Aida Salander

AÏDA SALANDER is a Tunisian multidisciplinary artist based in France. In her sets she expresses her emotions and her interactions with her surroundings, or what she calls “the vibe”. She moves subtly from chilled rave to psychedelic trance, house and techno, past Rai, hip-hop or vintage and popular hits from the East and North African scene. In the summer of 2018 she played a DJ set in Nerac, south-west France and in November 2019 another at the activist festival Avides Tempêtes, which heralded the start of her career in France. After that, she joined the collective ISOLA SOUND an, a multicultural and multidisciplinary collective gathered around the arts. After a residency at Radio Flouka and Club L'Oeil, she joined the Atelier des artistes en Exil. AÏDA SALANDER is currently a fellow at ESAD Grenoble-Valence and the Marseille School of Fine Arts, where she works on the relationship between mushrooms, music and the environment through sound recording.
