SUMMARY:AS* PAPANGUS Ausstellung
SUMMARY:UN:IMAGINABLE - Talk: Urgency of Remembrance
DESCRIPTION:Talk on the urgency and politics of remembrance and art as a form of healing and trauma reflection \nWith Dr. Emilia Roig\, Maryan Abdulkarim and Jasmina Musić\nModerated by ShaNon Bobinger \nIn this talk\, four extraordinary creatives get together and discuss the many ways in which trauma can be reflected through various forms of art and potentially help ease the (un)conscious pain inherited or experienced.  They will also discuss the inevitability\, politics and urgency of remembrance serving ways to mirror society in times of increasing hate crimes\, bigotry\, racism and intolerance while embracing the need for communities and spaces to heal. \nStart: 15.00H (Café\, ground floor)\nLanguage: English\nTickets: Donation-based \n--- \nThis talk is part of UN:IMAGINABLE - our histories in conversation \nUN:IMAGINABLE is one remarkable theatre production resulting from lived realities of trauma\, war\, segregation and exile. In the 1990s the conflicts in Rwanda and the Balkans shattered the world and remain recorded as two of the bloodiest events in modern history. However\, testimonies and stories continue to this day. Many have fled their home country and some have reached Germany\, a space glorified as paradise.  \nSociety is stuck in suppressed fear and hatred leading to further conflicts while in denial of histories untold. UN:IMAGINABLE mirrors the banality of evil and its connection to everyday\, mundane life and deals with the hour prior to death in the lives of victims and perpetrators.  \nWorld Premiere: 18 May\, at 18.00H (Reception) / 19.30 H (Performance) \nAdditional performances:  \n19 May\, 19.00H (Doors) / 19.30H (Performance)\n22 May\, 19.00H (Doors) / 19.30H (Performance) \nUN:IMAGINABLE is produced by Oyoun Berlin\, Mashirika Performing Arts and Media Company Rwanda and the Sarajevo War Theater Bosnia-Herzegovina. \nSupported in the fund TURN2 the Federal Cultural Foundation and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media as well as by the Heinrich Böll Foundation. \n--- \nABOUT \n__Maryan Abdulkarim \nis Helsinki-based writer and public intellectual. She has co-founded the Feminist Party and served as Vice President of the Union of Women’s Affairs. He started to make his first steps as part of the Iconic International House of Saint-Laurent. During his first year he won the European Award for „All American Runway of the year“\, at the Galaxy Ball in Paris by Legendary Father Charly (Ebony) Gaultier-Brown. From time to time he tried several categories and won grand prizes in 10 different categories\, in 5 different countries. He\norganized a few ballroom events in Germany and judged onternationally. After being in the house of Ebony for almost 2 years he just debuted as a 007 in Paris\, where he again snatched two trophies. He is undefeated in Germany since almost 1\,5 years and collected over 50 trophies in total. His goal is to become known for European Runway\, All American Runway and Runway with a twist - which is his main category - but also for his community work\, projects and events that he wants to realize in the future. Till now Eros has been part of several campaigns\, interviews\, TV shows\, Performances\, Panel Talks etc. in connection to his Ballroom Career. For 2022 he already planned a few events and ballroom trips\, but his excitement for the ballroom youth project that he is co-initiating in Berlin\, is the biggest. \n◥ At Oyoun\, there is no place for sexism\, queerphobia\, transphobia\, any form of racism or discrimination such as anti-Black\, anti-Muslim or anti-Jewish racism\, and any sort of violent or aggressive behaviour.
