"Share Your Empathy": A creative workshop to participate and empathize with for young people and adults

A series of workshops in collaboration with the Korea Verband

As part of the “가닥 GADAG – Threads of Memories” project, Oyoun and the Korea Association are organizing the open and participatory creative workshop “Share Your Empathy” for young and old.  

Participants will be guided through the multimedia exhibition “Our bodies, our struggles, our stories”, which is in cooperation with Spicy Ginkgo created, inspired to become artistically active oneself. In the creative workshop you can, for example, create motifs for buttons, write thoughts on tissue paper with calligraphy brushes, build houses for the small peace statue out of shoe boxes or decorate wooden boxes with secret stories. Severe traumatic memories are thus collectively interwoven into new GADAG.

가닥 Gadag is a project by Oyoun, funded by the Lotto Stiftung Berlin, with its public program on 24 March - 30 April, 2024. It has three chapters unfolding at the same time: Strands (video and multimedia exhibition), Tangle (laboratory) and Knots (accompanying events and program).

Accessibility:
- Seminar room 2 is located on the 1st floor and can be reached via the stairs or the elevator. 
- Chairs, benches, bean bags and seat cushions are available as seating options.
- There are retreats on the 2nd floor, next to the hall.
- The barrier-free toilet on the 1st floor can be reached from the hall via the elevator.
