Solidarity, productive and participatory - that is the description of the project “Muslim Read Diversity in Conversation”. To realize the concept, the Working Group invites Muslims and people who read Muslim to the event 'Anti-patriarchal and gender-inclusive communities'. In many encounters over the past few years, the participants have also dealt with the questions of anti-patriarchal and gender-inclusive structures in a well-founded and comprehensive manner and this from the perspective of people who are interwoven in Muslim communities and communities read as Muslim. In the anti-patriarchal community space, the efforts of the last few years should now come together, knowledge and insights be collected and the gates opened for exchange with friends and interested parties.

The MG diversity project
"Muslim Read Diversity in Conversation" fights against the homogenizing and racist ideas about "the" Muslims. The project aims to bring together different Muslims or people who read Muslims in a new format for debate and participation in order to promote a solidarity-based exchange and productive handling of foreign attributions.
The project is scheduled to run for 5 years. In the first phase, the participants discussed topics they had chosen themselves and, in the second phase, worked out common demands or messages in working groups. The third phase is about the transfer of these jointly developed messages towards the so-called majority society. For this purpose, a discussion with influential actors from politics and the media will be organized with the intention of being able to change the negative images of society in the long term through encounters.
The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth as part of the federal program 'Democracy Life!'. Co-sponsors are the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Homeland, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees and the State Office for Equal Treatment - Against Discrimination of the State of Berlin.
