We invite you to the premiere performances of the play from the children's and youth theater project Check!
A future with a future! Doesn't everyone wish that? Check!
What is a girl, what is a boy, and what am I? The children's world does not turn pink or blue. It's the colors of self-images, the development and interests of diversity.
"I think it's so unfair that:
- I once felt like I was crippled because I have a dark skin color "
- Men get more money than women "
- When I couldn't speak German, they were excluded "
We see through our eyes, we change and shape our future ...
In the end we learn how important it is to be more!

Check! is a safe space for the sensitive and mindful handling of exclusions, a space to share your own point of view with the community and beyond, to show yourself to be vulnerable without being hurt. Check! is a youth dance theater project of the LGBTIQ * and PoC community that has set itself the task of rewriting and telling history, expanding it with a queer * feminist, anti-classical perspective.
Check team
The core of Check! forms a permanent group of approx. 10 young people from the Berlin PoC and LGBTIQ * community between the ages of 10 and 14, who are guided by the theater and dance teachers Senait Sebhatleab and Lorena Valdenegro.
Concept
We work under the themes of racism, discrimination and equal justice. The youngsters are invited to bring their own experiences to the stage and tell their stories through dance and movements. We work with the topic, everyone tells what everyone wants. Nothing is forced. At the end we show how we imagine the world to be fair without all kinds of discrimination and gender.
