Gadag ~ program in DGS


On this page you will find information about the program GADAG – threads of memories, which are relevant for deaf people who use DGS (German Sign Language). You can find information at the bottom of this website in DGS in video format.

1. exhibition openingon March 24 at 16-22h

– The artist talk at 18-19h will be interpreted in DGS by Oya Ataman.

– A DGS communication assistant (Mille) will be present in the exhibition space between 17-20pm to accompany your exhibition experience.

2. exhibitionon 25.03-30.04

The exhibition features a total of seven video works with English subtitles, which are accompanied by drawings, banners and objects.

In one video work, the English subtitles are not complete and are only available where non-English languages ​​are spoken.

We are in the process of organizing the regular presence of DGS communication assistants. If you would like to experience the exhibition with a communication assistant, please send us an email to dami@oyoun.de.

3. Film screenings

기억의 전쟁 Untold (A War of Memories) on 04.04, 20-23h

– The film has English subtitles.

– After the screening there will be a film discussion with the director, which will be interpreted into DGS by Viviane Grünberger.

We will continually update information about additional film screenings with full English or German subtitles on this page (TBC).

4. Visual storytelling workshop on 14.04

Hyemi Jo, Mai, Mimi, My-Le will be giving a workshop on visual storytelling/video production for/with deaf people (details and time TBC).
