DESCRIPTION:Der Verlust von Land\, die Suche nach Sicherheit und die Suche nach Raum für Trauer. \nDer Verlust von Land führt zu einem andauernden Trauerprozess. Das Bedürnis der betroffenen Menschen nach einem Ort\, an dem angemessen getrauert und Sicherheit gefunden werden kann\, ist groß.\nAuf der Suche nach Vertrautheit durch Menschen\, Erfahrungen und Sprache entsteht jedoch ein Teufelskreis aus unvollständiger Trauer und unbeantworteten Fragen.\nNachdem ihnen ihr Land beraubt wurde\, halten sich Menschen dort auf\, an dem zumindest die Geschichte des Landes weitergeführt und eine Vision als letzte Verbindung zu dem bewahrt werden kann\, was von dem Wesen übrig geblieben ist. \nDieses Konzept wirft die Frage nach Heimat und Zugehörigkeit auf\, eine Frage\, die untrennbar mit Freiheit\, Gerechtigkeit und Macht verbunden ist. \nDa diese Ausstellung Teil der Konferenz "Artificial intelligence and journalism in the Global South" ist\, sind Künstler*innen dazu eingeladen\, durch multimediale Beiträge Kunstwerke zu schaffen\, die KI-Werkzeuge in irgendeiner Form in ihren kreativen Prozess einbeziehen oder über sie reflektieren (indem sie sie verwenden\, sie kritisieren usw.).\nDenn KI ist ein unvermeidlich vorherrschendes Werkzeug bei der Gestaltung unserer Wahrnehmung der Realität. \nIhr seid herzlich zur Eröffnung der Ausstellung am 08.12.2023 von 18:00 h bis 22:00 h eingeladen. \nTicket: FREIER EINTRITT! \nSprache: Englisch + Arabisch \n \nBiografien \nMENA Art Gallery \nMENA ist eine Online-Galerie\, deren Ziel es ist\, die lebendigste und einzigartigste Kunst des Nahen Ostens und Nordafrikas einer breiten Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen. DESCRIPTION:Voice workshop for resistance and restitution | Organised by Jamila and Pro \nJamila and Pro offer a voice workshop for resistance and restitution. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to sing and exchange songs from anti-colonial and anti-fascist resistance movements that you grew up with or that you composed yourself. Jamila and Pro invite participants to bring one or two songs or sing fragments. Together they will stitch a fabric of many resistance songs as a sonic collage and keep it as a record and archive of joint struggles. \nTickets: Donation-based | first come\, first served\nLanguage: English\nRoom: Kahina\n \nBiographies \nJamila Al-Yousef \nJamila Al-Yousef is a singer\, festival curator\, and cultural activist from Berlin. Inspired by her Palestinian father who came to Germany as a refugee\, she early started creating postcolonial projects to share diverse perspectives on West Asia and North Africa. Amongst other she established the Arab* Underground program at Fusion Festival. Since 2019 Jamila works as a trainer and consultant in the field of Empowerment\, Powersharing & Racism Critical Cultural Work at diverse Universities and cultural institutions. "Meshwar Mixtapes" is a listening sessions series spotlighting music from countries in the global south. DESCRIPTION:Organised by Jüdische Stimme + Pa_allies \nFilm screening followed by a talk by Dr. Anna-Esther Younes\, Salah Said (Pa_allies)\, Udi Raz (Jüdische Stimme) \nThe NGO "Breaking the Silence" - BtS for short - is made up of former Israeli servicemen and women who want to draw attention to everyday military life and the treatment of the population in the occupied territories by collecting personal memoirs. With her film\, director Silvina Landsmann provides a look behind the scenes of a controversial group with a controversial approach in the midst of a conflict that has been smouldering for over 70 years. \nWhat makes a good soldier? The ability to follow orders without scruples or the consideration of higher moral goals when dealing with the enemy? For many members of BtS\, the latter was only possible after their active military service. In their work\, they deal with missions and actions that seem wrong to them today. They address the Israeli population and foreign media with videos\, lectures and city tours. On the streets of Hebron\, there are repeated clashes between BtS\, Israeli settlers and the military. The organisation is also sharply criticised at a political level. It is accused of fabricating stories\, damaging Israel's reputation and playing into the hands of anti-Semitism. The panel discussion will be held in English.\nRoom: Main Hall \nBiographies \nAnna-Esther Younes \nDr. Anna-Esther Younes is a scholar of race critical theories\, using psychoanalytic approaches and post-/colonial theory. In 2016\, she received a summa cum laude for her PhD thesis “Race\, Colonialism and the Figure of the Jew in a New Germany” from IHEID (Geneva\, CH\, 2015). Younes defines her work through the (anthropological) concept of “researching home” and “researching up to power”. Younes also holds the position of a lay judge in Berlin's youth court and has founded and organized the Colloquium of Color in Berlin for several years. She grew up in Haifa\, between Tel-Aviv and Beirut. Her work is shaped by local and global\, anti- and decolonial\, as well as queer liberation movements. Raz is a board member of the Germany based organization Jewish Voice for Just Peace in the Middle East. \n--- \nThis event is part of the Threads of Resilience Festival \nGiven the current situation and urgency to express\, we decided to co-organise a community-led and collectively curated 3-day festival “Threads of Resilience” from 14-16 December at Oyoun.Those include a press conference\, bazaar\, panels\, film screening\, talks\, exhibition\, workshops\, concerts\, healing session\, theater\, puppet show for children\, and parties. With this festival\, we want to reflect on and learn from movements of resistance\, resilience\, and solidarity across the world and come together for three days of ephemerality and collaborative archiving. We want to address and speak out against repression\, silencing\, instrumentalisation\, and division. We need to continue to empower\, promote\, and celebrate pluralistic perspectives from\, with\, and intersectionally marginalised communities.Admission is based on free donation (nobody will be denied entry if they cannot donate).
