_Bia Ferreira, Afro-Brazilian musician and activist is performing a live concert here on September 3rd at Oyoun!

The Minas Gerais-born singer-songwriter conquered Brazil with the song "cota nao é esmola" ("Rated Quotas Are No Charity"), an anti-racist resistance anthem. Mixing gospel, rap and reggae, the album "Igreja Lesbiteriana, O chamado" (Lesbian Church, The Call) was released in 2019 and aims to use information to create an anti-racist revolution with an increase in LGBTQI+ protagonism .

In addition to her success in Brazil, Bia Ferreira has also made a name for herself internationally, in countries such as Germany, Portugal, Spain, France and Mexico. Bia's art manifesto has been heard on some major stages such as Pulse redbull Music (Sao Paulo), Favela Sounds (Brasilia), Oi STU Open (Rio de Janeiro) and Festival Morrostock (Rio Grande do Sul).

Accompanied by mostly female and black musicians, Bia Ferreira creates music that goes beyond the body and touches the spirit.

Born and raised in Nova Iguaçu (Rio de Janeiro - BR), the singer-songwriter was exposed to music from a young age, heavily influenced by the Church. There she learned what music is and how it affects people. She emigrated to São Paulo, Brazil, with dreams of singing professionally and started her career by releasing her first EP which bears her name INACY and consists of 6 tracks based on classic RnB, Jamaican rhythms, electronic music influences Samba , rap and soul music. This work comes from experiments and immerses intensely in all the emotions of the artist to describe how she sees and feels life. She has performed in Brazil at many events including: Spring Festival, Grajaú São Paulo (Brazil) and Festival Sonora Internacional de Composers, São Paulo (Brazil), Flinta (Berlin), Labyle Festival, and others. She currently lives in Berlin and develops her art through new musicality and contacts with people from all over the world. At the moment Inacy is working on her new album which should be released soon.
