We usually share job postings at this point to expand our team. Unfortunately, it currently looks as if we ourselves will collectively and relatively quickly lose our jobs. Not only do people's livelihoods depend on this, but sometimes their residence status also depends on it.

The end of Oyoun's funding at the end of this year was announced on November 20th - with just over a month's notice - by Berlin's Senator for Culture Joe Chialo (CDU). Because funding was guaranteed until 2025 and due to the short notice, we did not have the opportunity to plan the search for new jobs. We were unable to inform the “Federal Employment Agency” in time and are now generally faced with great planning uncertainty and possibly a three-month ban. The decision of the Cultural Senate has consequences that threaten the existence of people in some particularly precarious life situations.

Members of our team have contacted the Cultural Senate and explained the precarious situation we find ourselves in. We asked for clarity and help. Unfortunately we never received an answer.

We simply cannot risk not getting paid, not being able to pay rent, and losing our livelihood or immigration status next month.

Because we know how large and generous our community is, we would like to share some job profiles from our team here. If you currently have vacancies in these areas or have ideas for a new one, we look forward to hearing from you via hallo@oyoun.de
