'How to podcast? - Podcasting in an anti-racist/activist context' - a workshop by Hamam Talk. Directed by Linda Hamoui and Sarah Farhatiar

From the end of August to mid-October, our Tiny House travels through Berlin districts to interact interactively with the neighborhood and partners at cultural venues and institutions. With a wide range of workshops by different creative artists, decolonial knowledge and artistic practices are to be linked with marketing, design and knowledge transfer.

The workshop "How to Podcast? Podcasting in an anti-racist/activist context" offers participants the opportunity to learn the basics of podcasting while exploring the potential of podcasts in the context of anti-racism and activism. A balanced mixture of theoretical input and practical exercises enables the participants to design, record, edit and present their own podcast episodes. The workshop aims to encourage raising voices for positive change and create a space for creative expression in the service of social justice.

Biographies
Linda Hamoui
Linda Hamoui was born and raised in Bamberg. She studied Islamic studies, Middle East studies and communication sciences at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg and at the FAU in Erlangen. Her main focus was on Islamic law, Islamism and sexuality in Islam.
In the summer of 2020, together with her friend Sarah, she founded the podcast "Hamam Talk" in which she talks about racism, politics, culture, society, identity and sexuality. All topics that have accompanied her for a long time due to her own Syrian roots.
In addition to her educational work, she also gives anti-racism and podcast workshops. Linda is currently working as a community manager at ZDF and moderator for the format TLNT.TALK.BERLIN at TLNT&TLNT eV
Sarah Farhatiar
Sarah Farhatiar was born in Freiburg im Breisgau and grew up there. She completed her studies in Islamic Studies with a focus on Central and South Asia and Sociology at the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg. She also earned a Masters in Global Studies from the University of Basel. During her studies she focused in particular on feminist peace and conflict studies as well as migration.
In the summer of 2020, Sarah co-founded the podcast "Hamam Talk" with her friend Linda, in which she talks about a wide range of topics, including racism, politics, culture, society, identity and sexuality. They also accompany these topics on the basis of their own personal experiences.
In addition to "Hamam Talk", Sarah also works on intersectional feminism and foreign policy with a special focus on Afghanistan.
