Shaghayegh Kamyar, born in 1986, is a Tehran based artist. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Photography and Scenography at the Azad Islamic University of Tehran and completed her Masters in Research in Arts on Play in Contemporary Art with a focus on interdisciplinary approaches. As an artist, her focus is on human relationships, especially on issues such as war, conflict and identity. Her experience has often led her to use a variety of media such as game design and participatory arts. She worked with several artists and initiatives in Iran, including the Food Photography Festival, which she ran for three editions as General Manager. She has been a member of the curatorial team of the New Media Society since 2015. Shaghayegh is part of the New Media Society.
