Rüzgâr Buski

Rüzgâr Buşki is an artist, director and producer from Istanbul who lives in Berlin. Rüzgâr's artistic practice spans printmaking, performance, video and film. Rüzgâr's works address the body and identity as social constructs, the self as a futuristic landscape and the human condition as an object of deconstruction. Her / his assemblages of self-community-society change the routines of everyday life with irony and humor and hold ready opportunities for a sudden change in the unknown. In 2013 she / he co-founded Kanka Productions, a transfeminist production network. Rüzgâr is a master student in the class of Prof. Dr. Hito Steyerl at the Berlin University of the Arts. In 2019 she / he received the Zeliş Deniz Queer Cinema Award. You are the winner of the Karl Hofer Prize 2019. Rüzgâr is currently a scholarship holder of the Close Up Initiative Documentary Development Program 2020-2021.
