SUMMARY:AS* PAPANGUS Ausstellung
DESCRIPTION:Austellungseröffnung + Einführung von Bruna Amaro am 30.4.2022 von 18:00 bis 20:00 h\nDanach (vom 1.5. – 27.5.2022) täglich von 12:00 h – 20:00 h \nDie Ausstellung wird ein Ort des Gedenkens und der Ehrung der Frauen* sein\, deren tägliches Leben ein Kampf gegen den allgegenwärtigen Femizid und die strukturelle Unterdrückung ist. Die Feier ihres Überlebens wird in einem multimedialen Format präsentiert: Installation der Kleider und Masken\, die von den Frauen* in den Straßen von São Paulo und Berlin-Neukölln getragen wurden\, sowie die Videodokumentation der Karnevalsperformance in São Paulo. \nIn diesem partizipatorischen Projekt legte eine Reihe von Performance-Workshops den Grundstein für die folgenden Aktionen\, in denen die Künstlerin und die Teilnehmer*innen gemeinsam Bewegungen und Aussagen für ihre Straßenperformance entwickelten. Auf die von Bruna Amaro und der Näherin Eliana Amaro dos Santos handgefertigten Kostüme wurden Phrasen gestickt\, die Erfahrungen des Überlebens\, der Transformation und der Arbeit zum Ausdruck bringen. \nAS* PAPANGUS setzt sich kritisch mit der kolonialen Matrix des Karnevals auseinander\, indem es auf den unterdrückenden Blick achtet und die Ausbeutung von queeren Körpern\, von Körpern von Frauen*\, von Farbigen\, von Menschen mit Behinderungen und von Körpern\, die struktureller Unterdrückung ausgesetzt sind\, nicht zulässt. \nAS* PAPANGUS eröffnet das erste Kapitel von Oyouns kuratorischem Schwerpunkt Mightier than a Trampled Flower\, der das Leben von Frauen* im Krieg aus einem dekolonialen Kontext heraus in den Mittelpunkt stellt und die kanonischen Erzählungen von Frauen* im Krieg dekonstruiert. \nMehr Infos findest du hier. \nAS* PAPANGUS ist ein Karneval für\, von und mit Frauen*\, der keine marginalisierten Körper objektiviert. Aida is a translator for the United Nations in the small town of Srebrenica. When the Serbian army takes over the town\, her family is among the thousands of citizens looking for shelter in the UN camp. As an insider to the negotiations\, Aida has access to crucial information that she needs to interpret. What is at the horizon for her family and people - rescue or death? And I’ve got 10 years experience doing so. \nDuring the genocide against Bosniaks\, I grew up in Germany’s cosiest refugee camp (by “cozy” I mean it was a damn aluminum container)\, until I was forced to go “back” to a country I didn’t even know – Bosnia. In the ruins of Sarajevo\, I studied Journalism and filled my adrenalin addiction through adventurous trips to exotic destinations such as Bonn\, Potsdam and Berlin – at Deutsche Welle\, the Electronic Media School and the Parliament of Germany (know your enemy). Despite a successful career in Bosnian media\, I decided to return to Germany in 2015 – after almost 20 years in Bosnia. \nHere\, I continued working as a journalist\, became a columnist\, founded “Perspective Collective” – a collective of journalists that are refugees and/or POC. Now I’m building a media startup in Bosnia and working on two documentaries. \nJasmila Žbanić (director) \nBorn in Sarajevo in 1974\, Jasmila is a graduate of her native city’s Academy of Dramatic Arts\, Theatre and Film Directing Department. Before filmmaking\, she also worked as a puppeteer in the Vermont-based Bread and Puppet Theater and as a clown in a Lee Delong workshop. Her feature debut GRBAVICA won the 2006 Berlinale Golden Bear\, was sold to 40 territories and received nominations for European Film and Actress at the European Film Awards. \nON THE PATH\, Jasmila’s second feature film\, premiered at the 2010 Berlinale\, in the Competition section. The film had world-wide distribution in 25 territories\, won numerous awards\, and was nominated for European Actress at the European Film Awards. \nJasmila’s films and video works have been displayed at dozens of art exhibitions world-wide such as Manifesta 3\, the Istanbul Biennial\, Kunsthalle Fridericianum Kassel\, Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation\, New Museum in New York(...) SUMMARY:Rotimi –  All Or Nothing World Tour
DESCRIPTION:Rotimi kommt mit dem Debütalbum „All or Nothing“ für eine exklusive Show nach Deutschland! \nMit Co-Signings von T-Pain\, 50 Cent\, JAY-Z\, Jamie Foxx und T.I. leitet Sänger und Songwriter Rotimi eine neue Ära der Game Changer ein. Während er bislang vor allem für seine Schauspielrollen wie in der amerikanischen Hitserie „STARZ“ bekannt ist\, startete er mit seinem Debütalbum in diesem Jahr auch musikalisch richtig durch.\nDer Schauspieler und Sänger vermischt modernen R&B-Sound mit traditionellem Afrobeat und Dancehall und ergänzt das Ganze mit seinem eigenen\, sanften Sound aus globalen Einflüssen. Seine erste EP „Jeep Music Volume 1“\, welche bereits 2017 erschien\, generierte mit „Want More“ (ft. Kranium) über 40 Millionen Streams. Doch bis zu seinem im August 2021 erschienen Debütalbum „All or Nothing“ wurden die Fans über die Jahre immer wieder mit einigen Mixtapes wie „The Resume“\, „While You Wait“ oder „The Beauty of Becoming“ musikalisch verwöhnt. Letztere EP beinhaltet den mit goldausgezeichnetem Track „In My Bed“ feat. Wale. Im April 2020 veröffentlichte Rotimi eine sechs Songs umfassende Akustik-EP namens „Unplugged Sessions“\, die seine Hörer*innen ins Schwärmen brachte.
