Creative Writing Workshop - “Who has the right to tell whose story?”
July 3, 2022 14:00 - 17:00
Who has the right to tell whose story? Are we really expected to write about our unique, fetishizable, heartbreaking lives? Or do we have the right to write about lives and worlds that are beyond us? Where does empathy begin and where does it end? How can we create a three-dimensional "other" without stepping on an identity-politics minefield?
These are current questions that we want to pursue in this workshop.
Goal of the course:
Learn to write characters that are believable and realistic, but don't play into the stereotypes that dominate narratives about identities.
Fee: 25€
There are 15 participant places available.
Two free places for those who cannot pay at the moment. E-mail: literature.atelier@gmail.com
