Mohsen Hazrati

Mohsen Hazrati was born in Shiraz/Iran in 1987. He graduated from the Shiraz Art Institute of Higher Education in 2012 with a BA in Graphic Design and minors in New Media and Digital Art. His work explores digital culture, new aesthetics, and the integration of these two themes into Shiraz culture and mystical literature, and has been featured in The Wrong New Digital Art Biennale, Babycastles Gallery New York, Matchbox Gallery Texas, Telematic Media Arts San Francisco, V-Gallery Tehran, ESPRONCEDA Institute of Art & Culture Barcelona etc. exhibited.

Since 2013 he is co-founder and curator with Milad Forouzande of the Dar-Al-Hokoomeh Project, a new media arts institution in Shiraz, Iran. He was also co-curator of Dar Al Wrong, the first Iranian Pavilion with Embassy at the Wrong Biennial in Iran and Patch Room, the new media art section at the first Iranian art fair Teer Art, etc. Since 2016, Mohsen has been teaching as Assistant Professor at his alma mater, where he teaches courses in Digital Aesthetics and VFX. In 2017 he was invited to be one of the guest speakers on the "Mollasadra St" episode of the TEDx video series. He is currently a Digital Art Fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart.
