DESCRIPTION:*** Die Ausstellung wurde bis zum 7. Dezember verlängert. *** \nVernissage am 01.11.2022\nDanach vom 02.11.2022 - 30.11.2022 täglich von 12:00 h – 19:00 h geöffnet \nIn Gedenken an den 60. Jahrestag der Unabhängigkeit Algeriens von Frankreich würdigt "Moudjahidate* - women*\, resistance\, queer alliance" das Engagement von Kämpferinnen* im Kampf um Freiheit und Autonomie für ihr Volk und sich selbst. Die Ausstellung schafft einen Raum für alle Frauen*\, die mit ihrem Körper\, ihrem Geist und ihrer Kraft zur Befreiung des Landes beigetragen haben. \nWährend der französischen Kolonialisierung schrieb Frantz Fanon in "Algeria Unveiled" (1965)\, wie Frankreich versuchte\, seine koloniale Herrschaft durch algerische Frauen* aufrechtzuerhalten: "'Wenn wir die Struktur der algerischen Gesellschaft\, ihre Fähigkeit zum Widerstand\, zerstören wollen\, müssen wir zuerst die Frauen erobern; wir müssen sie hinter dem Schleier finden\, unter dem sie sich verstecken\, und in den Häusern\, wo die Männer sie außer Sichtweite halten.'". Die berühmte Propaganda "Bist du nicht hübsch\, zeig dich" stellt deutlich die patriarchalische Herrschaft über algerischen Musliminnen* dar. \nSeit Anbeginn der Zeit sind Frauen*körper ein eigenes Territorium\, das danach strebt\, sich zu dekolonisieren\, das ummauerte Schweigen um sie herum zu durchbrechen und auf der Bühne ganz vorn zu stehen. Ihr Geist versucht\, einen Körper zu bewohnen\, der selbstbestimmt ist\, sich nach eigenen Regeln kleidet – Frauen* am Ursprung der Welt verkörpert und ehrt\, wer sie sind.  \nAm 1. November\, dem Tag\, an dem der algerische Unabhängigkeitskrieg vor 68 Jahren begann\, präsentiert "Moudjahidate* - women*\, resistance\, queer alliance" Werke von drei Künstlerinnen algerischer Herkunft\, deren Arbeiten die durchlebten Erfahrungen von Frauen* im (Nach-)Kriegsalgerien in den Mittelpunkt stellen: Nadja Makhlouf\, Sarah El Hamed und Maya Inès Touam. \n--- \nEintritt frei! \nBei einem Ausstellungsrundgang am 2.\,3.\, 4.\, und 5. SUMMARY:Llewellyn Mnguni | Jazz Dance Workshop
DESCRIPTION:A feisty combination of contemporary dance and modern dance movements. This dance workshop is curated specifically for beginner dancers who are interested as well as the LGBTQIA+ community and POC people in Berlin.  The focus is on body positivity\, fitness and freedom of movement. \nTo register send an E-mail address to: tlmnguni@gmail.com \nTickets: 15 € \nYou will receive the information on where to send the money\, once you register via E-Mail.  \nNo cash payments allowed and bookings are made in advance.  \nThe workshop will be held in English.  \nAbout Llewellyn:  \nDancer and choreographer Llewellyn Mnguni\, began training at the the age of 14\, at the Mmabana Mmabatho Arts Council as a Latin American and Ballroom dance student and continued to compete on a professional level from 1999-2002. In 2003 they attended the National School of the Arts and thereafter obtained a Dance Teachers Diploma at the University of Cape Town School of Dance School in the year 2010. \nMnguni also joined the Mmabana Dance Company as a full time dance teacher and choreographer from 2007-2009. While completing their final year in high school (Grade 12) they performed and choreographed for the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown in 2006 for their work ‘Prozac’ and then the GIPCA Live Arts Festival under the directorship of Jay Pather in 2012. In 2010 they joined the Bovim Ballet company under the directorship of Sean Bovim. Mnguni has performed with the likes of Celeste Botha and Marlin Zoutman during their time as a company member of New World Dance Theatre. \nThey have collaborated with well acclaimed artists such as Ahmed Umar for “Tribute to Ali” an exhibition at the Format gallery in Oslo. They have performed the challenging roles of Odile in Swan Lake\, Escamilio in Carmen and Myrtha in Giselle for Dada Masilo's extensive Asian\,European\, Canadian and US during 2013-2017\, Mnguni also collaborated with visual artist/LGBTI activist Zanele Muholi and Lerato Dumse for a series of exhibitions and site specific shows during the 2016 Oslo gay pride week. \nTheir dance teaching experience spans from teaching at dance companies\, primary and high schools as well as workshops around South Africa and Europe. DESCRIPTION:Adonis perform their anticipated album 'Hadis El Layl' at Oyoun! \nFamed Lebanese pop/rock band Adonis first came into sight with its debut single “Stouh Adonis” (2012)\, a dance tune relaying tales of night-time adventures on the rooftops of the group’s small suburban town. DESCRIPTION:The Poetry Meets Series is presenting their first intimate Poetry Meets ALTE edition with main acts Otis Mensah and Somadina as well as an array of magnificent poets\, celebrating alternative music\, the metaphysical and the poetics of the inbetween. \nDoors: 19:00 h\nStart: 20:00 h\nTickets: via Eventbrite \nProgramme \nMain acts: \nOtis Mensah is a musician and performing-artist exploring the intersection of poetry and experimental music(s). Taking influence from the rhythmic and expressive freedom of Jazz\, Otis’ work uses aesthetic language as an instrument to solo through themes of identity & existence. Since Otis' tenure as Sheffield's first Poet Laureate and debuts at Glastonbury and We Out Here\, Otis has played with the likes of Moor Mother\, Benjamin Zephaniah and Little Simz. \nSomadina is making music for herself. Part of the global generation of women where literally anything and nothing is simultaneously possible\, Somadina is finding her way one song at a time and cutting straight to the point. Her music is a tribute to the multiplicity of coming of age in a culture of metamodernism. In her 22 years\, Somadina has travelled the globe\, collecting experiences from a variety of places to call home. The genre blending nature of Somadina’s music is testament to her disparate references and ability to create her own unique sound. While Somadina’s music varies from track to track her unmistakable powerhouse of a voice is the ever present connection across her work. “If people can both hear and see my vision\, I figure they should be able to feel it..” And it is this creation of a feeling\, a mood - an undeniable energy - that makes Somadina such an intoxicating proposition. \nPoets: \nAmora Bosco is a Kenyan writer\, poet\, spoken word performance artist\, facilitator\, and activist based in Berlin\, Germany. Her mission is to bring about empowerment and positive change in the lives of African and the African Diaspora\, tackling issues of social justice\, culture\, health\, and education through creative writing\, storytelling\, and performance art. Bosco has and continues to establish platforms that give voices and raise awareness for diverse issues /situations in the everyday life of the Black diaspora community. Growing up in Mombasa’s thriving music scene Bosco performed\, recorded music\, and co-founded an artist network and event management organization focused on promoting Kenyan artists and music acts from the coastal region. Bosco works in project and event management\, teaches creative writing courses and facilitates workshops on a range of topics\, and offers African language classes. \nAdalet Müzeyyen: „I am because they are“ I am not just a me\, I am a we! In her stage presence Adalet wants to provide visibility for trans people and intersectional fights and show what they are capable of. Breaking down prejudices\, self-empowerment and empowerment as a community are Adalet's goals. As an aspiring lawyer\, she intervenes in political discourses outside of her art to fight for more rights and a better quality of life for marginalized people. \nOluwatoniloba  \nOluwatoniloba is a model\, content creator and poet. As a Nigerian with the zodiac sign Sagittarius\, she describes herself as a double force. Growing up in Stuttgart\, she found her love for poetry and fashion. She has been living in Berlin for 4 years now and found her love for herself there.
