48h Neukölln | Mr. Metitsch – play in sign language
June 25, 2023 12:00 - 13:20

Mr. Metitsch has created his own world. He collects things and objects and integrates them into a sophisticated system of order, which he meticulously protects. Without his order of things, Mr. Metitsch could not exist. Because NOTHING is much more threatening than something. Mr. Metitsch has a past. Experiences that cling to him like stubborn cobwebs. And based on the things that surround him, he unpacks his thoughts bit by bit.
The Neukölln cultural association Visionären (Vision for deaf and hearing people) converted the play by Karin Strauß into German sign language and translated metaphors and puns into visual images. Actor Rolf Puttrich-Reignard performs and signs Mr. Metitsch on stage. At the same time, there will be live translation into spoken language so that deaf and hearing people alike can take part in this event.
