We are looking for 10 women* in Berlin who would like to take part in the AS* PAPANGUS street performance on May 7th.
AS* PAPANGUS by Bruna Amaro is a celebration by and for women* - it's about our lives, our struggles to survive, our fight against the many facets of structural oppression in our society.
On May 7th you will walk through the streets of Neukölln with your fellow campaigners. You will dance to music, instruments in hand, in handmade costumes and wearing papangu masks.
In the workshop with the artist on May 6th and 7th you will reconnect with your body and share your somatic journey through migration, transition, work and oppression. Your statement to the world will be embroidered on your Papangu clothing.
If you are interested in participating, please email the following information in any format to by April 26th dami@oyoun.de:
– a brief introduction of yourself
- an answer to the question: what makes you a fighter, what makes you more powerful than a trampled flower?
– your experiences/memories/feelings that you want to explore during the workshop and street performance.
We particularly welcome applications from women* from marginalized communities.
