References to a techno-utopia where knowledge would be available to each and all seemed to signal the possibility of positive social and cultural change while acknowledging a fundamental flaw. Digital technologies’ commitment to making knowledge accessible to all would supposedly produce a universal benefit and wellbeing which was partly realised but digital technologies did in no way result in a techno-utopia. It has become apparent that besides letting vast amounts of knowledge accessible to ever more people\, digital technologies are also powerful tools producing a peculiar kind of public ignorance\, one that seems to proliferate amidst ever multiplying information and knowledge available in today’s digitalised environment. DESCRIPTION:► a'21: Exchanges Through The Silk Road_DAHproject \n:: ABOUT THIS EVENT (EN/AR) :: \nLiving in the Middle East region and some parts around it can feel as if you're being held in a euphoric state in a moment\, just as it can feel as you're left floating in some kind of vacuum in another. the more this realm embraces you in its mysterious sky and soil the more you'll find yourself deciphering. a piece of poetry generously returns you to yourself reflecting on its ranges and fields. middle East has been trading since ancient times. but today the exchange of information is taking a new route. the great silk route has been replaced by colourful digital platforms that tend to help us in the transference of our information\, apps that try to impress us and are mostly designed to ease us down and even perhaps calmly and slowly change our lives in particular ways. SUMMARY:Gen Z Dialogues – an online exploration of vulnerability and collaboration
DESCRIPTION:Gen Z is coming of age in a time of sociopolitical and ecological crises\, gathered in online spaces that leave many overwhelmed and paralysed. Our exposure to crowded Social Media platforms causes\, more often than not\, disengagement and news-fatigue\, paired with insecurities around self-image. Which story does Gen Z tell together? How do they navigate online spaces between education\, empowerment and exposure? And what is the power of vulnerability? \nGen Z Dialogues explores online dialogues as spaces for vulnerability\, creativity and empathy\, zooming in on diverse\, international Gen Z voices. Naomi Hattler has captured intimate and authentically documented video dialogues revolving around the theme of vulnerability and the potential of all-pervasive connectivity as a young generation. These dialogues have come together in an artistic research platform exploring the creative potential and possibilities of engaging in online dialogues. Gen Z Dialogues has evolved into an international network of co-creators from Spain\, Canada\, Ukraine\, Indonesia\, Belgium\, the Netherlands\, Poland\, Sweden and Germany that was merely built through online communication. The conversations touch upon topics such as gender identities\, toxic competition\, social activism and empowerment. The socially-engaged project inspires urgent discourse and gives impulses to rethink daily online interaction. \nIn an interactive Zoom event\, Naomi Hattler shows her graduation work\, accompanied by an interactive program with two guest speakers and discussion participants from artistic and (queer-feminist) activist backgrounds.

 \nComing from an interdisciplinary arts background\, Naomi Hattler is a maker and project leader who emphasizes a critical and engaged approach in honest conversations beyond the formal interview format. This is as important to her as daring to follow a fascination without planning the artistic outcome. For Naomi\, the creation of art is to engage with her own visions and stories\, with those of others through an almost journalistic approach and with the bigger discourses and pressing questions that surround us. By portraying different perspectives and putting them alongside each other\, she hopes to offer space for inspiration and reflection. 
 \nFor her current graduation project on Generation Z - her generation - Naomi is exploring the potential of vulnerability to create meaningful online interaction and mutual empowerment. Against the background of the Anthropocene\, she senses a big urgency to look beyond the comfort zone and to explore the meaning of community and cooperation today as individual actions that are increasingly intertwined with a collective responsibility. Naomi is particularly interested in exploring how far the enormous connectivity within her generation contributes to a shift in how Gen Z - as a collaborating\, global community - takes on responsibility for their common future.

Welche Erinnerungen können uns unsere Körper erzählen? - über uns selbst\, unsere Vergangenheit und unsere Zukunft? Kurator*innen\, Künstler*innen und Kulturschaffende setzen sich mit Identitäten\, Zugehörigkeit und verkörperten Erinnerungen aus diasporischen\, dekolonialen und queeren Perspektiven auseinander. Ilk عِلْق stellt eine queere arabisch-muslimische Zukunftsvision vor\, die Heilung bewirkt. \n„Go Find Me“ ist ein digitales Archiv Schwarzer Trans-Menschen entwickelt von der Schwarzen trans Künstlerin Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley. Mittels Videospiel-Ästhetik und -Technologien will sie Aufmerksamkeit auf die Erfahrungen Schwarzer Transfrauen lenken und\, allgemeiner\, Schwarze Trans-Erfahrungen archivieren. \nIm Turm von Oyoun präsentiert der Künstler-Aktivist Sujatro Ghosh die Ausstellung Geography of Hate als Höhepunkt des gleichnamigen Projektes\, das Hass als Werkzeug für systematische Gewalt und Othering hinterfragt. Die Ausstellung umfasst Objekte\, Performance-Videos\, einen Dokumentarfilm und eine immersive Projektion und wurde von Sujatro Ghosh mit Arijit Bhattacharyya (Künstler\, Kurator und Aktivist) kuratiert. \nMirage ist eine Performance-Intervention von Avril Stormy Unger in einem gehobenen Einkaufszentrum in Bangalore\, Indien\, die strukturelle Ungleichheiten beim Zugang zu Grundbedürfnissen wie Gesundheitsversorgung und sauberem Wasser offenlegt\, wird im Oyoun als Video vorgeführt. \nD.C.A.D.V: Exocé Kasongo stellt die Arbeiten aus seiner Künstlerresidenz bei Oyoun aus\, darunter ein neue Serie von Collagen\, eine neue\, von ihm entworfene und von Soulaymane Mare geschneiderte Bekleidungslinie\, sowie drei Videos - Inspiration\, Behind the Scenes und Zola - gedreht von Etsuki Usui. \nAscension ist ein von Dr. Maiada Aboud kuratiertes Dauerprojekt über Gender\, Weiblichkeit und Menstruation. 4 einzelne Performances\, die eine ähnliche Struktur\, Sound\, Hintergrundeinstellungen und die Farbe (schwarz oder rot und weiß) teilen\, werden durch 4 separate Fenster präsentiert. \nAncestral Body Noise: Rituals of Real(ese) war ein feierlicher Abschluss des interkulturellen Heilungs-Inkubators\, geleitet von der Kulturforscherin\, Future-Folk-Musikerin und lebenslangen psycho-spirituellen Studentin Gugulethu 'Dumama' Duma. You can view a collective journal from the participants in the exhibition. \nWith Ilk عِلْق\, Ahmad Baba investigates queerness from a queer Arab perspective\, tracking the roots of queer lives lived in Arabic and Muslim societies going back centuries. Ilk عِلْق sets out a queer Arab Muslim futuristic vision\, that starts with healing through rewriting histories on one’s own terms. \n“Go Find Me” is a digital archive of Black Trans existence created by the Black trans artist\, Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley. Through video game aesthetics and technologies\, she  aims to bring to the forefront the experiences of Black trans women and\, more generally\, to archive the Black trans experience.  \nIn the Tower of Oyoun\, the artist-activist Sujatro Ghosh presents the exhibition Geography of Hate as a culmination of his project of the same name\, which questions hate as a tool for systematic violence and otherisation. The exhibition includes objects\, performance videos\, a documentary\, and an immersive projection work\, curated by Sujatro Ghosh with Arijit Bhattacharyya (artist\, curator and activist). \nMirage is a performance intervention by Avril Stormy Unger at an upmarket mall in Bangalore\, India\, highlighting structural inequalities in accessing basic necessities such as healthcare and clean water\, is screened at Oyoun in a video format. \nD.C.A.D.V: Exocé Kasongo exhibits the outcomes of his artist residency at Oyoun\, which include a new series of collages\, complemented by a new clothing line designed by him and tailored by Soulaymane Mare and three videos shot by Etsuki Usui - Inspiration\, Behind the Scenes and Zola. \nAscension is a durational project curated by Dr. Maiada Aboud about gender\, femininity and menstruation. Four individual performances which share a similar structure\, sound\, background settings and the color (black or red and white) are presented through four separate windows. \nAncestral Body Noise: Rituals of Real(ese) concluded and honoured an intercultural healing incubator curated and facilitated by cultural researcher\, future-folk musician and life-long psycho-spiritual student\, Gugulethu ‘Dumama’ Duma. SUMMARY:Lucy Lameck  x Sonic In(ter)ventions
DESCRIPTION:Replacing monuments and renaming streets is an emancipatory and liberatory act of our time. Lucy Lameck x Sonic In(ter)ventions is a global amplification act and artistic witness for Berlin's historic street renaming: "Wissmannstraße" turned "Lucy-Lameck Straße". At the intersection of art\, music\, and healing justice\, Out of Time Embassy (OOTE) produces their first public project in dedication to Lameck\, an anticolonial activist and one of the first female cabinet members in Tanzania's post-independence government. Hosted by Oyoun and supported by Musicboard Berlin\, OOTE brings together decolonial activists in a series of panel discussions\, screened interviews from the Lucy Lameck Neighborhood\, and ritualistic concerts of global trance musics that support liberatory and resistance movements\, as Sonic In(ter)ventions. \nOut of Time Embassy (OOTE) maintains the responsibility of representation and empowerment. Lucy Lameck x Sonic In(ter)ventions explores changes in Berlin's history by opening discussions on memory politics\, cultural exchange\, and honouring the city's legacy of migration. As culture makes important contributions to politics and often swells the tides of change\, OOTE chooses to demonstrate and celebrate the spectrum of decolonial urban practices. As cultural workers responding to the times with community building\, Out of Time Embassy (OOTE) consciously meld together sound and healing to form sessions of high-energy improvisation. Spaces are reimagined as interactive meditation sites for historical excavation\, archival protest\, and creative processing. Open and free artistic expressions are cultivated with an intention of decentralizing and celebrating the knowledge production process through action based art forms such as dance and music. \nOOTE is a collective that emerged out of a pure necessity to create and build community. It is a multicultural group of curators producing conversation and curiosity about art and culture and civic engagement\, meditating on local and global impacts of cultural work. OOTE embodies an international unity for seemingly disparate worlds\, building bridges and creating safe(r) spaces for expression to be cultivated and nurtured. Así\, estas reuniones representan un ejercicio de memoria colectiva y la experiencia personal de la migración se transforma de problemática individual a colectiva dentro de la comunidad. \nEn el primer encuentro nos haremos preguntas como ¿quiénes fueron aquellos familiares y qué sabemos acerca de su exilio en Latinoamérica? ¿Por qué decidimos retornar a Alemania? ¿Cómo es nuestra experiencia actual como migrantes? These different topics translate into the categories of the festival: dare to be conscious\, dare to be different\, dare to be east\, dare to be equal\, dare to be oneself! \nThe festival takes place over 14 days at three different venues: Oyoun - Lucy-Lameck-Str. 32\, 12049 Berlin\, District Berlin - Bessemerstraße 2\, 12103 Berlin\, and Ana Conda am Ufer - Uferstr. 23 c/o Uferstudios\, 13357 Berlin. The program ranges from the screening of Indonesian films to performances by Indonesian diaspora artists and public discourses. \nFor programme details and tickets see: kaumfestival.soydivision.berlin \n  \n--- \nThe word KAUM in the Indonesian language means a “clan” or a “community”\, while in German\, it means “barely” or even “marginally”.  \nWith its more than 13 thousand islands throughout the archipelago\, Indonesia is blessed with diverse clans/communities\, each with its own distinctive culture. However\, as a nation that claims “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika” (Unity in Diversity) as its official national motto\, Indonesia still faces segregation within its diverse society: there exist the marginalized and the minority. Some of the marginalized choose to flee the country in the hope of finding a better future elsewhere. However\, geographically escaping the space does not mean solving the issues\, as it has veritably ingrained and became a part of one’s identity. \nSoydivision is a Berlin-based independent alternative Indonesian diaspora collective with a mission to provoke a discussion about the exploration and the expression of identity through art and food. Reflecting on the issue of marginalized communities\, Soydivision was inspired to expand its calling to create a platform and space for the underrepresented in a hybrid form of a performance and film festival: KAUM - Indonesian Alternative Performance & Film Festival. \nPerformance is the breath of Soydivision as a collective. It is often used as a medium to express the community’s concerns and to channel our responses to issues mainly related to social and climate injustice. Established and founded in 2017\, Soydivision has been growing ever since\, allowing the community’s family to expand\, as it gets to meet and collaborate with other Indonesian and Asian diasporas\, who share similar interests and backgrounds: from students\, fellow artists\, performers\, musicians to filmmakers. We believe that we can find more innovative yet sustainable methods from these diverse universes and connections to impact and attract new audiences. \nLike two sides of a coin\, we see performance and film as two fundamentally interconnected parts\, as they essentially carry the same notion and share similar purposes - to convey emotions. With film\, the emotions are often channeled through live-action storytelling that is documented through a lens based on the actual space. On the other side\, the act of performance originated and is processed internally before it is tangibly and presently expressed\, regardless of where the scene occurs. \nBased on this view\, this alternative festival aims to cultivate and preserve diverse\, underrepresented  Indonesian voices to advance in Europe. The festival showcases several main categories covering some of the underlying issues of Indonesian marginal communities while combining performances and films as the two subjects of the festival’s main foundations. The festival aspires to act as a representative for Indonesia’s marginal communities. \nWith cutting-edge screening programs for each of the festival’s categories\, the festival also aims to provide a platform for Indonesian filmmakers to showcase their films in Europe. Moreover\, each category will be accompanied by performances from Indonesian artists who reside in Europe as a critical and honest response towards each of the related issues. Thousands of children under the age of 10-15 years were forced into conflict. Not a few children involved in the war eventually grew up without assistance. Growing up struggling with post-conflict trauma and seeking peace in their own way. Now they have become adults without having any education or training. Some of them rely on violence to earn money. 20 years after the Ambon conflict broke out\, how did the former combatants who used to be involved survive and get out of extremism? \nAmanda Valani is the Head of Signature Content of Narasi. She produces a range of edutainment and news content including documentary with various social issues and approach. Amanda received a Master of Arts in Screen Documentary from Goldsmiths University of London\, UK. She also has received a number of awards for her journalistic works over the years\, including The London Human Rights Watch Film Festival for her own individual documentary that focused on gender issue in 2014. \nBOATS (2016) — YANNICK KAFTAN\n→ Short Documentary / 14 min / english subtitles \nWangi-Wangi Island\, Wakatobi. Two boats. Fishermen from the Bajo village Mola follow their daily business. On this day they are stuck in the middle of the sea. The sun is blazing. The motor needs to be fixed. Who can help out? On another boat\, two women on their way to the market delivering fish. BOATS was produced in 2016 as a part of the film exchange project 5 Islands/ 5 Villages funded and organized by the Goethe-Institute Jakarta. \nYannick Kaftan was born 1990 in Munich. Yannick studied film under the guidance of Prof. Pepe Danquart and Prof. Bernd Schoch at the HFBK University of Fine Arts in Hamburg. In 2020 he finished his studies with the graduation film Douglas\, a portrait of a Californian truck driver. Ninndi started making films when she joined the 56 Films community in Yogyakarta which was founded by the Yosep Anggi Noen and BW Purbanegara (film director). The first short film “Rahasia” was selected at the 2011 Indonesian Film Festival. His second short film “Gula-Gula Usia” was selected for the Jogja NETPAC Asian Film Festival 2014. Her latest film\, Elinah\, was the official selection for the 2019 Amsterdam International Film Festival and the 2019 Cambodia International Film Festival. Elinah was also nominated for the best short film award at the 2019 Singapore International Film Festival. Ninndi has also been a film judge at the Kompas Gramedia Film Festival\, University of Indonesia Film Festival\, and the Puskat Film Festival. \nBENJAMIN'S WHISTLE (2000) — ARYO DANUSIRI\n→ Short Film / 13 min / english subtitles \nBenjamin loves the whistle sound and wannt be the market patron. Nufus and her friends also founded a film community called KOPIAH (Anneuk Aceh Film Community). In addition\, Nufus has been involved in several film productions with Aceh filmmakers\, one of which is the production of a short film with VIU and became a director for the first time in a documentary entitled "MINOR".a documentary entitled "MINOR". a documentary entitled "MINOR". \nA DAUGHTER'S MEMORY (2019) — KARTIKA PRATIWI\n→ Short Animation / 10 min / english subtitles \nThrough Svetlana’s narratives\, Njoto\, who is remembered in Indonesia’s history as a PKI leader\, became another figure – a patient father who taught his daughter how to use the typewriter\, for example. But Svetlana’s narrative does not spare the details of the horror that happened in 1965 and 1966. She recalls her experience of being detained in a jail along with her mother and other siblings. She remembers seeing victims of brutal interrogation techniques being dragged back to their cells covered in blood on a daily basis. Svetlana was often instructed to clean up the interrogation room in the morning when it was not in use. Here she saw traces of torture\, such as the stingray tail and the floor covered with blood. \nKartika Pratiwi is a long time independent researcher with an interest in narrative discourse on the mass violence in Indonesia\, oral history\, and human rights issues\, and accomplished media activist with 12 years’ experience in the use of video\, digital story\, collective memory and alternative media for social change. She has been a part of kotakhitam Forum for 12 years and was part of EngageMedia for more than 3 years\, independent organizations focus on research\, workshops\, digital security\, documentary video project and impact production. \nPratiwi currently develop my project "(Re)writing Indonesian Mass Killings of 1965 in the Digital Age". The stage is occupied\, almost in complete silence by minimal set and three actors seeking attention from masculine intimacy. \nKelvin Atmadibrata (b.1988\, Jakarta\, Indonesia) recruits superpowers awakened by puberty and adolescent fantasy. Equipped by shōnen characters\, kōhai hierarchy and macho ero-kawaii\, he often personifies power and strength into partially canon and fan fiction antiheroes to contest the masculine meta and erotica of Southeast Asia. \nHe works primarily with performances\, often accompanied by and translated into drawings\, mixed media collages and objects compiled as installations. Approached as bricolages\, Kelvin translates narratives and recreates personifications based on RPGs (Role-playing video games) theories and pop mythologies. Bagus hopes the music can be an inspiration for the younger generation to keep protecting nature. \nChairun Nissa (Ilun) has directed a number of fiction films and documentaries with various issues. Since 2015\, with Sedap Films\, the production house she founded with her two colleagues\, Wini Angraeni and Sastha Sunu\, she has produced innovative and inclusive works that make film not only an art form\, but also capable of inspiring and driving change. Two of his documentaries released in 2020 are titled “Semes7a” and “Mother Earth”. \nDIARY OF CATTLE (2019)— LIDIA AFRILITA & DAVID DARMADI \n→ Short Documentary / 17 min / english subtitles \nEvery morning hundreds of cows are herded to a landfill site. They make it their home; they eat\, nap\, play\, and mate here while having to keep themselves safe from the excavators and bulldozers that plow around the site. If not careful\, a cow might lose its life here\, killed by the heavy machines or trapped under tons of trash. Despite all the risks\, this practice has been around for many years as their owners save the trouble of looking for pasture and instead rely on human food waste to feed them. While some cows are lucky enough to have a barn to return to in the afternoon\, some have to spend the night here because the owner lives far away from the site. Regardless\, all these rubbish-eating cows will share the same destiny under the butcher’s knife. \nDavid Darmadi is a filmmaker currently based in Padang\, West Sumatera. His work has screened at international festivals such as Europe On Screen\, OK.Video Jakarta International Video Festival\, Documentary Film Festival Jogjakarta\, Australia\, ReelOzInd Australia\, Indonesia Short Film Competition and Festival\, ARKIPEL – Jakarta International Documentary and Experimental Film Festival\, Images Festival Toronto\, and Aarhus Kunstbygning Center Denmark. Her film Diary of Cattle won at IF/Then Short pitching competition in 2018 and won best short documentary at Indonesian Film Festival\, NETPAC Jogja\, Festival Internacional de Cine Medioambiental de Canarias\, and student award at Cinematerre in France. She is now running an initiative archival project Ingatan Visual\, recording daily life of people in West Sumatera\, Indonesia. Currently\, she is working on her next short documentary which was pitched at Good Pitch Indonesia\, and developed at AsiaDOC\, and American Film Showcase. \nONE OF THOSE MURDER (2019) — JERRY HADIPROJO\n→ Short Film / 10 min / english subtitles \nTwo janitors found a body of a dead woman. But in this digital age\, priority flexed. \nJerry has been making home videos since he was 7 years old. In high school\, exposure to American independent cinema makes him want to be a film director. He earned a Diploma in Broadcast Media from LASALLE College of the Arts Singapore and a Bachelor of Fine Art (Film and Television) from the Victorian College of the Arts\, Melbourne. In 2017\, he co-founded Pasar Malam Films\, a production house seeking to bring the revolutionary spirit of French and Taiwanese New Wave into their works. Andrew’s latest short film\, Sunny Side of the Street (2019)\, competed at the International Short Film Week Regensburg and SeaShorts Film Festival. The film has also received several recognitions across prestigious local film festivals in Indonesia such as Festival Film Indonesia\, Jogja Asian-Netpac Film Festival and Balinale. Andrew believes that a film should be both culturally specific yet humanly universal. He takes inspiration from ordinary people around him in the subtle yet complex stories of urban life in Jakarta. \nAKAR (2013) — AMELIA HAPSARI\n→ Short Documentary / 23 min / english subtitles \nWhen I was little there was a dream that kept coming to scare me. She is also part of a Southeast Asian network for documentary filmmakers called DocNet Southeast Asia. Her documentaries have won awards and been shown in Indonesian and international film festivals. \nSHIN HUA (2020) — ERICK SUTANTO\n→ Short Documentary / 15 min / english subtitles \nShin Hua\, a well-known barbershop in Surabaya was first built in 1911 by siblings of 12. However\, Freddy was the only one who decided to take charge over their father’s company.  \nYears have went by and Freddy\, independently\, perseveres his hardworking passion for the barber shop. Although this company was a success\, this barbershop gradually discontinued unto the family’s descendants. Shin Hua begun losing their customers and went through bankruptcy. Despite the declining sales\, Freddy remains faithful to his work in the barber shop.  \nErick Sutanto born in Surabaya on November 30\, 2000\, is a dreamy student who is currently majoring in Film at Multimedia Nusantara University. According to him\, the film is a very powerful medium\, which can change the perspective and cause various feelings in the audience. Currently\, Erick is pursuing his part as a Director. Besides films\, he also loves music which he then implements into his films\, to bring a certain nuance. His vision in every work created is how he conveys his voice\, through every message and elements contained in every scene \nANGPAO (2020) — STEFANUS CANCAN\n→ Short Film / 17 min / english subtitles \nTo get Angpao on Chinese New Year\, MICHAEL (8) has to memorize the calls of each family member. Thanks to his efforts\, he gets a lot of Angpao . But Michael wasn’t satisfied because his rival\, ROGER (10)\, received more Angpao than him from a MYSTERIOUS MAN (45) whom Michael doesn’t know. Michael tries to find a way to get Angpao from the Mysterious Man.  \nStefanus Cancan\, a director and one of the founders of Kelas Cancan - an organization that focuses on equal distribution of film and videography education throughout Indonesia. Cancan just won an award as The Best National Director at the Lampung Film Festival. In addition to various national film festivals\, the films he directed also have screened at international film festivals in several countries\, such as the United Kingdom\, Nigeria\, and India. His latest film\, "Angpao" has passed as the official selection and now currently competing at the Minikino Film Week 7\, Bali International Film Festival in the National Competition category. \nLANGIT MASIH GEMURUH (2015) — JASON ISKANDAR\n→ Short Film / 10 min / english subtitles \nJakarta\, Indonesia - May 1998\, during two days of mass violence\, rioters killed thousands of people\, most of Chinese descent. A single Chinese-Indonesian mother struggles to save her family as the riot rises near their neighbourhood. But for her 8 years old daughter\, that was the day the sky roared.  \nJason Iskandar was born in Jakarta\, February 1\, 1991. As a child he watched Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park and since then he has aspired to become a film director. He started his directing career when he was 17 years old. Jason Iskandar is also listed as the founder of Studio Antelope\, along with producer Florence Giovani. In their journey they revisit different destinations expressed through sound and movement. Through this process they explore new perspectives on the meaning of identity\, home and belonging\, inspired by the artists´ versatile biographies. Fact-meets-fiction in a fresh interpretation that highlights the audio samples from the festivals´ artworks into a live happening through dance and music. A mind hack about becoming wholesome. \nBintang Manira Manik is a multi-instrumentalist focusing on hand percussion from Bandung\, Indonesia. Growing up in a visual & performing arts family\, in a non profit cultural center\, Jendela Ide\, he started to play music at the age of nine. Practicing Djembe\, Latin Percussion and Kendang Sunda an authentic percussion instrument from Indonesia. Recently finishing his 3 years scholarship under Indian Council of Cultural Relation (ICCR) at Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra\, New Delhi\, India\, majoring in Tabla and learned Dhrupad vocal and Tuvan throat singing. \nHe has been encountered with musician coming from diverse cultural backgrounds\, through workshops and residencies and become enamored with world music. Receiving Yamaha Music Award in Asia for his multi percussion composition & solo performance at the age of 17. Composed some electro ambient music combined with percussion. Developed and worked in collaboration with a Sundanese traditional progressive rock group Sound of Hanamangke - Indonesia and a world music group Trippy Sama - India. Conceiver and music director of Raag of Javadwipa and Cakravala Mandala Dvipantara\, which trace the history and cultural relation of Indonesian music. \nBeside creatively creating music and working in collaboration with choreographers\, theater directors and visual artist\, at the culture center developed by the family\, he teaches percussion for kids\, include special needs. \nBerlin based artist Ardian Hartono (born in Bogor Indonesia 1979) thrives in the space between. It is the intersection of energy and tension\, spontaneity and purpose\, self-expression and service\, the spiritual and the elemental. As a performer his passion – the essence of life itself – is cultivating the unpredictable. His exploration of body communication has led him to many places\, cultures\, teachings and experiences. The self-described teleporter has spent decades diving into dance\, theatre\, somatic work and martial arts. Every mentor\, collaborator or creation a waypoint on his journey of awakening\, encapsulating his fascination for storytelling\, ritualism\, symbolism and mysticism. Siman is caught by guards and his tongue cut off. Siman goes through life in slow-motion imitating an astronaut in outer space\, labelled as crazy. \nYosep Anggi Noen is an Indonesian film director who's been experimenting with cinematic narratives since mid-2000s. Bor in Yogyakarta on 1983\, he studied Communications at the Socio-Politics Faculty of Yogyakarta's Gadjah Mada University. After directing and producing several short films\, he directed his first feature\, Peculiar Vacation and Other Ilnesses (2012)\, which premiered in Locarno International Film Festival. At Vancouver International Film Festival\, the film received the Special Mention Award followed by the Dragon and Tiger Award for Young Cinema. His next project\, a short film titled A Lady Caddy Who Never Saw a Hole in One (2013)\, won the Best Short Film at Busan International Film Festival and the the Grand Prix of Tokyo Short Shorts Film Festival. Solo\, Solitude (2016)—his second feature—premiered in the Concorso Cineasti del Presente Competition in Locarno International Film Festival. Two years later\, his short film\, Ballad of Blood and Two White Bucket s( 2018)\, premiered in Toronto International Film Festival. His latest feature\, The Science of Fictions (2019)\, will have world\npremiere in Concorco Internationale of Locarno International Film Festival. \nPERFORMANCE\nAYUNA TRIED TO LIGHT THE VOID — GHALIZ HARIS & RIAKO NAPITUPULU\n→ Performance/ 60 min / english (20:00 – 21:00) \nIn this collaboration \, Ghaliz Haris and Riako Napitupulu examine dilemmas in persecutor-victim-rescuer relationships based on various experiences from an Indonesian-German diasporic perspective. Dynamic of identities and personas are represented by an artistic reinterpretation of the drama triangle in a Wayang Golek performance. The question of the possibilities of female action competence and the power of redefining a self-image in relation to topics such as sexual harassment\,abuse of power\,disadvantage and discrimination are in the room during the entire performance. \nThe play is dedicated to the special relationship between audience and performer by involving the audience in the dilemmas of persecutor-victim-rescuer relationships throughout the play.The drama triangle is an effective psychological and social model of conflict resolution on the dynamics of recurring and ongoing conflicts. There are numerous historical and current examples of these dramas\, which continue to this day. \nGhaliz is an indonesian artist currently studying event technology and management at beuth university of applied science berlin. DESCRIPTION:Connecting artist and audience using intimate live sets through\, Hip Hop\, RnB\, Soul\, Afro Beats\, Dancehall Reggae and more. \nGet your tickets here \nThe Berlin Radio Show (TBRS) is a Berlin-based radio show centred around highlighting Hip Hop\, RnB\, Afrobeat\, Reggae\, Dancehall and Soul artists of the diaspora through conversations and discussions. The goal is to interview each artist about their passions\, influences\, backgrounds\, aspirations\, and more. We do this with the full intention of providing a platform for artist and their audience to connect deeper. \nHAVEN\, as its name suggest\, is a safe space for artists to showcase their skills and talent on stage in front of a live audience. HAVEN is an entity of Tones of Melanin TV which is a YouTube channel that focuses on health and healing within the Black and Indigenous People of Colour communities. We strive to hear the stories of individuals and heal through panel discussions\, yoga and reiki\, podcasts\, good news\, children’s stories\, party events such as HAVEN and much more. \nTBRS and HAVEN decided to team up to create the interview/ showcase platform which will provide the artist with more opportunities to gain traction for themselves and their music as well as get paid for their time \nOur passion is not only music but delving into the world of the artist behind the music. Set up as a small on-air talk show\, the invited guests have an opportunity to share themselves and their work with the world. The Berlin Radio Show goes live every Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm\, it is a part of the THF Radio platform where we live stream episodes of the show. All episodes are then uploaded to our SoundCloud page for more visibility after the show has been aired. \nAs a dynamic group of people that is passionate about music\, we are constantly expanding and creating new ways for artists to present their music and inspire others on our show\, hence\, the collaboration now between Tones of Melanin TV (HAVEN) and TBRS. \nWith this\, we plan to add a visual aspect recording the live shows and putting on YouTube creating a larger platform and audience for the artist to showcase their work. \nThe goal is to have a nice balance between music and conversation\, providing quality entertainment whilst allowing for the artist to stay true to their artform. \nGet your tickets here
