SUMMARY:AS* PAPANGUS Ausstellung
DESCRIPTION:Austellungseröffnung + Einführung von Bruna Amaro am 30.4.2022 von 18:00 bis 20:00 h\nDanach (vom 1.5. – 27.5.2022) täglich von 12:00 h – 20:00 h \nDie Ausstellung wird ein Ort des Gedenkens und der Ehrung der Frauen* sein\, deren tägliches Leben ein Kampf gegen den allgegenwärtigen Femizid und die strukturelle Unterdrückung ist. Die Feier ihres Überlebens wird in einem multimedialen Format präsentiert: Installation der Kleider und Masken\, die von den Frauen* in den Straßen von São Paulo und Berlin-Neukölln getragen wurden\, sowie die Videodokumentation der Karnevalsperformance in São Paulo. \nIn diesem partizipatorischen Projekt legte eine Reihe von Performance-Workshops den Grundstein für die folgenden Aktionen\, in denen die Künstlerin und die Teilnehmer*innen gemeinsam Bewegungen und Aussagen für ihre Straßenperformance entwickelten. Auf die von Bruna Amaro und der Näherin Eliana Amaro dos Santos handgefertigten Kostüme wurden Phrasen gestickt\, die Erfahrungen des Überlebens\, der Transformation und der Arbeit zum Ausdruck bringen. \nAS* PAPANGUS setzt sich kritisch mit der kolonialen Matrix des Karnevals auseinander\, indem es auf den unterdrückenden Blick achtet und die Ausbeutung von queeren Körpern\, von Körpern von Frauen*\, von Farbigen\, von Menschen mit Behinderungen und von Körpern\, die struktureller Unterdrückung ausgesetzt sind\, nicht zulässt. \nAS* PAPANGUS eröffnet das erste Kapitel von Oyouns kuratorischem Schwerpunkt Mightier than a Trampled Flower\, der das Leben von Frauen* im Krieg aus einem dekolonialen Kontext heraus in den Mittelpunkt stellt und die kanonischen Erzählungen von Frauen* im Krieg dekonstruiert. \nMehr Infos findest du hier. \nAS* PAPANGUS ist ein Karneval für\, von und mit Frauen*\, der keine marginalisierten Körper objektiviert. In AS* PAPANGUS inszeniert die afro-brasilianische Künstlerin Bruna Amaro mit mehr als 50 Frauen* in São Paulo und Berlin einen Karneval in seiner queer-feministischsten und dekolonialsten Form. \nAlle Veranstaltungen zur Reihe AS*PAPANGUS findest du hier. \nAS* PAPANGUS wird gefördert vom Goethe-Institut São Paulo. \n◥ Im Oyoun ist kein Platz für Sexismus\, Queerfeindlichkeit\, Transfeindlichkeit\, jegliche Form von Rassismus oder Diskriminierung wie antischwarzem\, antimuslimischem Rassismus oder Antisemistismus. SUMMARY:‘ABBAS’ Screening + Q&A
DESCRIPTION:“ABBAS” is a short-documentary about Sudanese in Calais on their way towards a more dignified and hopeful life in freedom and peace. Instead\, they are confronted with everyday struggle with police surveillance and acts of violence. “This is not just a film\, it is a journey to explore some of what my people are going through in that place. The feeling of being lost\, threatened and rejected. The feeling of surviving the Unknown. The feeling of getting tortured for no reason at all.”\, says Zeyo Mann\, director and one of the producers. \n \n  \nZeyo: \nMustafa Elsiddig\, known as Zeyo is a Sudanese national\, born in Wad Madani. Zeyo grew up in the United Arab Emirates\, in the Al-ain. He fell in love with Rap music and started pursuing it when he was 16 years old. At first\, he used to write poetry but couldn’t quite grasp the flow. Although he was in love with this art\, it was challenging\, as he is a stutterer. Until one day he played a beat he found on YouTube\, and attempted to rap on it. That’s when he discovered that he can perform since then he hasn’t stopped. \nTo Zeyo music is a comfort zone. As he had had a tough childhood because of his stuttering condition\, he grew to get over it\, by making this art. By which he learned some extra skills such as making beats\, video editing and photography. He strives toward transforming any negativity he is subjected to into solitude that benefits his growth. His goal is to express what he\, and others\, go through due to freedom suppression practised by the extremist right-wing government in Sudan. He also strives towards establishing a platform in his country\, to help revolutionary artists\, who are not fortunate enough to practice their artistry\, due to the hard living conditions that they go through because of the government. \n  \nJulian Damm: \nJulian Damm a video and photographer from Berlin \n  \n  \n◥ At Oyoun\, there is no place for sexism\, queerphobia\, transphobia\, any form of racism or discrimination such as anti-Black\, anti-Muslim or anti-Jewish racism\, and any sort of violent or aggressive behavior.
