around the site. Despite all the risks\, this practice has been around for many years as their owners save the trouble of looking for pasture and instead rely on human food waste to feed them. She is now running an initiative archival project Ingatan Visual\, recording daily life of people in West Sumatera\, Indonesia. During his search\, he meets a Chinese Indonesian woman who’s hiding from the masses. They end up sharing a journey through the night\, in hopes of getting back to their families. After a tense encounter with a group of rioters\, the driver fears his wife’s safety is not guaranteed and doubts his decision to help the woman. \nAndrew KOSE is a writer/director who has made short films across Jakarta\, Singapore\, Bangkok and Melbourne. He earned a Diploma in Broadcast Media from LASALLE College of the Arts Singapore and a Bachelor of Fine Art (Film and Television) from the Victorian College of the Arts\, Melbourne. In 2017\, he co-founded Pasar Malam Films\, a production house seeking to bring the revolutionary spirit of French and Taiwanese New Wave into their works. Andrew’s latest short film\, Sunny Side of the Street (2019)\, competed at the International Short Film Week Regensburg and SeaShorts Film Festival. The film has also received several recognitions across prestigious local film festivals in Indonesia such as Festival Film Indonesia\, Jogja Asian-Netpac Film Festival and Balinale. Andrew believes that a film should be both culturally specific yet humanly universal. Her documentaries have won awards and been shown in Indonesian and international film festivals. \nSHIN HUA (2020) — ERICK SUTANTO\n→ Short Documentary / 15 min / english subtitles \nShin Hua\, a well-known barbershop in Surabaya was first built in 1911 by siblings of 12. However\, Freddy was the only one who decided to take charge over their father’s company.  \nYears have went by and Freddy\, independently\, perseveres his hardworking passion for the barber shop. Although this company was a success\, this barbershop gradually discontinued unto the family’s descendants. Shin Hua begun losing their customers and went through bankruptcy. Despite the declining sales\, Freddy remains faithful to his work in the barber shop.  \nErick Sutanto born in Surabaya on November 30\, 2000\, is a dreamy student who is currently majoring in Film at Multimedia Nusantara University. According to him\, the film is a very powerful medium\, which can change the perspective and cause various feelings in the audience. Currently\, Erick is pursuing his part as a Director. Jason Iskandar is also listed as the founder of Studio Antelope\, along with producer Florence Giovani. In their journey they revisit different destinations expressed through sound and movement. Through this process they explore new perspectives on the meaning of identity\, home and belonging\, inspired by the artists´ versatile biographies. Fact-meets-fiction in a fresh interpretation that highlights the audio samples from the festivals´ artworks into a live happening through dance and music. A mind hack about becoming wholesome. \nBintang Manira Manik is a multi-instrumentalist focusing on hand percussion from Bandung\, Indonesia. Growing up in a visual & performing arts family\, in a non profit cultural center\, Jendela Ide\, he started to play music at the age of nine. Practicing Djembe\, Latin Percussion and Kendang Sunda an authentic percussion instrument from Indonesia. Recently finishing his 3 years scholarship under Indian Council of Cultural Relation (ICCR) at Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra\, New Delhi\, India\, majoring in Tabla and learned Dhrupad vocal and Tuvan throat singing. \nHe has been encountered with musician coming from diverse cultural backgrounds\, through workshops and residencies and become enamored with world music. Receiving Yamaha Music Award in Asia for his multi percussion composition & solo performance at the age of 17. Composed some electro ambient music combined with percussion. Developed and worked in collaboration with a Sundanese traditional progressive rock group Sound of Hanamangke - Indonesia and a world music group Trippy Sama - India. Conceiver and music director of Raag of Javadwipa and Cakravala Mandala Dvipantara\, which trace the history and cultural relation of Indonesian music. \nBeside creatively creating music and working in collaboration with choreographers\, theater directors and visual artist\, at the culture center developed by the family\, he teaches percussion for kids\, include special needs. \nBerlin based artist Ardian Hartono (born in Bogor Indonesia 1979) thrives in the space between. It is the intersection of energy and tension\, spontaneity and purpose\, self-expression and service\, the spiritual and the elemental. As a performer his passion – the essence of life itself – is cultivating the unpredictable. His exploration of body communication has led him to many places\, cultures\, teachings and experiences. The self-described teleporter has spent decades diving into dance\, theatre\, somatic work and martial arts. Siman is caught by guards and his tongue cut off. Siman goes through life in slow-motion imitating an astronaut in outer space\, labelled as crazy. \nYosep Anggi Noen is an Indonesian film director who's been experimenting with cinematic narratives since mid-2000s. Bor in Yogyakarta on 1983\, he studied Communications at the Socio-Politics Faculty of Yogyakarta's Gadjah Mada University. After directing and producing several short films\, he directed his first feature\, Peculiar Vacation and Other Ilnesses (2012)\, which premiered in Locarno International Film Festival. At Vancouver International Film Festival\, the film received the Special Mention Award followed by the Dragon and Tiger Award for Young Cinema. His next project\, a short film titled A Lady Caddy Who Never Saw a Hole in One (2013)\, won the Best Short Film at Busan International Film Festival and the the Grand Prix of Tokyo Short Shorts Film Festival. Solo\, Solitude (2016)—his second feature—premiered in the Concorso Cineasti del Presente Competition in Locarno International Film Festival. Dynamic of identities and personas are represented by an artistic reinterpretation of the drama triangle in a Wayang Golek performance. The question of the possibilities of female action competence and the power of redefining a self-image in relation to topics such as sexual harassment\,abuse of power\,disadvantage and discrimination are in the room during the entire performance. \nThe play is dedicated to the special relationship between audience and performer by involving the audience in the dilemmas of persecutor-victim-rescuer relationships throughout the play.The drama triangle is an effective psychological and social model of conflict resolution on the dynamics of recurring and ongoing conflicts. DESCRIPTION:Connecting artist and audience using intimate live sets through\, Hip Hop\, RnB\, Soul\, Afro Beats\, Dancehall Reggae and more. \nGet your tickets here \nThe Berlin Radio Show (TBRS) is a Berlin-based radio show centred around highlighting Hip Hop\, RnB\, Afrobeat\, Reggae\, Dancehall and Soul artists of the diaspora through conversations and discussions. The goal is to interview each artist about their passions\, influences\, backgrounds\, aspirations\, and more. We do this with the full intention of providing a platform for artist and their audience to connect deeper. \nHAVEN\, as its name suggest\, is a safe space for artists to showcase their skills and talent on stage in front of a live audience. HAVEN is an entity of Tones of Melanin TV which is a YouTube channel that focuses on health and healing within the Black and Indigenous People of Colour communities. We strive to hear the stories of individuals and heal through panel discussions\, yoga and reiki\, podcasts\, good news\, children’s stories\, party events such as HAVEN and much more. \nTBRS and HAVEN decided to team up to create the interview/ showcase platform which will provide the artist with more opportunities to gain traction for themselves and their music as well as get paid for their time \nOur passion is not only music but delving into the world of the artist behind the music. Set up as a small on-air talk show\, the invited guests have an opportunity to share themselves and their work with the world. The Berlin Radio Show goes live every Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm\, it is a part of the THF Radio platform where we live stream episodes of the show. All episodes are then uploaded to our SoundCloud page for more visibility after the show has been aired. \nAs a dynamic group of people that is passionate about music\, we are constantly expanding and creating new ways for artists to present their music and inspire others on our show\, hence\, the collaboration now between Tones of Melanin TV (HAVEN) and TBRS. \nWith this\, we plan to add a visual aspect recording the live shows and putting on YouTube creating a larger platform and audience for the artist to showcase their work. \nThe goal is to have a nice balance between music and conversation\, providing quality entertainment whilst allowing for the artist to stay true to their artform. \nGet your tickets here

DESCRIPTION:Manuscripts of Foreign Body(s)\, is a critical visual collective workshops-based project\, by Ahmad Baba and Michalina Mrozek\, proposing the approach of\, TLGBQIA+ bodies of color\, as manuscripts of duality; being sites of oppressions as well as sites of resilience. The project will be developed\, through organizing critical collective practices\, in two days intensive workshops\,“ Foreign intimacies Workshops Weekend “ on the 4th and 5th of September 2021 at Oyoun. \nThe workshops are platforms for experimenting and developing a communication mechanism\, from/to TQ BIPOC identifying individuals\, enhancing our own interpersonal relationships\, as well as how we can find a middle line for circulating experiences\, without judgement neither evaluation\, but more of sharing\, reflecting\, relating\, constructive criticism\, and developing something new. \nThe intimate collective workshops will invite QTBIPOC artists from different disciplines to come together and create a safe(r) space(s)\, for investigating bodies on different levels\, and bring forward narratives that speak to their own personal stories. Together we will develop a driving force that lacks in many spaces we exist in\, and see how we could focus on the discourses of resilience through the lens of our struggles\, and not the opposite. The workshops will emphasize on body politics approaches\, empowerment of bodies of color\, oneness and closeness\, and how bodies of color\, as sites of oppressions\, could develop a mechanism of defense without burning out one's mental capacities. \n*The workshops will be in English and translated into German\, Arabic and Polish. \nAnmeldung // Registration \nProgramme Saturday\n11-12:30 Decolonizing Embodiment Workshops (Dance Therapy)\nEverybody is a body\, but not everybody experiences their bodies in the same way. The intersection between race\, gender\, sexuality\, ethnicity construct our bodies and experiences that we didn’t have a choice on. The body(s)\, specifically of Color and Queer\, are at once sites of\, oppression\, resistance\, and resilience. So how can we experience embodiment with each other\, but most importantly with ourselves? And how does collective dancing or movement emphasize our individual experience(s) in our bodies and in relation to other bodies? In these series of workshops\, we will investigate body(s) from a therapeutic approach\, of how we can express what our bodies hold within\, from microaggressions to racism\, from resistance to empowerment\, so we can find our ways back to our body(s) through the movement cycles and the manifestations of our stories that we present through our body(s). \nThe workshops will go for two hours\, including an opening circle\, several interventions and a closure/reflection round ending the session. You don't need to have dance experiences. These workshops are a priority for QTBIPOC individuals\, and everybody else is welcome if they understand the space they are attending and their position in it. Through this workshop\, we will explore the experiences we’ve had with expression through our bodies\, look through the historical beauty and implications of living so unadulteratedly and using the dance form of ‘Vogue Femme’ from Ballroom culture\, which is a celebration of femininity and the allowance to be. How to envision and conceptualize your drag persona. From finding the right name\, experimentation with makeups and looks\, to composing your performance. Using drag as a way of analyzing the complexities of your identities\, twisting others' projections on you\, reclaiming the parts of you that are degraded by the dominant narrative of the society. Drag begins with acknowledging the foreignness of your body. Perceptions of gender presentation\, body shape\, skin color\, hair have an incredible influence on the way were socially perceived\, and by consequence\, desired. For people of color and trans people\, these perceptions frame all your sex experiences and often creates layers of trauma that stop you to allowing yourself to new experiences. Desires are not natural\, they’re learned. There is no such a thing as “preferences”\, desire is thought and desire is a product of the experience. For BDSM practitioners and kinksters in general\, desire can be a very tricky topic. Who’s DOM and WHO’S sub? Are some folks socially perceived as sub and others as DOM? What does being a top and being a bottom mean? What is a power bottom or a submissive top? The same way I believe gender is not a stationary state\, neither are sexual roles. I believe we’re all tied up in several social ropes and can only move in certain ways. THE DESIRE LAB is a workshop shaped as a round of discussion\, where attendants are encouraged to speak up about how we wish we were desired as we see ourselves and study them together. Die Karriere eines Feindbildes“ erscheint am 6.September 2021 bei Edition Körber. \n\nDie Moderatorin: Alice Hasters wurde 1989 in Köln geboren. Sie arbeitet und lebt als freie Autorin in Berlin. In München studierte sie Journalismus an der Ludwig-Maximilian-Universität und an der Deutschen Journalistenschule. Anschließend arbeitete Hasters u. a. für die Tagesschau und den RBB. Mittlerweile moderiert sie die Sendung Einhundert – Stories mit Alice Hasters auf Deutschlandfunk Nova. Mit Maxi Häcke gründete sie den monatlichen erscheinenden Podcast Feuer&Brot\, indem sie über Feminismus und Popkultur sprechen. Ihr erstes Buch „Was weiße Menschen nicht über Rassismus hören wollen\, aber wissen sollten“ erschien 2019 bei hanseblau. \n\nDer DJ: Zuher aka xanax_attax hat 2018 als DJ angefangen. Er war wurde vom queer-feministischen Kollektix PxssyPalace in London ausgebildet\, von dem er Teil war. Zuher legte von da an vor allem Arabischen 80er\, 90er und 2000er Popmusik auf: Nancy Ajram\, Haifa Wahbe oder Elissa.
