Exhibition | Different perspective - show your face

Afrikakzent Media eV cordially invites you to the exhibition opening of "Other Perspectives - Show Your Face"!

This project is about introducing people with African connections based on their activities. This happens in a maximum of 10-minute video portraits, in which the protagonists* go through their everyday work with the camera
are accompanied and, in addition to providing insights into the realities of their lives, they also provide insights into their culture of origin and the background to their migration.

This gives the viewers not only personal stories but also general insights into the lives of people in the Global South. It is important to focus on the perspective of people of African descent.

The exhibition is open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m

About the club:

afrikAkzent Media eV is a cosmopolitan association that wants to promote a lively sphere of exchange of views on the coexistence of different ethnic groups and nationalities within society through multimedia channels.

The philosophy of the association is therefore based not only on the deconstruction of Africa - stereotypes and racist clichés that still exist, but above all on the desire to present black citizens in the media as enriching, active and
represent an equal part of German society. One-sided and often negatively connoted images of Africa are to be exchanged for positive and differentiated images in order to promote intercultural encounters at eye level and to expand the platform of public opinion leaders and role models.
